Detailed Reviews
It was truly magnificent. As soon as we entered the hotel, we were greeted with great interest. Ms. Dilek, Mr. Tahir and Mr. Huseyin at the front office were very interested, and Ms. Fatma, the General Manager, took care of us in a very sincere manner. We felt very privileged. The hotel was incredibly clean, tidy, everything was as it should be. The food was amazing, very high quality, so are the alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
The minibar was full. There is always something to eat every hour of the day.
Entertainment team, Jessica(Şefika), Tugi were super entertained.
Chief İzzet, Erkan chef's food was great, service personnel Atakan and Hakan were very fast.
The location of the hotel is also super, it is both central and very calm, you reach the beach in two steps. It has a private beach, there is food and beverage service to the beach at certain times.
In short, everything was perfect. See you soon. Wait for us Sun Club Side

We flew on vacation to Turkey on September 18, 2021. The place of our location was chosen
the city of Side. We stayed at the Sun Club Side hotel, which will actually be discussed. I try to objectively assess, but be that as it may, this is my subjective opinion and observation about our vacation. Maybe this information will be useful to someone.
And so, I really liked the hotel! Its location to the sea, to the sights of the city, which were within walking distance, could not but rejoice. Rooms are spacious, cleaned every day pretty good for resort hotels. The food is excellent, the variety of dishes was a pleasant surprise! These are meat and fish dishes (there was fish every day), chicken, turkey. I won't even write about vegetable dishes, since they were different and the range was simply amazing !! Fruits have always been, and what gorgeous desserts !! Many thanks to the chef and his team for this gastronomic feast that lasted all the days of our stay. The service of the restaurant was not always excellent, but overall 4 out of 5.
And lastly, about the sad ... how we were greeted on the first day at the reception.
The young man who stood behind the reception desk (I suppose it was the manager of the front office.) So, I have never seen such a "meeting", such a revolting, not friendly attitude !! To our request for a room on the second floor, he categorically replied that there were no vacant rooms (although after us a couple was placed on the second floor). The next day we came up again with our request, but the answer was the same in the form of an ultimatum. Therefore, I highly recommend the hotel management to pay attention to the work of the front office staff, as the first impression depends on this !!
And nevertheless, if we omit this unpleasant moment, the hotel is good and I will definitely recommend it to my friends to visit.

Sun Club Hotel is a small family concept hotel in Side.
The location is perfect 500 meters to seaside and teh hotel is in the center of bazaars.
The only disadvantage, the hotel is not at the seaside. You hav to walk 500-600 meters to the Hotel's rental seaside area. But no problem with having a sunbed. There is enough capacity.
The pool is not so big but not crowded.
The advantages of this hotel:
Nice breakfast, Delicious food and rich variety of meats, chicken, turkey and also fish
High level hygiene understanding makes people feel safe and the cleaning of rooms are really god.
Animation stuff are weak but dance groups and Turkish night activities makes people happy. But dont raise your expectations for animation.
When I compare price and benefit: Maybe you can find another 5* stars hotel with same price. However I know some foods are not so delicious in some hotels/clubs.
I am happy with all foods and cleaning and smiling people in Sun Club.

We stayed at this hotel in August and were not really satisfied. We booked the hotel with flight and transfer through a travel agency. It was especially important to us that the hotel was close to the beach and that it had its own loungers and parasols (on the beach). So we were completely disappointed. The description talks about the hotel having its own beach. But that is not true. To get to the beach, you have to leave the hotel and walk about 350 m. But the beach area is not just for this hotel. Guests from other hotels can also come there. It gets worse. The loungers and parasols are totally outdated, as if it were 1960. That was a total disaster for us. We were basically forced to stay in the hotel pool, where the loungers and parasols matched the pictures in the description.
Unfortunately, that was not the only problem. We booked this hotel as a 4-star hotel. But that is not the case. The room we were in was actually fine. Unfortunately, we did not have a nice view from the room.
We had the all-inclusive option, but we weren't really impressed with the food either. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't very tasty either. It was okay.
What is also wrong in the description is that the beach towels are included. However, you have to pay a deposit to get them. Unfortunately, many guests had to wait for towels because there weren't always any available. I didn't feel like doing that and just bought my own.
The hotel offers entertainment and activities. That was actually well done. There are also enough restaurants and shops nearby. At this point, however, I would like to mention that the prices (restaurants, shops) aren't that different compared to Germany.
I personally wouldn't go back to this hotel. I'd rather pay a little more but have a better beach, food and atmosphere. If you don't value these things and prefer to travel cheaply but not necessarily for quality, you won't have any problems.

