Nestled on a stunning beachfront, Side Star Elegance is often lauded for its exceptional location and impressive array of amenities, from varied dining options to entertainment and beach facilities. While opinions on value vary, with some guests considering it pricey, the service is frequently commended for being attentive and professional.
The hotel's cleanliness is another highlight, with immaculate conditions being the norm. Though the atmosphere is vibrant and rooms are comfortable, a few travelers note the rooms could be refreshed and modernized.

We have just returned home after a week at the side star elegance. We were meant to be going to puerto pollensa but changed it to turkey last minute due to the covid 19 travel restrictions. We are so happy we did! We have 3 boys aged 6,8 and 13 and they spent all day on the water slides, playing ping pong by the pool and in the pool itself which was a lovely warm temperature.
The food was delicious and plenty of choice around the pool as well so we didn’t have to go to the main restaurant during the day. The staff were very helpful especially a gent named Dursun, he couldn’t do enough for us and always remembered what we liked to drink. There are fridges filled with water, coke, sprite and Fanta around the pool what you can help yourself to and also a freezer with ice lollies.
We stayed in a duplex room which was great for the 5 of us as it has two bathrooms and plenty of space. The grass on the patio could have done with a trim though. You get fresh towels for the pool put in your room everyday and there’s no need to take a beach bag as there is a complimentary one in your room when you get there.
On the last day we asked to have a shower room to get changed in which was very handy! But you only get 30mins, so make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get to the room.
The only downside of this hotel is that it is on a hill and there’s lots of stairs to get to the main pool and the beach. It’s a bit of a trek getting back to your room especially in the heat. I would say that it would be unsuitable for wheelchair users or anyone with mobility problems. There is also lots of cats around the hotel which are well looked after but unfortunately my son got bitten by one. He’s only 6 and stroked it before we could tell him not to. Don’t stay here if you have a phobia of them! Also the kids entertainment on an evening is right near the beach and it’s on really late. It’s outdoors but there isn’t a bar, it’s not like other hotels that I’ve stayed in where you can sit and have a drink. It’s more of a theatre set up. My kids weren’t interested so we just sat in the bar upstairs as there were live singers on which were great.
We had a great holiday and would go back.

First impressions of the hotel were great, we were greeted by courteous reception staff who upgraded us to a swim-up room. Maps and directions to your room (as rooms are spread over various blocks) were provided and the bellboy arrived at the room shortly after us with our luggage.
The room was spotless and having the pool at your door was a godsend in the 40°+ heat.
We found lunch at the pool or beach bar was better than breakfast or dinner in the buffet, which was mainly geared towards the Russian guests, and the staff were friendlier and more helpful there too.
The “Captain” will harass you to use the spa/hamam at extortionate prices, he pulled his face and walked off when we said we’d have a think about it.
On the last day we opted to pay to keep our room (40 euros until 6pm), this was much more convenient than booking a slot for a shower room.
There are a couple of good restaurants close to the hotel (particularly Umut Restaurant) and old town Side is well worth a visit (pay 2.50tl for the tram that takes you from the edge of the old town into the centre instead of walking when it’s hot!)
Overall we found travelling during covid-19 restrictions was worth it for the rest and relaxation, all the expected measures were in place if not abided by all guests.

My family 8 adults 6 children have just returned from this fantastic hotel from the moment we arrived we found the staff to be friendly and helpful .The family rooms were great with sea views 2 televisions great air con and fridge restocked daily .It is a huge resort with several pools so there is always plenty of sun beds and parasol the grandkids enjoyed playing on the water slides. The beach was a few metres walk and was beutiful the water was warm and clear and gently sloped so no big step down perfect .we found the food in all of the restaurants of good quality and plenty of choice .we ate out a couple of times at the buffalo steak house and another I can't recall the name of but were both excellent they made us feal very welcome and nothing was to much trouble and very reasonably priced . I would recommend this hotel it ticked every box I don't know why people say anything negative about hotel staff or food we found everything excellent and under the currant situation with the virus you felt very safe and protected staff wore masks gloves and hand sanitizer in restaurants everywhere was spotless .I would definatley return in the future

