The hotel is very customer friendly, good food and services. Accomodation is very good. We visited this place as a family and we had a very good time using both the large pool and the sand beach. Restaurant and the bars are offering bood quality services and drinks.

We spent 7 days here and we all had a really fantastic time. Food was delicious, workers were friendly. The animation team provided very interesting entertainment for the children and they were all very friendly. We became friends with Toka, whom we loved very much.

Really peaceful place. I liked the food and the service. I fully understand the price during the summer and I am looking forward to visit the spa again during this winter. Tunisia is a beautiful country.

I want to say that everything was good. Food was delicious, workers were friendly and if you needed anything they would help you. Gardens were well groomed, rooms were clean and cool. I want to say thank you to entertainment team for making our days interesting and special. The night foam party was the best, everyone was dancing and having fun at the pool at night. Special thanks to Toka and Sam for being friendly, helping us with everything and, of course making our stay special and entertaining.

Just spent 11 days here and have to say that we all had a fantastic time. Plenty of entertainment for kids and adults alike during the day with a fab animation team who were all very friendly and approachable, special mention should go to Toka as she was always checking in on us and the children to make sure everything was OK. Food selection in main restaurant and beach bar was excellent and we never struggled to find anything to eat and we had a particularly fussy eater with us and even he managed to find things to eat. Sassi in the restaurant also deserves a special mention as he provided excellent service everyday. My only criticism and this may very well be an age thing would be that the French man that regularly has a microphone in his hand hasn't got the ability to speak at a normal volume and everything is shouted rather loudly.

Please don't be put off by the negative comments this is a beautiful place to Holiday. The staff were friendly and welcoming big shout out to Toka from the entertainment team and Sassi in the restaurant who really made the effort to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. There are alot of French guest but the entertainment team made the effort to get us brits as involved as we wanted to be. Plenty of things to do. Beautiful pools, the beach is perfect for families with the sectioned of part of the sea. The camel man and the other beach sellers will try their luck but do accept a polite no if you don't want anything. The food is good the villa was spacious and clean. The Median is a lovely afternoon out. Would definitely visit again

I was somewhat apprehensive about this place because it got a few terrible reviews, but we very much enjoyed our stay except for a couple of minor issues. We got a bungalow that was very new, tasteful and spacious, and not too far away from the pool. The beds were all comfortable, and the cleaning lady came every day. The aircon kept the room well cooled, but it started to drip in the hallway at one point. We didn't bother getting it fixed, and found that if we turned off the unit in the bedroom and just put on the one in the living room and kept the door open it stopped the drip and was still cool enough. The TV worked well, lots of channels. The most significant problem we encountered was that the water got cut off for about 7 hours on day 2, with no indication when it would be fixed. Neighboring bungalows had the same problem, and apparently the other guests demanded and received access to an unused room to shower during that time. It wasn't too disruptive for us, as we had showered the night before and spent the day at the pool. The water was back on when we came back to freshen up for dinner, so no great bother. There was no wifi in the bungalow at all, but this was clearly indicated upon check-in. The wifi was supposed to work in the reception area, but it was very patchy. This was the case everywhere in Tunisia, a brave little country that is trying its best to develop, so let's give them a break. The pools were beautiful and not overcrowded, however to sound a common whiney package tourist refrain, there weren't enough sunbeds. If you're up by around 9am, you can probably still stake one out, but we had no luck arriving at 2pm on our first afternoon. The pool water got a bit cloudy at one point, but then was cleaner the next day. The beach was very pleasant. Interestingly, we always got sunbeds with parasols there no matter the time of day. The water was lovely warm, calm and clear most days. The first two days, there was a lot of accumulated plant matter floating in the shallows, but it was cleared overnight about half-way through our stay. The section of the beach and sea is roped off in front of the hotel. Hawkers and camels ply the strip between the sunbeds and the sea, but cannot follow you very far and they're not extremely pushy. Watch out for trails of camel dung. Breakfast was very generous, with a good selection of local and international foods. Quite crowded and a bit chaotic at rush hour. Didn't have any other meal, which brings me to another main complaint. We didn't realize this is primarily an all-inclusive resort. I didn't see that option when booking on their website, and individual meals are a gouge. You can either pay 75 dinar/person for the buffet or European high-end prices for an individual meal at the bar. We usually went out on the street for dinner. There are a couple of decent meshoui places on the main road if you don't mind walking in the heat about 15 minutes. The location was good in a way and bad in another. Its isolated position makes it very peaceful, but if you want to wander around the town, you are dependent on over-priced taxis or have to walk about 30 minutes in the boiling heat. The nearest built-up area is Yasmine Hammamet, which is kitchy as all hell, but fun and kooky, like a North African Brighton. Every evening it was humming with Tunisian expats delighted to be back in their home country and doing silly things with the kids like riding on the King Kong roller coaster and the little street trains. The horses drawing the carriages broke our hearts, though. They are all skin and bones and clearly abused, so for pity's sake, don't give that operation your money! Speaking of money, be aware that ATMs tend to empty out toward the end of the day. We ran around to about 5 banks before finally finding one that was still dispensing, in Carthageland. The hotel activities seemed fine, but not really our scene. The pool entertainers were bursting with enthusiasm and energy in the burning sun, bless them. The evening entertainment was loud, but our room was far enough away. During the day, we got a bit tired of the variety music on the loud speakers, but it was tolerable. The hotel architecture and grounds were the best, with beautifully manicured shrubs, traditional whitewash buildings, and very tasteful interior decor. Everything everywhere was perfectly clean. I experienced none of the rudeness cited by previous reviewers - on the contrary, the staff were incredibly pleasant and patient. Overall, a great experience.

