Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa is located on the hillside of North Patong. Only few minutes away from the Patong downtown where you can enjoy night life and shopping. We have a plenty of great choice of restaurants and bars within the hotel grounds, really impressive and well designed pool areas over looking the sparkling blue sea of Andaman. All rooms type are fabulous including our Pool Villas, all well appointed and furnished in gorgeous typically Modern-Thai furnishings.

Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Diamond Cliff Resort and Spa is frequently praised for its exceptional amenities, including stunning pools and a variety of breakfast foods, coupled with its comfortable rooms that boast ocean views. The service is often described as warm and attentive, with guests appreciating the helpful shuttles and staff, despite occasional language barriers. While the rooms are spacious, some guests find them to be outdated and have raised concerns about cleanliness and maintenance.
The hotel is commended for its cleanliness overall and the pleasant atmosphere, though the decor could use modernization. Value is seen as favorable, particularly through package deals, but some travelers note that on-site costs can be higher than local options. The location is generally well-regarded for its proximity to Patong Beach and serene views, although some guests find the stairs to be a challenge.

So we came to stay here on the first leg of our Thailand trip from 21st Dec to the 28th Dec. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, some parts newer than others but very beautiful and grand. However if you have problems with your mobility I would recommend asking for a room lower down in the complex as it is very steep with alot of stairs.
We stayed on room 5912 which was a delux suite woth an ocean view, it was showing signs of age. It wasn't very well lit so on an evening it was difficult to do your make up in the dressing area, the curtains didn't close properly, the shower was faulty and there weren't plug sockets or a bed side table on both sides of the bed. However these we're minor inconveniences.
We had to quarantine until our pcr results came back and the hotel were more than happy to let us order room service which I heard other places didn't.
The food here was out standing... the breakfast buffet was well stocked with fresh produce and a good selection. Evening meals in the dining area were delicious with a relatively good choice.
The location is far enough out of Pa Tong that the hotel is peaceful on an evening... there is a taxi and tuk tuk stand at the bottom of the hotel drive and for 200 baht you can get a ride down to Banglar Road.
The hotel staff were polite and friendly and the public areas are spotlessly clean.

Wow. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Not cheap by any means, but the service surpassed anything we’ve ever had. Our rooms weren’t ready when we arrived (10am), but we were given given vouchers for the restaurant and a drink at the bar.
The rooms are huge, and the bathrooms are spotless and well stocked with all you need, ie, razors, toothbrushes, moisturiser and plenty of shampoo and shower gel (top quality products too.)
Drinks are expensive, but it’s a 5*, so be prepared to pay a bit extra. It’s built on the side of a steep hill, but there’s a shuttle service that will drop you at your room any time of the day. There’s two pools, spotlessly clean and pool towel service is available.
You can also take towels from the hotel reception if you’re going out on trips, no charge. All in all, a wonderful hotel and I would recommend it to anyone.
Patong is just a short walk (downhill) if your fit, or just jump a tuk tuk from outside the hotel 200 baht.

We had a room on the top floor at the back of the resort with a beautiful view. Be prepared to walk up stairs, however this was no trouble for a young family with teenagers. The shuttle driving up and down from the lobby to rooms was frequently used as well.
The hotel provides a beach bag in the room and you can walk across the road to the beach. Patong beach is also a few minutes walk away. There is a tuk-tuk stand across the road and often transport coming in and out of the hotel so it's easy to get a ride into town.
We befriended one of the cab drivers and he took us to the fantasea show, the airport and other locations for a good rate. (note this trip was in Dec before Covid).
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable with a pillow menu etc. Breakfast buffet had a wide selection and the drinks by the pool were very decent with great service.
We had a fabulous relaxing time and if you book months in advance you can lock in an low rate.
Highly recommend.

The resort has a good view and most of the staff are nice but it also has a lot of flaws!
We stayed 2 weeks in this hotel and this is what we noticed.
The spa is overpriced, you can get the same quality of Thai massage in the city for 5 times cheaper including a pickup from the hotel.
Our room was connected with the nextdoor room with no soundproofing between the two doors which was extremely annoying, you could tell whenever they sleep talk or even ....
The fire alarm went off one of the nights waking up everyone in the building with no explanation from the staff.
If you decide to shower late at night, you might risk getting burnt! The water temperature goes from cool to very hot randomly for couple of seconds then goes back to normal
It feels kinda sad that these little things can change the whole experience.

The location is really nice as it is located right near Patong beach. There is a lot of food places nearby and plenty of walking area. Most of the things you want to do will pick you up from this location as well, while some other areas will charge extra.
The hotel itself is okay. They give you 1kg of free fruit which is awesome. The pool is very nice and comfortable. The hotel also really cares about keeping the area clean. With all the rain storms and winds, I did not see a single leaf in the pool.
The Wifi at the hotel is terrible. I had to constantly disconnect and reconnect, and it was just all-around slow. Most of the restaurants that I went to had better Wifi capabilities.
I also had a little ant problem in my room. I kind of ignored them at first as I just saw a few here and there, but when I went to leave and check under the couch, there was a pile of them.

