We arrived home after an amazing week stay at the Otium Eco Family Hotel just last night and are suffering with serious post holiday blues. Everything about the hotel was wonderful and we really enjoyed our stay as a group of 2 families with young children (6mths, 2, 3 and 6). Upon arrival, check in was very quick and smooth with our luggage disinfected quickly and taken to our room. Our Rooms were spacious and cleaned daily with the mini fridge stocked up generously. Air con worked perfectly which was greatly appreciated after a day in the very hot sun! Food was your typical buffet affair but good quality with plenty of variety and we all enjoyed our meals each day. Even the children had plenty to choose from although the children's kitchen bit was closed presumably owing to Covid19. The poolside snack bar was also closed but this wasn't really an issue, none of us went hungry and the pancakes by the pool were a delicious stopgap between meals, the lady in there is very quick and talented! All of the staff we came across at the hotel were wonderful, attentive and friendly! The all inclusive cocktail menu is one of the best I have had at an AI hotel with a decent variety including frozen strawberry daiquiris, the gin was very nice and the branded tonics added to the overall quality feel. Bar staff very friendly. Have to give a huge thumbs up to the animation team in particular Eray and Bekir for their entertainment and company. I've been to hotels where the entertainment is a bit pushy but it wasn't here, it was the right level of activity and encouragement to get involved. It must be tricky to think of games for groups of people to play whilst maintaining social distancing but the entertainment team managed it well with a good variety of pool games and exercise classes daily. Evening entertainment was also very good! The hotel is a bit of a drive from the airport but would recommend a private transfer as it cuts the journey time in half. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and there is an AI beach restaurant and bar. Watersports on the beach seem a bit pricey but the guys selling it are open to negotiation. Waterpark 2 mins walk away is very cheap for a fun day out and at the moment was incredibly quiet so no queues!
Overall, we wanted a relaxing holiday away from the COVID19 mania and that is exactly what we got. All staff did their best in very hot conditions to ensure guests maintained social distancing etc and there was a lot of regular disinfection/cleaning of communal areas with hand sanitiser available everywhere. We felt very safe.

I stayed at this hotel with a friend for a week in September on an All Inclusive basis during a brief lapse in the overseas travel ban/quarantine restrictions.
After a long day travelling in a face mask we received a lovely warm welcome from the reception staff and immediately felt comfortable. The staff were all wearing masks at all times and the hotel was kept very clean and hygienic.
I was in room 1202 in the main block (above reception) which was a lovely spacious room with views across the complex. Beach towels are included so you don't need to bother bringing your own.
The hotel wasn’t anywhere close to capacity which made the whole experience very relaxing and tranquil. We were often the only people at the adult pool during day and there was never any problem getting a drink from either bar from the friendly bar staff (Musa is a legend!)
The only issue I encountered was finding vegetarian-friendly meals at dinner in the hotel restaurant. There are plenty of vegetarian choices for breakfast and lunch however I found it really difficult to find something suitable at dinner time. It would be helpful if there was some kind of icon or colour-coding on the food labels to make it easy to identify the options without meat/fish and maybe group them all together.
We went into Side for a change of scenery a couple of times which is well worth a visit. Taxis drop you off about 15 minutes walk from the main commercial centre/harbor. It is a lovely scenic and interesting walk however wear your most comfortable shoes as it is quite steep and uneven in places and really tricky to navigate safely in heels or flip-flops.
I feel this hotel might be a bit hectic with families for me in high season in a normal year but I had a really enjoyable time here and would happily recommend to families looking for a fun break in the sun.

