From start received a warm welcome in particular Albina, who arranged fruit and wine at short notice in both rooms despite only sister celebrating wedding anniversary and special birthday. Choice of food exceptional in all restaurants, including sweet treats in patisserie. Staff from cleaners, gardeners, to waiters are polite and cannot do enough to make stay pleasant and comfortable, in particular Emrah and Husnu who ensured we had everything we needed at meal times, always taking time to chat despite being super busy. Good choice of activities, rifle shooting, archery, boules (bocce) to name a few, organised by the amazing entertainments team especially Barcu and Mehmet, their enthusiasm knows no bounds! Rooms are clean and well kitted out, if we were being picky the bathrooms could be bigger. Corridors may benefit from sensor lighting as a little gloomy, especially in the evenings. Fantastic vibe from hotel, most definitely intend on returning next year.

I had the most enjoyable week away, wish I had booked two weeks! Honestly from the moment you turn up everyone makes sure your every need is met.
Really welcoming staff that made sure you had everything you needed.
Food – everything was great, buffet style but food is constantly being made so its all fresh throughout, so much choice. The food that stood out to me was amazing array of cheeses, fresh breads, olives, dips, meats, lots of different baklava, the omelette station at breakfast, so many puddings, Turkish tea stand. All the waiting staff were really attentive and friendly couldn't ask for better these guys are honestly brilliant. There is also a little bakery/coffee house that does the best sweet treats and hot drinks we visited daily. Great cocktail menu, I highly recommend a mojito and make use you ask for the captain he makes the best!
Room - We stayed in a whirlpool room, if you can stretch to one I highly recommend, nothing completed the day like a soak in your very own private whirlpool bath on your balcony. Rooms are immaculate, cleaned to a high standard daily, beds are so comfy and bedding fresh and soft, not one complaint about room, you even have a pillow menu. You also get the usual toiletries, robes, slippers, plus a Barut beach bag. Mini bar well stocked and replenished daily.
Grounds - if you are like me and cant keep away from the gym even on holiday then your in luck, a fairly well equipped gym. Its enough to get a decent workout, equipment isn't the standard I'm used to back at home but it does the job and there is always towels and bottled water in the gym. Grounds are well maintained, pools are clean, if you want a space by pool be ready to be faced with the usual reserve a bed with a towel which I find ridiculous. Make sure you have a Turkish bath and also make use of the free facilities at the spa
I could go on and on but best wrap it up, I would highly recommend the Barut Hemera to anyone looking for a holiday full of relaxing, good food and drink, the majority guests we spoke to during our stay were returning guests some had been going for over 10 years. We are planning to return later in the year for two weeks this time and cant wait

We were apprehensive about taking a holiday at this time as we wondered how hotels would operate on A.I basis while having to implement the necessary changes to try and provide a safe environment for their guests. We spent a considerable amount of time selecting our accommodation and after great deliberation decided upon the Barut Hemera.
We had high expectations of this property and we weren't disappointed. When we arrived it was obvious that the hotel had made a massive effort to achieve high levels of hygiene and a system of social distancing in public areas.
We found our rooms to be of the highest standard with a powerful shower and a really comfortable bed. The rooms were kept spotlessly clean and the mini bar refilled daily.
As we were concerned about how the Main Restaurant in a hotel would operate safely, our main reason for deciding on the Hemera was because it has 4 a la carte restaurants and these unlike a lot of its competitors these were at no extra cost.Luckily we managed to use these for 5 nights of our break.The ambiance of these restaurants was really nice and the food was excellent. We used the Main Restaurant for dinner twice during our stay and even though the hotel had tried to put safety measures in place these didn't work basically because none of the guests would social distance and allow you even minimal space. I think that the hotel really needs to rethink the operation of the main restaurant.
The staff all worked hard to provide a first class service in challenging times and a special mention must go to Sid (Customer liaison) for going the extra mile. We would definitely choose to stay in a Barut hotel again. Outstanding.

