The hotel was very nice but a-bit tired. It was nicely laid out with an outside large patio outside the bar and lounge. Check in was pretty quick and easy and we were soon in our room. If we wanted a lively atmosphere,we went around the main pool where there was plenty entertainment all day., or we went to the beach. There were lots of sun beds and a nice bar where you could sit upstairs looking out to sea. There was a beach restaurant right near for lunch so easy to spend the day relaxing. The main restaurant had lots of choice but don’t compare it to food served in an English restaurant. There was always something even for the fussiest eater. The desserts were delicious. Breakfast was pancakes, pastries, deals, yoghurt or a chef cooking fried eggs or a lovely omelette. I used to make my own filling with adding tomato and cheese. The biggest disappointment was the drinks. My husband felt there was no alcohol in the beer bit I enjoyed it with abit of lemonade. You could buy bottles of becks. I like whisky but it no way tasted of it or the brandy. They need to improve their local brews! If/when we go again, I will take a bottle with me but we did learn you could go to a liquor store by taxi. The staff are really lovely and friendly from the reception to the cleaners and gardeners. The animation team were the best we have ever experienced . They are full on all day and in the evening they work so hard on the kids disco and the shows. They make the children feel so special. There were a few problems ie a broken lift, ants in the room but we think they may have been brought in on the flowers that the maid left for us. It was a lovely touch but I used to put them outside. On the whole we got what we paid for and enjoyed every minute. People who complain should pay more for 4 or 5 stars. Even then I’m sure there would the odd problem. We thank all the staff for working so hard to make our holiday. One thing that we didn’t know and I think our rep should have informed us about is that they don’t take dinar at the airport! We had saved over a hundred for food and drinks but they would only take card, cash or euros.

Just returned from a 2 week stay with my partner. I have read previous reviews which I feel are harsh, the hotel is a three star hotel in a poor country who have had to recover from the souse attacks and Covid. I actually would rate the hotel at 4 stars. Overall the hotel has areas which look dated, and it could do with a freshen up however areas of the hotels are kept clean and there is always cleaners around doing their best to keep things clean tidy and hygienic, people have mentioned the reception toilets being dirty on a few occasions I went in and they were dirty however regularly cleaners in there throughout the day. And I think the cleanliness of the guests is the issue not the amount of times they are cleaned. We originally had a room in the main block of the hotel which was ok a little bit dated but fit for use purpose there was a horrible smell of like sewage in the room on occasions which we informed reception of and they came and cleaned the room the smell persisted so we informed reception and we was moved rooms without any problems we had a beautiful room over looking the sea and beach bar. The rooms didn’t have drink making facilities which didn’t bother us but there is a fridge and a safe. Our room had both a bath and a shower which was always hot and powerful. Our room was cleaned daily and bedding changed. There was on occasions ants on the floor but the cleaners do their best with this. Our towels were also changed daily and loo roll etc topped up The main pool is very deep which is brilliant for playing and diving. The only downside is the grassed areas around the pool as they have become boggy and muddy and sun loungers get dirty and are not always cleaned. We had no issues with getting sun beds. The water park is amazing for kids and adults with lots of slides and life guards. Again the actual appearance of the pool area is dated but fit for purpose and keeping in mind this hotel only has a three star rating. Drinks do come in small glasses however if you get your own large cup or bottle they will fill these up instead for you. There isn’t masses of choice drinks wise but this didn’t bother us. Animation team are amazing and always make sure there is something to do throughout the day and night . They always come and say hello and remember everyone’s names we never felt they were over pushy but would always inform you what was on offer should you want to participate , they work so hard and do a brilliant job, night time entertainment is good kids club does seem to start abit late however the children love it and this is ideal for people with children. Bar staff and waiters always brought out drinks to us but we would ensure we have good tips. The bar inside the main entertainment area did get very busy at times and again there isn’t masses of drinks choices but we always found something and this weren’t a problem. Food was ok, there was always something available there is lots of turkey used which got a bit repetitive however there was always something available pizzas pastas salads English style foods breads soups etc tables weren’t always laid or had condiments however waiters would sort out his when asked . People have mentioned that locals are treated better , we didn’t feel this way at all and was always treated nicely and fairly and staff were always pleased to see us and happy to help but we would also in return be nice and show them respect also. There is the main restaurante and the beach bar which was nice for lunch but there isn’t as much choice but it was nice to eat by the sea in a more relaxed setting. The beach was clean and sand is lovely always loungers available and a beach bar for drinks , security won’t allow you to get hassled by people trying to sell things on the beach. For a 3 star hotel I really can’t grumble I think you have to remember you get what you pay for and the country you are in. Some people’s expectations are way to high. For a three star hotel we couldn’t fault the place at all. We would return to Venus beach :) and thank all the staff for all their hard work and ensuring we had a good holiday !