We originally booked to go to Greece in June but due to Covid this was cancelled with jet 2. We then were booked into a different hotel in Turkey in September which then closed so ended up here for no additional cost we hit gold.
The rooms are lovely we wanted a double room but got a twin we didn’t mind we just pushed the beds together and the maid put a king sheet over the two beds. The sea view and balcony were gorgeous. The maids clean the room every day and replenish towels and loo roll ect. If you don’t want them to come in there’s a very handy do not disturb switch which we accidentally switched on a few days and wondered why the maid hadn’t been. The fridge is stocked daily with water ice tea and fizzy drinks.
The hotel a la carts restaurants are lovely we enjoyed the fish and Chinese the most. I would highly recommend booking All four for your stay the morning or evening you arrive with customer relations as they get very busy and aren’t that big.
The main buffet restaurant was also lovely for breakfast lunch and tea and a great drinks service. We ate out a few nights in two of the local steak houses which were walkable from the hotel and they were great too! At the hotel there are two beach bars serving burgers salads pizzas fajitas chips ect and drinks. Ice creams and fizzy drinks water and sparking water are available all day in the fridges near the pool you just help yourself all branded Fanta sprite coke And Diet Coke. There is also a waffle and hot cookie maker 3.30-4.30 and a lady making Turkish pancakes at lunch.
The beach is right next to the hotel a stones through away the sea is lovely and warm and most days the temp hit nearly 40.
The entertainment was okay lots of circus acts in the theatre and there seemed to be a lot to do for children. We liked the DJ most who comes Monday and Wednesday nights and plays English music.
The alcohol was good beer was becks and effes local wine. The trick is to ask for the branded spirits they have absolute, smirn off, jack Daniels and bacardi behind the bar included in the all inclusive you have to ask for it or you just get the local spirits.
Reception were great and helped with anything you needed at any time. They offer a free shower room service on the last day as check out is 12.00pm we didn’t get our coach until 7pm it was great a full room and shower for an hour to get sorted and freshened up before our flight home.
The only thing I would say should be improved is the allergen information my partner has a nut allergy and did end up in hospital one night after accidentally eating nuts as the allergens aren’t clear on the buffet style food. It says allergen on a yellow ticket but that could be any one of the 12 so basically everything has a yellow sticker on which isn’t helpful.
Overall an amazing stay and would highly recommend!

We stayed 4 nights all inclusive, winter concept, as a family, to break up a 5 week trip, with a bit of relaxation. Family rooms were small, too small for 2 adults and 2 teens, but would probably be OK for family with younger children. But if your children were younger the incredibly slippery floor in the bathrooms would be a danger and so it probably isn’t suitable for that family construction either. Poor sound proofing between rooms, we could hear the TV next door quite clearly, and were kept awake.
Before booking I read the reviews saying this hotel was very German focused, which I have no problem with because we are travelling and generally do not speak the language of the countries we visit. But, basically the staff seemed to ignore any non German speaking guests, and I am not sure service was great for anyone. There were lots of opportunities to provide 5 star service, but sadly all were missed. We asked about dolmus and were waved to “the corner”, there was no corner! (It leaves on the street outside). Every day we drank the 2 bottles of water in the minibar (there were 4 of us staying) but every day only 2 bottles were left when it was refilled. There was little table service for drinks. The guys in the games room were offhand and again only interested in chatting among themselves. There were 5 or so outdoor pools, all unheated and we never saw anyone using them. Indoor pool was cold, too cold except for a brief dip, and we will swim in relatively cold temperatures. Temp was supposedly 31 degrees but it was much colder. Pool closed at 5.30, steam room about the same time. Unless you wanted to go to organised piano recitals etc, there wasn’t much to do in the evenings.
Pool closed at 5.30, steam room about the same time. Food on Turkish night was excellent but many of the other nights were a bit meh. Plenty of variety, and you won’t starve but you may eat a lot of grilled meat and salad. Tried the morning after our evening arrival and couldn’t get a reservation at any of the a la carte restaurants during our stay. I think you might fare better if you go to meals at the beginning of the session rather than later, as sometimes they run out of popular dishes
On arrival reception staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, chatting among themselves, and ignoring us, we were provided with an information booklet about which bars and food venues were open, but it wasn’t accurate and we often found there was no suitable food available at times we were hungry.
This isn’t really a 5 star resort, ( I would consider it a 3.5) and we would much prefer to stay in Dubai, where the staff in 5 star resorts are focussed on guests having a great time. Wished we hadn’t wasted 4 days of our holidays here.

