The whitewashed hotel overlooks its own pool area and out towards the Gulf of Hammamet. Days can be spent relaxing on the terrace or unwinding in the spa, which has a indoor pool. Children can play in the kids' pool. Le Sultan has tennis courts, table tennis and mini golf. There's a golf course a short drive away, and the hotel puts on a shuttle bus. You can also go horse riding along the beach with horses from the hotel's stables. For children, there's a playground as well as a kids' club where they can get involved with organised activities throughout the day. The hotel has several restaurants and bars, where you can get meals, snacks and local soft and alcoholic drinks. 2019 the hotel was renovated in following areas: new beach, extended pool bar, playground and pastry lab, renovated rooms and pool decking.

I was going to write a long review with all the points that were awful but in all honesty I need to forget the holiday happened, so this will be short and sweet and hopefully save at least one person from going and wasting their time and money! 1. Food - terrible, so so terrible, so bad I bought my food on an all inclusive 2. Fitness centre -is a few bits of equipment that would fit in my 8x4 shed 3. Staff - other than about 5 people they are the rudest people I’ve met in a hotel 4. The room - not what we were sold, not a good view and very small and not up to a 4 star rating. 5. Area - ideal if you want to do nothing, the 2 markets are rubbish, literally 10 stalls in old market and new market isn’t a market it’s shops. if you’re looking for a good holiday in North Africa, choose morocco. This was my second visit to Tunisia as I like to give second chances but I will never go again! Without sounding like an idiot, I’d like to say I’m very well travelled and stayed in all types of hotels, 2/3/4/5 star hotels, I don’t expect better than what I pay for! To any English people that are saying this is a good hotel with great staff and food, are not normal and must be use to 1 maybe 2 star hotels and must’ve forgotten this is being rated as a 4 and the price is reflecting a 4 star when it’s a 2 star. By saying this is a good hotel is being unfair to someone looking for a good holiday. I wouldn’t rubbish a place unless it deserves, so to anyone reading do yourself a favour and choose a different country but if your heart is set in Tunisia then please choose a better hotel.

Absolutely loved this hotel, everyone we met that worked there was respectful and so polite but best of all friendly and attentive. On arrival we were given cooling towels and a drink, Sami took charge of our bags and showed us to our room making sure we had instructions for the safe and checking all was ok and that we were happy with the room itself. Anna on reception was there every day with a smile and wave as we passed to go to the restaurant, and when we needed help with something she sorted it in quick time. The food at the hotel was great with many choices (those that say it was bad obviously didn't take the time to actually look at what choices they had). The waiters were happy and constantly on the go, shout out to Adel who always had time to find us a table and make sure we had everything we needed, I would also like to mention Tarek the restaurant manager who was always up for a quick chat and recommend what was best to try on the menu in the evenings. The chefs never ignored us and yes there are screens up, but it does not hamper them dishing up your food or being able to chat with them about portion size, (they do like to feed you). Our room was a Seaview which was lovely in the evenings just to sit and look out to sea. the lady that cleaned our room was amazing she always made sure it was ok to come in if we were in the room and all utilities were topped up on a regular basis including clean towels every day. to be honest we didn't spend a lot of time in the room as being out by the pool or beach is what we went on holiday for. the pool area was cleaned every morning, we watched them whilst having our morning coffee on the balcony. There is no problem with sunbeds as there is plenty for everyone, and I only seen a couple of people reserving their sunbeds with towels (obviously they had to have the same beds every day). quick tip you have to put a deposit down for pool towels so take your own if you can). The pool bar is very handy for a respite from the sun as it has a shaded area to sit at, the guys working there are fun loving and really try to converse with you, a bit of banter goes a long way in my book, and they were up for a laugh. We got to know one of them very well he was called Slim and would check that we were ok for drinks even when we were not at the bar. In the evenings we would sit out on the terrace where once again the waiters were attentive and friendly, there was one waiter his name was Hassen El Kaf but to make it easy for us he told us to call him Chris, he was so switched on to everyone he served that he knew who liked what drink, and as soon as you finished he saw and was there in a flash to see if you wanted another. All in all, it was a great holiday and I'm planning another trip here with my daughter in June. To all those that have left bad reviews about bad service etc maybe if you were a bit more forthcoming with a smile and at least tried to talk to the staff in this hotel you may have had a better time, would you want to approach someone that looks grumpy.