Going to be completely honest and realistic, because some of the reviews I read on here prior to coming made me dread the holiday before we had even left. Firstly, I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for, and for the price of this holiday I have absolutely no complaints at all. This is not a five star luxury resort. You can’t expect ice creams and cocktails on demand, spotless facilities and amazing food. But for the price, this hotel provides endless fun for the whole family. We have brought my 2 year old and he has not been bored once. Their are cracked tiles around the pools, ants and flies (no mosquitos though), but these are not an issue at all and I feel this is reflected in the price. The food isn’t amazing - but you wouldn’t go hungry. We brought cereal for my little boy for breakfast from home so we could guarantee he would eat something… but lunch and dinners not been an issue always pasta and pizza. The pizzas are actually amazing, but after eating them for 7 days straight I don’t want pizza for the rest of the month. The drinks are okay, no complaints. Cups are small for by pool, but this is to be expected as they have to be plastic. Not an issue as you can just go up again once you’ve finished. Entertainment team are amazing and work so hard, include all the children from babies to teens. The rooms are big and beds are comfy. Couple of English movie channels so that was good for when my little boy wanted an early night. Never struggled to get a sun bed which was amazing, theirs multiple pools that my little boy would want to go to throughout the day so we moved around a lot and never struggled to get somewhere to sit. Only downside - not much to do when it’s raining. We had one morning of rain and decided to visit Friguia park which is a local zoo we enjoyed this a lot. All in all would 100% come back, a good price and an amazing experience. If you come with 5 star expectations, prepare to be disappointed. But if your coming to enjoy yourself, you’ll love it.

The hotel is outdated with old shower rooms an very basic facilities in rooms not hot drink facilities in rooms very small these was a constant smell of sewers but the maid was very good with her cleaning an friendlyness sun beds were very dirty an on dead muddy area round pool .pool was reasonably clean. Food was awfull and very repetitive. Every one was saying the same. Waiters were reserving tables for certain guests so you couldn't get a table easy an long queues to get food. Drinks very limited in tiny plastic cups. Couldn't make a cocktail even thou they tried to. Very slow service on evening entertainment. An most of entertainment was carried out by animation team who worked very hard there was only 2 proper shows not done by animation team. They made our holiday they work so hard. Had a few words to restaurant manager about saving tables being treated like second hand citizens. Bedding had stains on it an blood stains limited bath towels an bath mat didn't even have towels when we got there an bath floor mat not always there. Very old shower area. This would be a lovely hotel if cleaned up an updated. Couldn't even get a coffee one machine queues galore

Came home yesterday from Venus beach only good thing was the animation team photographers,Billy outside the hotel. The hotel is dirty, management are rude, food undercooked, reception toilets are unsanitary, my whole family are still poorly from day 3 of holiday, ants climbing up walls, air conditioning unit filthy and leaking, fungus all round the children pool, had to pay to get doctor after 7 days of seeing the nurse and getting no better, main restaurant was like feeding time in a zoo. Tui rep useless i could go on but I won't just avoid at all cost