We were told by Jet2 about a week before travelling that we would be staying here, an upgrade from Side Star Resort as it was closed. On arrival everything was dealt with quickly and staff were very helpful. We were shown to our room and told where to get something to eat as we arrived at about midnight which I thought was a nice touch. There is five pools but only seen 4 of them and mainly used the main pool on level 0 as that was where things were going on albeit limited but there was music and the restaurants were close at hand. The two young lads tried their best to get people involved and followed the Covid rules and tried to make everyone happy so well done to you both. The restaurant food was nice but mainly geared up for Europeans and not so much for British but always found something to eat although think they could do a bigger children's section as most nights it was chips or spaghetti if they didn't like anything else. However the staff in the restaurant were great and especially thank you to Ramazan who looked after us whenever he seen us. The same goes to the main barman in the Duden bar who was there most nights. It was my birthday whilst out there and he gave us a glass of champagne and a cocktail and looked after us. The evening entertainment could have been better but some of the singers were very good in the Duden Bar but didn't like the set up of the amphitheatre so didn't go there much. Obviously it was very diffucult with Covid but they done the best they could. All in all everything was spotless and we heard the sunbeds being sanitised every night about 11.45 as we were situated right outside the pool by the Time Out bar. All staff wore masks and the gloves and cutlery were provided to you for hygiene so couldn't fault them. I felt safer in Turkey than I would have been in the UK. Well done to all the staff for a lovely holiday.

I will be fair with my review given the current circumstances of COVID. Upon our arrival, check in was relatively good, however no map was given which made it difficult to find our room and our way to the restaurant. However, after a couple of days we were farmiliar with the hotel. We had notified the hotel that a cot was needed, only to find there wasn't one ready when we got to our room. We were not entirely happy with the location of our room, so we were able to swap to a better room which was great and made our experience at this hotel a lot better.
The hotel is beautiful, maintained well and kept very clean. Plenty of options of areas to choose from during the day, with adult pools/areas, main pool, beach and children's pools which was well shaded.
The food and drink available was good. Drinks were made to a decent standard, however if the waiter did not understand your request, you would have to put up with whatever you were given (but I'll come back to the staff). Plenty of options for snacks during the day, freshly made snacks which were very tasty. Some options at dinner were questionable, where a lot of the options were liver, beef tongue etc so it was a little difficult. However you could always find something you was happy to eat. I felt that the sign posting wasn't great, as we only found out on the last night that there had been an open grill cooking fresh meat, located outdoors on the last night, which was only found by chance.
My biggest issue was with some of the staff. We felt ignored a lot of the time and had to flag down to be able to order a drink. We always asked for a high chair and never got one, so in the end we had to hunt one down ourselves. Some staff were so unhelpful and would never help you if it seemed like too much work. Some waiters were very rude as well and just waived you away if they couldn't be bothered to try and understand you. We were unsure about how to change beach towels, so we asked staff at the spa who sent us to the pool. The towel place by the pool was closed and the lifeguard sent me back to the spa. The staff at the spa then decided to tell me that the housekeepers change towels from the rooms after having sent me to the pool a little earlier before. After finding a housekeeper, she told me she didnt have any and I would have to wait. Some things just seemed very unorganised and poorly managed.
Having said this, not all were like this, some staff were very lovely and went out of their way to help you, like the gentleman that maintains the beach. And the ladies that worked at the bars. They also all wore face masks all day which must be extremely uncomfortable in such heat.
Overall, the holiday was good, the biggest let down was the staff and their treatment of some groups of people in comparison to others. I wouldn't personally return to this hotel.