After spending a lot of time looking for the perfect hotel we decided to go for Le Sultan. There was 3 of us (2 adults and a baby [1 year old]) upon arrival our bags were quickly taken up we were checked in and given drinks at reception and shown to our room in which they’d given us a cot that we’d previously asked for in an email. The view from our room was beautiful, overlooking the sea. I’m quite a picky eater and I enjoyed every single meal we had during our one week stay. We loved relaxing in the bar, by the pool, our daughter loved the kids shows by the animation team in the evenings, the staff were wonderful. We only spoke English and they all took their time to speak to us and get to know us, cater for what we wanted. The animation team were lovely (shoutout to Ryan who was always so sweet to our daughter), the bar staff, the cleaners, the waiters, reception. Everyone was great. The shows in the evening were good! Especially the circus and magician nights. We had the most wonderful time and we’d definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and we’ll definitely be back! I visited the spa for a massage which was nice and relaxing, the childrens park area had so many swings / slides / activities for the children. We had a slight issue with our shower, as soon as we told reception they sent someone upstairs within 5 minutes to fix it for us. Our room was cleaned every single day, we were given fresh towels. We couldn’t fault anything! The only slight downfall was that two beds were pushed together to make one large bed, it got a little annoying as the beds would keep separating. I hope this is something they can improve in the future! Thankyou to the staff at Le Sultan for making our time in Tunisia wonderful. 🥰

My Fiancé and i arrived at Le Sultan very late on 9th September 2022, tired and hungry. Bashir immediately came to collect our cases from the coach and wheeled them up to reception. At reception we received a warm welcome and a cooling flannel to mop our hands and faces. The gentleman on reception was very kind and arranged a cold meal of bread, salad and meats in the restaurant also a nice cold beer each. After we'd eaten and completed our check in Bashir showed us up to our room. He showed us how everything worked including the safe. What a lovely kind and happy man Bashir was - our thanks to him. The hotel is exceptionally clean and well maintained and the rooms are modern - we had a wonderful sea view. The guests are a mixture of nationalities and everyone gets on well and there's no problem getting a sunbed or parasol. The food selections are very good and we particularly enjoyed the fresh barbecued fish each evening and show cooking stations.  A good range of drinks and freshly made cocktails available. A very kind waiter, Norad, found us a table in the restaurant each evening and replenished our drinks as necessary. We took part in the aqua aerobics each day and the two gentlemen that ran that were good fun and ensured everyone was able to understand the instructions and felt included. The pool area is well maintained and the water a lovely temperature. The drinks waiters are all very polite and friendly. We ate in the Pirate seafood restaurant one lunch time which was a lovely menu. Evening entertainment seemed OK but started just a bit too late for us. It was a nice surprise as Tui who we booked with had not advertised any evening entertainment here. The free WiFi was a little patchy but that's to be expected and generally for my requirements was absolutely fine. Beautiful small sandy beach and clear warm sea. Overall a wonderful stay and I would definitely recommend it. If i'm being picky: * a little remote * could do with a full bar menu showing what was included in the All Inclusive rather than just the cocktails.

This was a nice peaceful hotel, wasn’t pestered too much by the animation team, which was good. The beach area was small but nice loungers and shades available though. Loads of loungers around the pool area. It gets a bit tiresome that even though I was all inclusive (and was wearing the AI wristband) I had to give room number every time I ordered a drink etc. There were not many English speaking guests, most were German and Tunisian, but didn’t spoil my holiday. Staff were friendly, had a lovely waiter who reserved my table and drinks for meal times. Maids were nice and room cleaned daily. Was a bit annoyed with one who was trying to get me to let her have my blue tooth speaker, coming back when I was there, allegedly checking the room, but mentioned the speaker every time, before asking for it on my last night.