We, a family of 3, two adults and a 7 year old girl visited between August 29th and September 5th this year. From the moment we got off the transfer bus to the moment we left was outstanding. We arrived at 20:50 and before we checked in we were given our all inclusive wristbands and told that there was food still available until 21:00 so if we were quick we could catch it and then return to check in, great first impression from the staff. We returned and our cases had been washed/disinfected by the porter to reduce the risk of disease being brought into the hotel. We were then shown to our room which had a pool view, balcony, a huge double bed and a sofa bed for the little one. We also had a tv, a nice sized bathroom and a mini bar which was FREE to use. We spent most of our days in and around the pool area, sunbathing, playing on the water slides and enjoying a huge range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, ice creams and other snacks. The pool area was continuously kept clean by staff, social distancing measures were in place around the pool (see pic), the guys sorting and running the poolside activities were funny, friendly and not pushy if you didn’t want to join in. The lifeguards checked the slides every morning before allowing anyone on. The only reason I’ve scored down a point on this is because there was no lifeguard on duty in the indoor pool (Children very rarely used the pool but I’d have like to have seen it manned still). Breakfast and lunch was lovely, a huge huge range of dishes available to suit. Tables were instantly cleared and cleaned once guests had finished eating. We like to go out for the evening so didn’t get to see what dinner was like but if it was anything like Breakfast or Lunch then it’s top notch. Special mention to Oğuzhan Köse, he is such a professional in what he does, so very polite, and for a Turkish National he speaks the best English I’ve ever heard from a foreign speaker. He was fantastic at the poolside bar, was very friendly towards the 7 year old and made an extra effort to make sure she was comfortable. We had several long conversations during our stay, a real credit to your company and deserves every success. Cleaners were fantastic and did a great job in our room (1203). Hand sanitiser was on every corner and staff all wore masks throughout our stay. Icing on the cake for us was on the last evening. We returned to our room and had received a bottle of wine and a fruit platter, neither of us drinks wine but it was a thoroughly nice touch nonetheless. We will definitely return to this Hotel. We stayed here in September 2020 in the mist of the pandemic, the hotel was lovely, we had a very warm welcome. the staff were lovely. We spent most of our time around the adult pool and met some fantasic people who we are still in contact with. The food was quite good something for everyone, and the restaurant was very clean. The staff all wore mask all the time, they were constantly cleaning and observing good social distancing. The rooms were cleaned daily and there was fresh bottled water, tea, coffee, milk and juice provided in the rooms. The only downfall for me was, the hotel room was carpeted which was dated. The entertainment was pretty good and the bar staff were very good and helpful. Overall a brilliant time was had and would definitely go back

We first visited the hotel in April of 2019 so booked again for September of 2020. When we arrived we were greeted by warm and friendly staff on reception. check in with no issues at all. The restaurant yes although a little different this year, where you were unable to serve yourself, you were served by the staff, there was still plenty of options and plenty to eat. The bar staff were worked hard and the bar was always kept spotless were always friendly and welcoming when they were bringing the mornings coffee or the afternoons cocktails, to you. The cleaners were also fabulous, working hard to make sure the pool and surrounding areas were spotless. The entertainment team were great, Eray and Cuma amazing can not fault either of these Our only issue was with the on site shop, after buying the same brand of cigarettes 3 times we were charged 3 different prices each time so please check your prices and your change. All in all we had a fantastic trip and can not wait to get back to the families favourite place in Turkey.

last minute booking after lockdown saw us fly to turkey and arrive at Otium family eco side resort. Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff in the lobby, who took our luggage and checked us in, no masks required and there’s an automatic thermal camera as you enter that checks your temperature. We hopped on a golf buggy with the lobby guy and he drove us round to our apartment with our luggage. The apartment was spacious, clean and was on the ground, Complete with a full mini bar fridge with soft drinks and water, it was cleaned everyday And anything we had used was replenished like tea bags, milk etc. We arrived at dinner time so we went straight into the food hall for our dinner and the food was amazing, the food was amazing and varied everyday that we were there, unfortunately with COVID the buffet isn’t help yourself at the moment and each section of food is manned by staff and they give you what you ask for food wise, the food was always fresh and tasty. The pools are great, was very quiet during our holiday as expected, and sometimes we were the only ones actually in the pool, we all enjoyed the pool slides, the kids thought it was great having them on the complex. the entertainment team definitely need a mention here because they worked non stop, Eray and Cuma Ali in particular were lovely and had a wide variety of daytime activities to keep everyone entertained. The kids club is just fab, we have a 5yo, 6yo and an 11yo and all 3 enjoyed the kids club, more so the 2 younger ones, they could come and go as they pleased, we didn’t have to supervise them as such but I did regularly walk round to the play area /kids club to check they were happy and they always were, the kids club team really pushed the boat out when it came to keeping the little ones happy and entertained and it was all under shade as well which I preferred as it was hitting 37 degrees most days. The beach is a 5 min walk or you can get the shuttle buses that the hotel provide, we walked. The beach had its own Otium section, so you could get your all inclusive drinks and snacks down at the beach. Side old town is also an amazing place to visit which is a short taxi ride, but definitely a must see and we ate out there 3 times, wonderful locals and amazing food and shops. There’s a water park just round the corner from the hotel, literally a 2 minute walk, we all had a blast, and catered for younger children to. COVID didn’t really seem a thing there, which was nice as we wanted to try and avoid COVID feel. Only time we were ever asked to wear masks was in taxis, other than that we didn’t have to wear one, as expected there were hand sanitizer stations dotted all over the place so that was great. We would definitely recommend this hotel, and we will certainly be going back! 5* from us.