Although I only stayed for a night, I was in love with the property. I stayed at the Villa (was lucky to be upgraded from the romantic suite due to the lack of the room type I wanted), and it has an amazing ocean view just about anywhere in the 400 square meters property. The living room was really spacious although the furniture has a vintage feel. The bedroom was also very spacious with a HUGE bathroom with several showering areas. On the outside of the house, the pool was really clean and oversees the ocean, and there's even a bubble massage area within the pool as well as a sauna room next to the pool. You even have a butler and if you need anything, you can just give him a call and he would prepare anything as you with. It's a wonderful experience staying at the property overall! I would gladly pay for the villa myself on my next visit!

Hotel was everything we expected requested a room near to reception due to mobility issues after reading some reviews re steps We found them not to be a problem Wi-Fi good breakfast was reasonable for a 5star hotel special mention Ticky and Yok. Who were very attentive to our needs . No problem with transport into Patong. Can walk into town 20min all flat . Pool and sun beds all clean you would be very unlucky not to get some sort of sea view from your room. would stay again if we found a deal Dec Jan Feb high season we stayed June July weather was good. rainy for a couple of hours did not stop us doing anything Massive comfy beds

We stayed here for two weeks during our Phuket Sandbox. We got a great deal for a room with an indoor jacuzzi and ocean view, and the staff was very helpful with booking our PCR-tests and everything else. Only one pool was open due to few guests, but it was good with ocean view, the gym was well equipped and the hotel made sure you could maintain social distancing.
Great breakfast as well. Only downside is it is a bit far from downtown Patong if you do not want to rent a motorbike and we had some language barriers with some of the staff members.

Where do I start. I don’t like to waste my time and write reviews but tend to find time where the place is particularly awful. We booked this place and was very very excited as it was my mum‘s 65th birthday. We booked two rooms a villa and a suite .
The villas are located in an absolutely ridiculous position which makes all their guests Walk up many many stairs.
I am young fit and healthy and I struggled so I know that my elderly parents definitely did! This was the reason why often they did not come down from their villa .
The place is just way too hilly and although they offer a buggy service they were shortstaffed often when we stayed causing guests having to wait ages for the buggy to arrive. For those staying in the villa even with the buggy they’re still walking and climbing up the stairs involved.
The breakfast is absolutely disgusting. They try to cater for all but ended up with a bizarre variety of food which was bland And undercooked. If you wanted an egg at breakfast from the omelette station the chef had such a bad attitude that he did not look approachable at all.
Paid all that money for this “holiday” and just ended up having tea and toast for two weeks!
The suite is okay and so are the pools. But certainly not the standard expected for the price you pay.
Upon checkout the hotel obviously had my credit card and we were getting late for our flight I was told upon checking that all fees associated to my room would be deducted from my credit card. I was very rudely dragged away from my taxi told to go to reception where I spoke to an extremely extremely rude woman (her name was nana something) there was no hello I smiled at her she referred to me as “her” honestly so incredibly rude. They have absolutely no idea about a good customer service at all.
The staff are all very good at smiling but when you dig deeper and have a conversation with them they are extremely rude.
Obviously my aim was to get to the airport and make my plane and on the journey I did not waste time writing to the hotel manager to complain. I did eventually receive a response and an apology but I know we feel that this compensates for how this incredibly rude woman made me feel when I left Thailand. I left with a bad taste in my mouth .
Honestly, when I was looking around for places to say there were so many good reviews about this place but perhaps they went a different time.
I was extremely disappointed. We spent almost £10,000 staying at this hotel and I deeply deeply regret choosing this accommodation. Phuket is a beautiful place and there are many many choices and options for accommodation. This place is definitely not worth it.
There are many many other better choices. Moral of the story is look around and do your research. If you’re looking for fun enjoyment and relaxation this is definitely not the place to go.

I've recently had the pleasure of experiencing my first stay at Diamond Cliff Resort, Patong.
Right from my arrival, the staff were friendly and welcoming and greeted me with a local fresh, chilled juice.
The check-in process was well organised and staff were attentive and efficient.
On the drive up to my room, the wide range of facilities were shown to me along with details of operating hours, happy hours for the different pool side bars and collection points for transport throughout the resort.
The view from my room was amazing and room service on my first night while awaiting my PCR result was fast and delicious.
Buffet breakfast - pool side seating, view over the sea and a wonderful selection of local and western options.
All meals were amazing and value for money, not like most resorts that charge through the roof - this was well aligned with local restaurant prices.
Although this stay was short, my next stay is already booked and I can't wait to return, unwind and relax again at this well presented and beautiful resort.
Thank you Diamond Cliff Resort 🙏