Booked this fairly last minute, and having been to Morocco and Egypt before I thought I’d be in for a similar trip in terms of quality. Nope. Very disappointing. There is potential for this hotel, but the negatives outweigh the positives. First the good: the private beach area is very nice and the sea when it’s clear and calm is both warm and comfortable to chill out in. The majority of the staff were very nice. There’s a fairly packed daily entertainment schedule (water polo, water aerobics, archery, darts, etc), so you won’t easily be bored. The water park on-site is fairly impressive (if you’re fortunate enough to get a rubber ring). That’s about it. Now for the negatives: the hotel is dirty, on so many ways, sanitation is clearly an issue. The toilets have little hoses which I suppose locals use to ‘clean’ themselves with, but as a consequence the toilet floors and the seats are always soaking wet. The toilets also use communal soap bars to wash their hands, which is a bit odd. The food in the restaurants is bland, cold and the choice is pretty much the same everyday. There’s also a real issue with sanitation in the restaurant and cross contamination. Eating here will be dangerous for some people, and people we met had been getting ill. We both got upset stomachs from eating here. Or perhaps from the ice. We had ants in our room. Lots of them. The maids would take away our old towels and not replace them meaning we were having to go on regular missions to track down new clean towels. The all inclusive from a drinks perspective is extremely limited. They have one beer and a very suspect white wine and ALL of the spirits are so heavily watered down it’s a joke. People were travelling into the city about 15 minutes taxi away to purchase their own spirits it was that bad. Also, the cups they serve drinks in are a joke, very small and their process of cleaning them before serving to a new person is to quickly submerge them in dirty water and give it a quick rinse. We ended up buying our own plastic cups to avoid this (again, sanitation is a real issue). Some of the locals who were also vacationing at the hotel were down right rude. I ended up having a full blown row with a man pushing in front of two children in the queue for the drinks machine. I’d rather not tarnish all with this brush, but unfortunately there were numerous incidents like this where people are just rude. The beach is covered in camel and horse poo from walking up and down all day. Also, paragliding is very popular here. We tried it but we’re shocked that you literally get 5 minutes up in the air, so I’d suggest it’s probably not worth it. It was also shocking to see the amount of plastic wash up on the beach later in the week when it was a bit windy. It changed the way I viewed the sea here. As far as excursions are concerned there are two nearby towns (old and new Hammamet) but there’s very little to see or do on either place. I enjoyed lying around the sun loungers reading a book but the music was way, way, way too loud. I also enjoyed the pool and daily swims (though it’s very deep) but having got an ear infection whilst ear (again, I wasn’t the only one), I would also question the sanitation of the pool. The evening entertainment was boring if you’re a couple. The kids disco starts fairly late at 08.30, and then it’s either bingo or a raffle before the staff perform a fairly drab ‘show’. It then turns into a rave for the handful of people wanting to dance. It’s ridiculously loud, and all of the hotel rooms facing out this way (such as ours) would suffer from this. WiFi here is a joke, the only place you can guarantee it is when you’re standing at the lobby reception. Otherwise it’s hardly available. I really wanted to like this place, and it does have some redeeming aspects. But overall it’s just not good and I wouldn’t recommend. If you come, be prepared to get ill from the uncleanliness and deal with some rude people. Bring hand sanitiser, your own spirits, your own drinking cup, be prepared for no WiFi, an upset tummy, an ear infection, poo in the sand, and monotonous evenings on repeat.