Came back from this hotel on 12th September and I was generally very happy with the hotel. Positives: the staff are really friendly and work incredibly hard to ensure you have a great holiday. The hotel has to be one of the cleanest hotels I have visited and staff take the covid-19 guidelines seriously. The hotel is constantly cleaned and hand sanitiser is available everywhere and all staff wear masks. The only time I felt at risk was in the buffet when other customers came very close to you not really social distancing. Some of my family wore masks to ensure greater safety. The entertainment on a night was a little predictable but we honestly enjoyed each night and my grandson was doing all the dances by the end of the week. The food and drink at the hotel are excellent and it is one of the better all inclusive I have been on.
Negatives: the view from the room was poor and despite asking for a different room this was not available despite the hotel not being busy. We asked to pay for an upgrade but were to be charged £450 for 7 days which I felt very expensive.
Would I go back to this hotel: definitely yes, it is a lovely hotel with great staff,

Returned a few weeks ago from a lovely holiday with friends at Barut Hemera. Was sceptical about travelling during the pandemic but the hotel handled everything so well. Face masks were available free of charge at the reception desk and there was hand sanitizing stations all over the hotel. The hotel was quite busy when we were there but we still managed to eat in 3 of the 4 a la carte restaurants. Our favourite was the Olive. The waiters were so attentive and all of the dishes were cooked to perfection. Some other reviews said the quality of the breakfast was below standard but we found it to be just right. We were able to get a sunbed every morning (not always in our preferred spot but still able to find one). We preferred to have a drink in the lobby bar after dinner. The service there was brilliant. Table service which we really liked and made it so much nicer than having to constantly get up and go to the bar. All the staff overall were very helpful but we especially want to thank Sid who works in guest relations. It was so nice to be able to talk to someone who was so knowledgeable about the hotel and the surrounding areas. Always pleasant and nothing was ever a problem for him. When we arrived there wasn't many tables available to book in a la carte restaurants but after speaking to Sid he arranged it all for us. His service has now made us true ambassadors for this hotel. Hoping to return as early as next Spring, pandemic permitting.

My husband and I have just returned from a 12 day stay at the Barut hemera in Side and what a fantastic, comfortable and COVID safe stay we had.
This is the first time I’ve been in an all inclusive hotel that everything is all inclusive including the safe in the room and the mini bar.
We were booked in to a superior double room but we upgraded to a swim up room once we got there, we had a pool which was only shares with 7 other rooms, we had a beautiful room with our own bathroom and loads of storage ( please see photos) our own balcony with steps into the pool. Towels are supplied for around the pool and for use in the beach and can be changed every day.
The hotel has 1 main restaurant a beach bar/ restaurant and 4 al a carte restaurants and a 24 hour bar in the main lobby. It also has 2 pools and direct access to the beach with sun loungers.
The main areas of the hotels is kept immaculate and social distancing measure have been put in place very successfully, guests do not need to wear masks but all staff members do and there are plenty of hand sanitiser stations and masks placed all over the main areas of the hotel. The staff are very friendly, extremely helpful and they can’t do anymore to make you feel welcome and comfortable, especially Sid in guest relations.
We have re booked to go next April and I would recommend this hotel to anybody thinking of booking.

Omg what can I say other than fantastic! Staff amazing hotel the best I've ever stayed in. So clean covid taken very seriously all staff wear masks rooms cleaned daily they even supplied a covid box with masks hand sanitizer and wipes in your room. This hotel is 2nd to none will be definitely going back sooner rather than later. Highly recommended to all my friends and family. Just got home from 10 days in this fantastic hotel . Everything was sanitised from your cases on arrival to individual sealed cutlery at all times . Room was fab over the Patisserie right in the middle of the complex overlooking the main pool . Breakfast was in the main restaurant ,staff always on hand with drinks and food was served to you buffet style behind protective screens , lots of variation to suit everybody .Lunch was a pick from menu at Olive , Beach bar or buffet from main restaurant again loads to choose from all served with a smile . There are four A la Carte restaurant , Olive(Italian) , Sofra (Turkish) Akdeniz(International) and Sandal (Seafood) all were exceptional and can be booked whilst there or pre booked with guest services if and when available .Drinks were available at all times throughout the hotel ,pool bar , beach bar and lobby bar which was 24 hours . The staff at the pool were fabulous always coming around poolside to top you up if required ,even remembering what you were drinking yesterday 👏. The beach bar staff in the day and during the evening were superb one even saying to me “You spent 8 hours on the beach yesterday you crazy man and now you do it again “😂Here’s a beer 👍🏻. There was one guy called Ozan who worked in The Patisserie from 4pm to 6 then main restaurant 6 till 10 then finished off in the pool bar 10 till 12 , what a lovely man always there with a smile , couldn't do enough for us be it never having an empty glass ,making us laugh out loud ,running around the restaurant just before chucking out time getting us cakes and introducing complete strangers to us by saying “These are my friends Sharon and Phil” instigating conversations , he is a credit to the hotel and should be promoted 👍🏻The beach is lovely with a few rocks here and there by the jetty , go to the end of the jetty and you will be fine .The walk to Side is lovely especially as the sun goes down and takes about 30-40 minutes and the harbour area and the ruins are really outstanding.All in all a fabulous 10 days and booked again for next May .....see you there .