Nice famely hotel with a wonderfull garden. Staf is very frendly, rooms are kept clean, food is okay could have some more variation. Animation is done by 3 people who do their best. Sometimes there is profissional animation. First time we had a hotel where the WiFi was working as it should. 2 minor comments, there is very little service at the beach and in the pool the sunbeds are very close together.

Simply disaster, serve chicken every day, even chicken wings, have never seen in any other hotel. Jar been in Turkey many times but that hotel has been the worst so far. Only thing that was good, is the staff, very nice. Beach was far from the hotel .
Would never recommend to anyone to choose that hotel.

A nice little hotel. Good staff and good location with nice small shops out front. The food is excellent with fine variety. Rooms are fine with good daily cleaning. The night may be disturbed by noise from animals (Dog and Dog) and A/C.

Worst hotel I've ever spent my holidays in.
Very baaaaad food. Old and broken rooms.
Only the staff is an exception. They are generally friendly.
All in all I can't recommend to stay one minute there.

Sun Club Side is newly refurbished and is very nice in that aspect. The rooms are nice and in a reasonable size. The bed might be hard for someone, but I think it was vey good. The staff takes good care about the "public" sorrundings in the Hotel, i.e. the pool area and garden and common spaces. Nice and tidy in all.
The food is very good and tasty, but after a while we got a bit tired of the "likeness" in taste, so we choose other restaurants a couple of times. The food is based on the turkish kitchen, so if you're raised with bacon, beans and fish and chips, you might have other opinions about the food.
The Hotel lies approx. 200m up from the beach along a busy market street. The hotel has a private beach together with Hotel "Altinkum" 3-400m to the left when you get to the Beach. A nice beach without "hasseling". Just above the beach is a nice restaurant with friendly staff, "Alladin". Try it! There is no all inclusive service at the beach. A beer costs 3 Euro and a drink 4-7 Euros.
There is quite a lot of negative things about the hotel, which makes me not going back.
The beverages of all sorts is really foul tasting, maybe exept for the beer and "Raki". Everything without alcohol seems to be based on artificial ingridienses including sweeteners like Aspartam. I like red wine, but I think I only drank one glass on the whole trip. The white wine was almost drinkable with a lot of ice in it. Since the cheapest bottle of wine in the market cost around 10 Euros, that isn't an option either, so bring a couple of bag in boxes from home.
The sunbeds where not enough for all guests, and it's a tight area around the pool, so it's hard to move them to the sun or shadow. There is plenty of room on the grass, but you're not allowed to lie there. Stupid rule I think. There is a roof with extra sunbeds, but it's far from both the pool and bar, so we didn't like that option.
The animation team was really poor, and all music seemed based on german taste. The shows and "live"-music was a real joke. I choose not to describe how bad it was.
The cleaning of our room was "so-so". I think the staff should spend more time sweeping the floor than arranging strange things with towels and flowers.
The "aircondition" was just a big wall-based fan. It was windy, but it didn't get cooler.
All in all, a decent hotel, but with too much downs for me to return. The worst thing is not beeing able to get a decent drink.

We had a great time at Sun Club Side. In late March the place was not crowded. The staff were friendly and hospitable. The rooms were nice and clean and faced the pool, which was just outside our door. The beach is only a 5-minute walk, and the ancient town of Side can be reached in 10-15 minutes by foot. It is a nice walk along the beach.
We wanted a nice and quiet hotel without loud music, drunken tourists and embarrassing "entertainment" every night. We were not disappointed.
The restaurant:
Breakfast: Cereals, fruit, vegetables, bread and the cook prepares omelet or fried eggs for you. Pay an extra € and you get a glass of fresh orange juice. Lunch and supper: There is a large variety of food, 2-3 warm meat dishes (mostly chicken, turkey and fish), rice, vegetables and chips. It is true that this is not the "English cuisine", but then again: Turkey has one of the greatest cuisines in the world, so who can possibly be longing for baked beans and white toast? Also: Do not go to a Muslim country to eat bacon. There are also many vegetable dishes, and the dessert table leaves absolutely nothing to wish for. The wine (red and white) is okay, though not top notch. All in all the food was excellent value for money.
The bar:
It serves quality draught beer (Danish brand Tuborg, and it is served in glasses, not plastic cups). Besides you can have gin and tonic, rum and coke, vodka and juice - the basics, that is. Coffe/cappucino/hot chocolate is also available all day. At 4 o clock cakes and cookies are served. The waiters in both restaurant and bar are very helpful and efficient.
We were a family of four (two teenagers), we had a great stay at Sun Club Side and would gladly return.
Incidentally: We saw no British tourists at all. Maybe they had been scared away by the angry English reviews - or maybe they were enjoying the "English cuisine" at the bar just around the corner. Still: If you do need your bacon and burgers and then want to drink till you drop, this is not the place for you. We loved it though!