We travelled as a Family of 5 on a last minute escape from the current climate. From start to finish everything was amazing. The covid measures had been taken very seriously and completely put you at ease. Cleanliness by every area was taken very seriously so no need to worry. We had a 2 bedroomed villa but actually was a double room and then 2 children on sofa beds in one room and the other on one sofa bed in another, bathroom and seating area outside . So plenty of space for all. The housekeeping team were superb with daily service and special touches each day. In current times some of the food and beverage outlets weren’t open but obviously this would not have been cost effective for them, but still the main restaurant buffet and beach bar catered for all our diverse preferences. The bar staff were attentive and after only one day remembered the drinks and made it so much more personal. Reception were helpful with our requests and nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment team were the nicest friendliest people taking time to chat to their guests and remember names and make us feel special . The lifeguards and health centre staff were ever present. Overall if you want to be able to relax, be looked after and enjoy precious family time .. this is the place for you! Thank you to an amazing team. We hope to be back!

What can I say this was one of the best holidays I have been on and considering I have been to many places around the world and with Covid Restrictions that is all down to this hotel. We arrived at 12:30Am and was greated with a free of charge room upgrade which was great all 3 of us was hungry and they still had late supper on the go for us which was great. The room was amazing 2 showers bathrooms and 3 balconys we was really lucky with the upgrade here. The food was great plenty of choices and all staff in there was amazing couldn't help enough as they have to get the food for you so alot of work for them with the changes. The drinks were a amazing lots to choose from cocktails etc and of course all the bar staff was amazing. Receptionist staff was great always went that extra mile especially the women (sorry forgot your name) with the glasses who helped sort a washing machine out for us. The best thing about this hotel is the Entertainment team and the 3 lads who do all the games during the day around the pool you 3 are a credit to the Hotel and the country of Turkey and that you are friendly and funny guys. Also to Hussain I believe who sells the massages and also has a good chat and laugh round the pool you are a great bloke and you got me on day 2 I think it was to get the Mrs a massage and it really is money well spent that gentleman says the truth so buy his massages. Please could the hotel pass on my Facebook info to all the 3 guys in entertainment and also Hussain to keep in touch I will be back next year for sure. It was my first vacation in Turkey, and I was pleasantly surprised. The staff is amazing and really cares about the people who choose this hotel. They were always very polite, friendly, ready to answer any questions any time with excitement, and also asked if anything could be done to make us feel more comfortable. I'd also like to point out how impeccably clean the place is and the fact that the personnel wears masks at all times and measures their own and our's temperature. The territory of the hotel is constantly looked after, with beautiful flowers and neat furniture.
I believe families with small kids would love it here, since there are many activities for them. For us, two young people, it was also lovely thanks to the entertainment team (Cuma Ali, Bekir, what's up :)) who made our stay lively and offered us to try new sports. They were very professional with strong work ethic and also fun to be around, enthusiastic but not too pushy.
As for the room, it was quite spacious, stylish, and cleaned regularly. In the restaurant the food was fresh and there were options to choose from. The baklava is to die for, and the bartenders make delicious cocktails. I also enjoyed Turkish baths in the spa area, which you could book beforehand and be the only person/family there to keep social distance. In regard to paid spa procedures, I would highly recommend asking the administrator all of your questions in particular before buying to avoid the difference between your expectations and reality.
Overall, it was a great experience with the perfect combination of activities and rest. I am very thankful for the staff who made us feel so safe during the pandemic and would 10/10 recommend to visit Otium Family Eco Club!

My partner. and myself stayed in the optimum family eco club for 10 days in September. This is our ninth holiday to Turkey and we always go to a different hotel each time. I must say this is the best hotel we have been to in terms of staff they were fantastic could not be faulted. The entertainment team were brilliant and worked tirelessly through the day in over 30 degree heat always smiling Cuba made it all look so easy. Food was very tasty and plenty of it we always went to meals later than most people however always plenty to go around. Our room was in the main hotel very spacious lots of wardrobe space, cleaned every day to a high standard. When we were not out and about we stayed round the main pool and were looked after well by the pool waiters again who worked tirelessly and were so cheerful and polite. Went along to the beach a few times which was again very nice with a beach bar where you can get lunch and ice cream for the kids, they also have a park there for the kids. I need to mention the reception staff as they again were brilliant making sure that we enjoyed our stay and nothing was to much trouble. The hotel had Covid measures in place and all staff wore masks all day which must have been awful in the heat. Cleanliness was very good all round this hotel. I even had my hair cut and styled by the on site hairdresser for €18 well worth the money. We cannot wait to go back maybe with our children and grandchildren. Well done Otium staff you are amazing

I would say yes, but i found the labelling of food to be difficult to understand whether it was truly vegetarian (daughter) or not. There is ample food choices available and always plenty of fresh fruit, vegetable dishes, rice dishes, pasta's etc. Turkiye don't really have much in the way of meat replacement dishes ie plant based burgers or sausages.