Myself and my family of 4 and extended family stayed here for 7 nights all inclusive on the 09/09/22 there was 15 of us in total and came with an open mind after reading a few bad reviews. I thought I would give our view on our holiday. On arrival we had a very good welcoming and sat in the bar waiting for our room, we were given juice drinks and forms to fill out, this took approximately 1 hour. We were given our room 720 which was an annex building heading towards the beach whilst my other family members were situated in the main building. Hotel staff kindly helped with luggage to our room but unfortunately no lift in the annex building, we had to carry our two year old in her pram 3 flights up the stairs, in the heat this was quite a task but we carried on and headed to our room. Room itself was ok but no air conditioning it was like a furnace in there and so uncomfortable so I decided to go to reception and ask for a change of room, hotel manager was lovely I didn’t catch his name but he reassured me if we could stay in the room for one night he will move us the following day after breakfast, that night was unbearable my partner slept on balcony and our two year old was soaking in sweat, the night was torcher. The next morning we changed rooms, we were given a lovely room 355 in main building near extended family, ahh magic air conditioning works, we unpacked and felt relieved, next issue was toilet didn’t flush but my partner managed to fix this problem. Room was lovely bit dated but we knew it was 3* so wasn’t expecting 5* quality. Pools were amazing the children really enjoyed the slides. Entertainment was ok the team works so hard but unfortunately due to having a 2 year old we missed the shows and only stayed for mini disco or bingo. Food was ok we never went hungry always something to eat but repetitive, I think that’s most all inclusive though, main thing we always ate. In the restaurant there’s a kids corner at 6pm but only there till 7pm so always missed it. The “locals” that came to use the restaurant most of which were rude and would push in queues poke their fingers in food to taste before taking, this was quite off putting. We loved the snack bar more, less chaotic more cooler and relaxed atmosphere. Waiters were amazing and again work so hard. Juices and fizzy drinks were ok, alcohol not the best but didn’t bother me because I don’t really drink alcohol. Booked a boat trip through the hotel was told would see the dolphins and stop off for swim also food and and drink was supposed to be provided but this wasn’t the case, no dolphins no stop off and just melon and water provided. We booked family photos through the hotel also paid 20 Dina had the shoot and photographer was so lovely, after choosing which pics I wanted they were 15 Dina per print I chose 5 so paid 75 Dina forgetting I had already paid 20 night before, I asked for 20 back but he told me he would email the prints over to me for the 20 Dina, I wasn’t getting that back so just agreed but haven’t received the email with all the pics. We didn’t leave the hotel and wish we did as it was same thing day in day out. The beach was out of this world but sea was very strong no good for the little ones to swim in. The holiday we enjoyed but wouldn’t come back to this hotel.

Today we have returned from the 14 Day stay at the hotel, which is very good as a 3 star place. Beach is sandy and lovely, expecially if you like to run you can run along the edge to Hammamet where the water is turquise. You can also ride a camel at the beach or play Volleyball. Hotel is the best place for children, they can not get bored, aquapark is intendet for age 0 - 100 or more. There is mini disco every evening so you can have fun whith the kids too. Food is not very reachly of quantity, but is enough, for me was tasty, a have eat every day something else. Service at the hotel work very hard, everyone was kind, especially bar tenders. Room was clean, quite big, I do not spend much time there so for me was very good. I was a little bit worry about ants but a after a few days I treat them like roommates. Something that make this place amazing is the animation team, they really work hard every day and they never stop smiling. Shaggy you're the best! And boss of team - I wish I have your charisma. To sum up I spend fantastic time at the hotel. I've already miss this place and people...

These two stars are for the beach and the staff, food was always cold, well it would be as they put it out an hour before the restaurant opens, don’t cater for vegetarians or vegan,I lived on chips and salad all week, the maid takes the towels in the morning and you don’t get them back till between 5-6.30,everyone of us got bad stomach’s,there was a sewage problem, they had to dig up at the bottom of our stairs, and two days later it was still open, you could see the poo,the toilets were dirty all the time,we kept going back to our room to use them, and watch the locals that stay in the hotel,so so rude,if you didn’t move for them they would walk straight into you, take your cutlery off your table, and try and take your chair if you got up,a couple of our rooms were infested with ants, also not much of a choice of drink, vodka, gin, whiskey,Bacardi, wine or beer,I know it’s a poor country but tui isn’t a poor company, none of us will be going again