Hi All, hope you are all safe. Wanted to give you a heads up on the new normal. We traveled hassle free both ways and through the airports in record time so very relaxing. Flights were great not fully booked due to restart but everyone was in good spirits and masks on! Arrived at the Barut Hemera (our 5th time I think over the years) wanted to be somewhere we knew. Great welcome from the staff and a quick but informative review of things in place etc. All bars open and of course table service, staff wearing masks and gloves which I’m sure reassured many guests. Restaurants were open with again table service and very attentive staff which is very normal. Buffet restaurant had been changed from serve yourself to a very organized Screened off and served by the chefs. Drinks etc. still table service. The resort was of course much quieter than pre-Covid but as the week progressed more and more guests arrived and the place started to have that buzz of the past. Lots of space between beds around the pools and at the beach with drinks service continued. Auto hand sanitizers at the entrances exits to areas of the resorts and dispensers on tables in all venues. All in all we had a great relaxed holiday and we have booked for another visit in October 2020. Wanted to stress that the guys and girls at the hotel were absolutely great and ensured that we had everything we needed and were looked after. Special mention to Sid (guest relations) who was always around the resort making sure that things were going well. Isa at the bar and the team in the buffet restaurant did a great job. WOW we have just returned from this amazing hotel. We previously staying in 2019 and loved it so much we booked to return with our daughters & their families to have a big family holiday but the pandemic stopped us until this year. The hotel was so good in 2019 but during Covid they have refurbished nearly the entire hotel to an incredible standard. Our rooms were beautiful, I emailed prior to our visit to request rooms near to each other, and even though we had t make amendments to our booking changing rooms types they managed two rooms together and my daughter and grandchildren in a 2 bed family room very close. Our rooms were spotless and ery large , the family room had 2 bedrooms which is perfect for 2 adults & 2 children. My whole family have now fell in love with the Barut Hemera, my husband and i love the beach area with its new wooden sunbeds with the most comfortable mattresses on them, bar service on the beach was also excellent and quick. My daughter preferred the pool area as one is disable, the customer relations gave her 2 notices to pin to pool lounges to ensure she had spaces next to pool steps, bar etc. First couple of days beds were taken very early but pool manager removed towels placed before 07.30 and from them on it was very easy to accommodate all of us. The pool beds have also all been changed to the best pool beds ever. The food was excellent in the daytime and evenings, we mostly ate in the buffet all together (8of us) they rearranged tables easily for us. My husband and i tried the new Sushi restaurant and it really is good (20 Euros each) and fully recommend it. We had a late check out sharing one room until 6pm (8of us) which allowed us to relax on our last day.. My 3 year old granddaughter said many times during her stay that she wanted to stay forever and didn't want to go home, non of us did and wished we had booked to stay longer but leave we did. I have already booked for next year for just the two of us and cannot wait. Thank you Barut Hemera staff and management you gave us the most AMAZING family holiday ever. My one & only criticism is that you can only book a la carte restaurants upto 3 days in advance which with a large group meant we could only get together in one of these on one day even when we told them it was for a special occassion.

There's volley ball, darts archery, waterpolo, water aerobics, boccia, it's not pushed in your face but there if you want to do it. my 17 year old played volleyball twice a day, occasionaly boccia with us, and water polo everyday!