This qualifies as my shortest holiday ever, arrive Saturday brought Home by Jet Two on Wednesday afternoon(Thanks). This is a very nice Hotel with lovely friendly people as staff who cannot do too much to help you. Once settled in I felt at home and comfortable although the dining room was a little manic due to a convention of mainly male hairdressers in the Hotel who "loved" their food. The room was adequate, beds comfortable, and the terrace was great with views over the Med and Side Town. The layout of the Hotel took a little getting used to but was well worth it. We mainly sat and drank in the Duden Bar or on its Balcony, and found the other German and English guests very friendly and helpful. The Bar was tended in the afternoon by a lady who could not be more helpful and in the Evening her male counterpart was one of the main assets of the Hotel, was his name Ercan? He never forgot a customers drink, he was friendly and knowledgeable, an asset to any establishment and one to be looked after. The Covid19 was well catered to and their were hand wash dispensers located conveniently and were well used. Unfortunately just as we had relaxed into a comfortable routine we had to come home and sadly left on Wednesday afternoon. I think I could have enjoyed a good holiday here in better times.

Just arrived back to London today from Side Star Elegance.
Just myself and my son travelled to celebrate his 13th Birthday, overall we had a amazing time and very much enjoyed the quality time together and felt very safe. The staff are amazing especially guest relations, the manager organised a lovely birthday meal for us at Alma restaurant with a free transfer and it has amazing food! They also had a birthday cake brought to the room on his birthday Thank you for this kind gesture!
We stayed in room 2355 with sea view, room was lovely and modern , cleaned daily and towels replenished and mini bar was refilled everyday with soft drinks and beer although I don’t drink beer.
The main restaurant has a wide variety of food, and if you have a sweet tooth the deserts platter has plenty to choose from, salad bar is lovely with everything you could need food was different everyday.
We forgot to book the Al a carte restaurants so most nights we dined in the main restaurant but also went out of the hotel to the main strip which is outside and dined at a few restaurants there which had lovely food also. The hotel is in a great location so if you want to go for a walk of a evening there’s loads outside the hotel.
I had a Turkish bath int he spa with a 30 minute massage for 70 euros which left my skin amazing after and was very relaxing.
My son throughly enjoyed the on site arcade complex with loads of games and bowling.
The only few bad/ annoying points is… if you want a lounger by the pool be prepared to get there before 8am! Any later and you’ll find guests have plonked there towels on the beds then disappear to go for breakfast and come back hours later and you’ll stand no chance of getting a bed which is frustrating.
When by the pool you’ll be approached by people selling experiences or services, spa, tattoos, photos which gets abit annoying when you’ve declined multiple days in a row, I wouldn’t say they are super persistent but they will try and approach you multiple times.
You do sometimes wait a while for staff to serve you and drinks but I tend to be patient as they are catering to a lot of people and doing a fine job also.
Overall I would defiantly visit again and I don’t have a bad experience or thing to complain about, Thankyou to side star elegance and all the staff for a great holiday!

We stayed here for 2 weeks in September 20/20
We arrived late at night - once we had checked in & took our cases to the room we were told you get something to eat & drink at the Timeout bar which was much needed after a long day travelling & it’s served up until 7am.
There are so many levels to this hotel & so many swimming pools & sunbathing areas & the beach across a path , you get a beach bag , clean beach towels in your room every day.
So much choice of good food at any time of the day/night.
Mini bar in the room was topped up everyday with fizzy juice, beer, water.
Plenty of bars around the hotel & quiet or lively places to sit & chill.
All staff was wearing masks at all times & the security guard at the gate was randomly taken your temperature when returning at night , hand sanitizer everywhere, always cleaning.
When returning to Side we will be looking to book this hotel again can’t fault it in anyway & would highly recommend this hotel.

No, but has a nice promenade that goes into side town and harbour. Also top of town there are ruins to see.