I’m going to be blunt. This place is the pits. I very rarely leave negative reviews (you can check out my profile to show that I am not a serial complainer!) This is an honest review to prevent anyone making the same mistake as us by booking this hotel after seeing the professional photos and reading the positive reviews - most aren’t from UK guests…. I have visited four star hotels in Morocco, therefore I know what the standards should be in North Africa. I can’t believe that TUI would have this hovel on their books. This hotel is a two star at best. The food is inedible. The buffet restaurant was a very stressful experience and like feeding time at the zoo. There were huge queues as all of the food is behind plastic screens and there are hardly any staff to serve you or, if there were, they’d just ignore you. The majority of the guests push in front of you, squeezing into the smallest of gaps that you would leave between you and the person in front. They’d then pretend not to know that you were talking to them when challenged. I’m not a fussy eater and I love sampling local cuisine on holiday, but even I couldn’t stomach most of the food. Sometimes, the smell from the restaurant would turn my stomach as I walked into it. The scent of damp/wet dog featured regularly. Breakfast was particularly bad. All that was on offer in terms of hot food were pancakes and waffles, eggs, cut up frankfurter sausages and a local Tunisian dish which was unidentifiable with no label to give you any idea as to what it was. I have never been to a four star hotel before where you weren’t served tea or coffee at breakfast. This was self-service via vending machines and urns, with plastic teaspoons and, sometimes, paper cups as no one bothered to replenish the china cups. This area was regularly left messy and no one thought to tidy it (I’ve included pictures). Even yogurts had to be eaten with plastic spoons as no metal teaspoons were provided. No orange juice was available at breakfast. We enquired as to why and were told it was “out of season”, whilst watching them pour pineapple juice from a carton into the drinks dispenser…. Hygiene is poor here. One evening I watched a “chef”, who was cooking sausages, use the same pair of tongs to move the cooked meat over to the side, then pick the raw sausages up from the container next to him. He did this on several occasions. I then watched him use his gloved hands (which he’d been picking raw meat up with) to scoop up the dregs from the chips container and wipe it clean with his raw meat-covered hands, before the freshly cooked chips went into the container. I also saw flies sitting on raw prawns that were being placed into the “show cooking” dishes. The hotel doesn’t seem to be concerned about their effect on the environment. Plastic teaspoons were used (I never saw a metal one) and plastic straws. A glass of water wasn’t possible. You would be given a large plastic bottle of water and disposable cups (no glass, unless you repeatedly asked for it). The large bottles of water then got hot in the sun and would be discarded. I dread to think how much plastic they get through in a day. 95% of the staff are unbelievably rude and, it’s clear, that they don’t like Brits. Most staff were unable to speak English (or, they pretended that they couldn’t). I don’t expect everyone to speak English, as I don’t speak Arabic, but there was no attempt to understand what you were asking for and no attempts to try to converse. On multiple occasions, we’d be placing an order for a drink at the bar or requesting something from reception and a French or Algerian guest would turn up and the staff member would just start serving them instead and abandon you half way through. French/Algerian guests always got preference at the bars, no matter how long you’d been waiting. If you need anything, you have to ask repeatedly. We had to request for our safe to be fixed five times and request that a cover was put on the stained, bare duvet that was left on our bed, twice. The rooms are very small and dark. There are only two small bedside lights and a lamp in the room. You couldn’t see what you were doing unless you were in the bathroom. Speaking of which, the bathroom had seen better days and there was no storage available. There used to be a shelf in there, but it was obviously broken at some point and no one thought to fix it. (This is a common theme at this hotel. No staff members take any personal responsibility or pride in their work and just leave items broken or missing and then walk away; such as no plates and no food in the serving trays in the restaurant. Door frames and handles in the lifts were broken, as were toilet seats in the bathrooms). The water pressure is terrible and the shower kept running cold. The bed was rock hard and the pillows are old and lumpy. Tea and coffee and water in the room were never replenished. Toilet roll also seems to be in scarce supply here too, as we never had any. When we checked in, there was rubbish all over the flat roof outside our balcony…which was supposed to be a garden room but, instead, offered a lovely view of the car park…We did ask for it to be cleared but, being English, we were obviously ignored, so had to climb over the balcony and clear the rubbish up ourselves. The wifi hardly ever works in this hotel. The staff are all aware and state that it’s very bad. They shouldn’t advertise that they have it. The indoor pool and the jacuzzi were broken the whole week that we were there. No information is provided about the hotel upon check in. Apparently there are five bars here? We only saw two. When we asked for a map or an information sheet, we were given a look of incredulity and then, obviously, ignored. Despite wearing an all inclusive wristband, we were constantly asked for our room number every time we ordered a drink. When we enquired as to why, we were told it was for “control” and that other guests “sold their wristbands”. I would suggest that the hotel find a way to solve this problem as it was very annoying. I’ll finish my review with the very, very few positives about this hotel: * There are a small handful of staff that are actually friendly and do their jobs - the animation team (in particular, Jamal), Hassan at the bar in the evening, Sami the waiter in the buffet restaurant at lunch and dinner and I think that’s about it. * The treatments that we had at the spa were good * The outdoor pool is very clean and a lovely temperature * The gardener takes pride in his work and was often working hard in the heat * The desserts were nice in the buffet restaurant In conclusion, I wouldn’t return to this hotel even if you paid me. I will be contacting TUI regarding this pitiful hotel and, hopefully, for everyone else’s sake, they’ll take it off their books!

This hotel is so fun. I really enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it. There were about 3 English families here, the majority of guests are from Tunisia and most people speak Arabic or French We travelled as a family of 4, it was myself, husband and 2 children. Our children are 2 years old and 9 years old. All of us were fully occupied and entertained for the duration of our stay. The food choice throughout the day was really good. It was tasty and there is a lot of choice. The kids club had many activities to keep all children and adults entertained. There is a hotel beach that we spent most days on, and it was about 20 minutes taxi drive to Yasmine Hammamet town center with many shops, restaurants and family fun (There was a waterpark and theme park in the city centre but we didn't get a chance to go inside) Overall this hotel gets 5 stars from me, great food, location and we really didn't want to leave! The staff are also very friendly and helpful