Just returned from a weeks holiday and can safely say it's one of the best thanks to staff and amenities at The Mirage. Think we'd score it as 4.2 Room Two bedroom, two bathroom in the main building facing the tennis courts. Clean, quiet and good a/c. Plenty of room for 4. Balcony lovely. Cuisine Plenty of variety. Good quality. Didn't get bored of the food across the week. Highlights: Grill area, fresh pasta bar, heaps of fruit/juices, fresh pancakes/doughnuts, omlettes/fried eggs, dessert table, plenty of local dishes, plus much more. Restaurant is modern and fresh. Pool area Really excellent. 2 big pools, 1 kid pool. Website doesn't do justice to how good this area is. 6 over-water platforms, plenty of umbrellas, day beds, etc. Water temperature perfect. Entertainment The Animation Team were absolutely first class. Friendly, engaging, just loads of fun! Highlights: daily aqua, dancing, pool games, darts, table tennis, themed nights. All was relaxed, no pressure to participate, but you get out what you put in. The whole team were fantastic, but must call out Toka, Joe and Ahmed who just made it for us, but really the whole team (don't know all their names) we're excellent! Other activities Beach is sandy, water clear(ish), warm Dedicated sun lounges, Beach Bar for drinks. Had lunch there too twice (similar food to main restuarant) There is litter on the beach which is a shame. Camel / Jewellrey dude may speak to you, but they didn't hassle Parasailing great fun (90TD for about 7 mins as a tandem) We walked into Yasmin Hammamet along beach (about 25 mins). A few shops and something to drink but not loads going on - equally maybe we didn't explore much(?) Felt a little tired, but safe Went to Hammamet (25 min taxi). Drive a bit hairy there/back (10TD there, 20TD back) but had a walk around the shops. Usual tourist attention but note one guy pretended to be a chef from our hotel (must have seen wrist bands) and offered to show us around etc etc. All a scam as he takes to mate's shop to try and sell, but polite enough on refusal. Just be aware. Ate at Yeman(?) restaurant on the front - really nice. About £10 for a great fillet steak! Overall staff incl. Restaurant. Everyone was polite. Cleaners friendly and did a great job, reception nice, bar staff good, but must shout out to Nabil from the Pool Bar who was excellent and just a good positive dude. In the restaurant, you're encouraged to dine in a zone with the same waiter. Find where you want to go and basically you get looked after, tip at the end. They did some nice touches like decorating the table on the last night etc. Shout out to Ridha. Suggested improvements: Room: Shower run off gave a mini-bathroom flood, needs attention, but not bad all the time. Room: Fridge wasn't very powerful Restaurant: Occassionally they ran out of plates/cutlery for a few mins, just need a few more hands to help clear/set-up Sercive: Maybe a bit more service of drinks etc around pool - but no biggie All

English people, do not come to this hotel!!! We are currently here and it is shocking. After reading the reviews we still decided to book as everyone has different opinions about places and thought it can’t be that bad, but how wrong were we!!! From arrival we have had multiple problems and reported every day to reception and Tui rep Nidal, we are into day 7 and cannot wait to go home on day 12. They are now trying to change us rooms, we have looked at 2 and both them had problems, we are not moving from 1 room with issues (mainly shower floods bathroom and leaks all into room) to another with issues!! I have made a daily list of issues and if they have yet been fixed or not. The cleaner is shocking, 3 days she has left us with no clean towels or water or toilet roll meaning we had to go to reception and ask for them. Beach towels is another issue, there never is any, reception just say come back in half hour, but when you go back there still is none!! Any issues reception say they will fix them to fob you off, they don’t get done!! The hotel caters for the French, Tui has recently become part of this hotel and has no authority or understanding how the hotel works!! The entertainment is done in French, they cater for the French, the games are for the French, everything is aimed at the French. There is no Taverna restaurant or Al A Carte as advertised by Tui, there is just a buffet restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a beach restaurant which is open 12-3 for lunch. The food is always the same and cold, I also found a piece of plastic baked in a bread roll. We are not the only English couple to complain, there are several English people here and all have put complaints in and are still waiting for them to be rectified. We had no safe, kettle, cups, towels, hairdryer, no patio table, no sofa all as advertised. Tv is no tuned in and today they tell us there is a problem with about 15 bungalows with the same problem. The telephones in the rooms are not connected either. The hotel is undergoing refurbishment which is very much needed.
