Detailed Reviews
Very nice and quiet hotel.
The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
The rooms usually only get cleaned or made up on request - no fresh daily towels etc but that is not a deal breaker.
The food is fresh and very healthy and delicious.
Don't expect any entertainment as there's none.
The TV only has Turkish channels except one English news channel.
The bed are comfortable and clean.
The garden looks a bit neglected and the bushes and shrubs could do with a trim.
There's no safe in the room but a lockable safety box at the reception (€3.00 per day).
The balcony door can not be locked but I was assured nothing has ever disappeared.
I can overall only give it a thumbs up especially for the hospitality of the staff.

Spent 2 weeks in may 2016. Had a brilliant time, staff and lady owner very friendly and helpful. Food absolutely superb. Free bus to beach with free sunbed and umbrella, what more can anyone ask for? Some of the old reviews should be removed as the current management staff have only been there for 5 years.

Myself and 2 teenage daughters are staying here, I was nervous after reading the last review but, it is so friendly. All the staff are polite, the food is great and really fresh, the bus and the loungers on the beach are free. I would stay here again definitely.

I booked and paid on line for this hotel to stay tonight, 17th June 2014. On arrival the owner (Ramzi Tuna) flatly refused to honour the booking unless I paid double the amount in cash direct to him. Despite him having the booking confirmation from Travel Republic and the hotel being empty, he still refused to allow me to stay. Even Mehmet, the manager said the owner was crazy. I have no idea if I will receive a full refund as have no way of contacting Travel Republic. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

First of all, it's important to note that the majority of the reviews for the Ozgurhan hotel are from a year ago; since then the hotel has changed in ownership and as such, the information given dated 2011 is very inaccurate.
All inclusive - Its a joke, we are not fussy eaters, we are happy backpacking and living off whatever food is going. Food is served three times a day for approximately an hour (7-9am, 1-2pm, 7-8pm). The food consists of plain pasta, plain couscous and rice, accompanied by some form of reheated chicken (it was gray by day 3) in some form of varying sauce. If you have young children or are yourself a fussy eater, this can become a serious issue for any length of stay. We had beetles on the bread, ants through the food (where serving) and once, a cat, up on the counter happily lapping away at the main meal of the night. On more than one occasion we both found various hairs in the meal, but eventually just kind of expected it and had to get on with the meal.
Drinks finish at 10pm and not a minute afterwards. We went to the bar at 9:55pm straight after another couple had been served, only to be told that all drinks where finished and that by his watch it was 10pm. We asked to see the manager as the drinks had been unavailable for 30mins during the day and therefore having one drink should be okay. We were called beggars by the hotel owner, who eventually gave us our drink. The vodka (if available), was either that poor a quality it physically burned your throat and stomach, or was so watered down, it was basically water. Also, alcoholic drinks available during the all inclusive are beer, vodka and that about covers it, everything else comes under the immortal Turkish phrase "It's extra".
Entertainment - If your holiday rep or booking company tell you that entertainment is provided (which ours sweared there was), either hang up or tell them to try again. There is no entertainment, in our hotel or in any other in a 10 mile radius. There are one or two bars that have karaoke, but considering most people go to all inclusive hotels to not spend money, this again becomes a bit of a problem.
Local Area - Well, it is sunny, there are some Roman ruins and the sea is absolutely beautiful. I'm a history teacher, so the ruins where an initial pull for me. However, with the weather as it is, its too hot to spend any real time looking around; and for what is on offer once you have navigated through the streets being asked to go into every restaurant and shop by the staff who work there. You can probably see and do everything Side has to offer in about 3 days tops. The market is good, but its not particularly cheap. Also, it seems that Side is more of a German holiday resort. So if you don't have a bit of pigeon German language down, life can become a bit more stressful.
Final review - We decided that Ozgurhan must be Turkish for 'Fat Camp', we ate nothing that wasn't bland and tasteless. Despite all of this, we where prepared to just say that we had gotten a raw deal and were determined to make the most of the holiday. We came to a breaking point when we where left with nothing to do, a bar staff that were happy to smoke over you at the bar, drink all the alcohol themselves, and in general make any time spent in the seated area/bar/'restaurant', generally unpleasant, and as there was nothing else to do in Side, we spent a lot of time there.
Please please please don't just pass off what i've said as a 'one off', there is no hope for this Hotel and you'll be saving yourself time and money by going somewhere else.

Family Run hotel where the staff made us feel very welcome and were helpful and obliging. Food was lovely and the staff advised what was suitable for vegetarians. Room was cleaned to a high standard.
Nice Bar area and Swimming Pool
Hotel is sited in a quiet part of Side but pubs restaurants 5-10 minute walk
Would return to this hotel again in future
Really enjoyed my stay
