Kalima Resort & Spa Phuket is acknowledged by guests for its fair pricing and occasional deals, though some services may come at a premium. Perched in a prime location, the hotel boasts breathtaking views and easy access to Patong, striking a perfect balance between tranquility and convenience. The hotel's service receives high marks for its attentiveness and promptness, enhancing guest experiences with special touches.
While the infinity pool and breakfast options are popular amenities, the limited poolside seating has been noted. Rooms are commended for their cleanliness, space, and stunning vistas, despite isolated reports of pests and maintenance issues.

I just had the best Thai massage so far in my life. From the entrance, you are welcomed with a glass of juice with a soft relaxing music to wait for the room. Pi Pen and Pi Nan are both very professional 💯/💯. I appreciated their service.

A wonderful holiday at Kalima Resort & Spa, Phuket. We stayed for 3 nights in July 2024 as a couple. We arrived by flight from Koh Samui and check in easily.
We had booked the Deluxe Sea View Room and were on a full board package with breakfast, lunch and dinner items as a set menu to be selected from a few options at the Malika rooftop restaurant. A limited spread in Desserts, Salads/Appetizers while the Main course spread was alright. Water was chargeable during any meal.
The SPA was really nice with great SPA Staff & treatments were just amazing. Visited the SPA twice during our stay and was truly a wonderful, relaxing experience. The weather in July was cloudy with light rain, so it was perfect and not so hot during the day, but humid still. The resort is a quick 10 min from Patong beach and has a regular shuttle during the day. House-keeping was great and also did replenish the toiletries/shower gels/towels well considering an almost beach resort.
We spent most of the time on the balcony with the crystal clear ocean and visiting the nearby Patong Beach area as all restaurants, eateries, shopping was all right there.
The resort overall is truly awesome, for a perfect holiday! We would definitely recommend to stay here at Kalima Resort & Spa Phuket!!!

We stayed in Patong for a week over Xmas, and wanted somewhere near to the craziness of Patong, but far enough away that you can escape it, and this was the place.
We booked almost a year before, via booking.com, and got a 70% discount off prices, which we thought was too good to be true, and we’d find out the hard way when we arrived……. However it turned out to be a gem, and a stunning hotel looking over Patong bay, with the most spectacular views (especially sunset).
I can’t commend the staff enough, exceptional professional and attentive. Nothing was too much for them. One of our bags didn’t arrive for a few days, so at no expense we had toothbrushes, shaving kit, all the shower gels and shampoo you could wish for - which helped a lot.
We are able bodied people, but in the heat and humidity need to slow down. Now, this place is build in a steep hillside, so there are lots of lifts and steps needed to get to your rooms (we were right at the top of the complex looking over the bay/pool. I’d suggest this is not for you if you’re not good on your feet, just because it’s a hike to get into and around the hotel.
The pool area is really well done, albeit maybe not enough seats and parasols for guests, so get there early to claim a good spot for the day. The poolside bar was a delightful experience, and the guys serving were really great, and not in your face trying to upsell all the time.
Our room was beautiful, with air conditioning and balcony overlooking the bay. Massive bed was excellent. Full free WiFi throughout the hotel, and lovely big smart tv in the room. The walk in shower and separate bath for two was a nice touch.
Breakfast was extensive and spoilt for choice. If you’re there around 8:30 then it’s a busy place, queuing for food/coffee, so we went earlier and no problems at all.
Patong is 15 mins away (on a good day, as traffic is horrendous). The taxis are cheap and readily available. Tip - download the ‘Bolt’ app for booking taxis, it’s just like Uber, and is fantastic for Thailand.
Patong is a mad crazy place (in a good way), if you want a busy and eye opening night then this is the place to be. Really recommend Bangla Road, bartering with traders, and the Thai boxing at the stadium at the top of Bangla Road (brutal to watch, but this is Thailand and is part of the culture).
One draw back is its full of Russians in Thailand, one of the few places they can travel, and they are a pain in the ar@e, rude and think they own the place, so be mindful of this before you book.

First impressions were not great, first room we were given, within 5 minutes we noticed the surfaces were covered in ants, not just 1 or 2, but hundreds. Also my son's bed was covered in stains and not fit for a hostel, never mind a supposed 5 star hotel. However after a phone call to request a manager up to the room, we were offered another room 2 floors up. Same category. This one was clean, however shower broken (small shower head still worked) (toilet was leaking) they were at full capacity so no more rooms available plus we were so tired, we just wanted to unpack and relax. Not much storage space for 2 people, never mind 3, one wardrobe no drawers. So basically lived out of the suitcase for the 2 weeks.
There is only 1 lift servicing this whole hotel, the lift is not air conditioned, nor is the lobby.
The pool bar is the only place to get a drink/soft drink during the day, service is extremely slow, there is no order, basically a free for all, probably needs to be more structure to this, 1 bar tender doing only cocktails, the other servicing other people soft drinks. It's not hard and could be a good feature. Although you have still got to wade into order a drink. Not really the makings of a 5 star resort. Cocktails are watered down, hardly any alcohol in the drinks. We watched the ratio of mixtures to alcohol served and they were not correct for a proper cocktail.
If you are down to the pool past 11am, you won't get a sunbed, not enough room for the amount of people at the hotel, plus they allow people to put towels down and leave them for hours on end while other people are looking for a sunbed.
Bar/Restaurant on the roof top was lovely, mainly because of the view, drinks seemed to be more professionally made there. However this only opens from 5.30pm. Food was good, service was hit or miss. One evening service was great, other evenings we waited 1.5 hour for main course and they were not even full. Waiting staff did lots of chatting between themselves. Hotel seems run down, in need of renovations. Within 1 week the ants were back, so we spoke to the maid, she came armed with bug spray from her trolley. This got rid of them for a few days then they were back, last day they were all over my son's bed, so we asked for a deep clean of the room. I couldn't wait to leave after this. Not what you expect.
The hotel is about 7 miles from Patong, the shuttle bus takes you into the centre, however with the traffic in the evenings, it took us 1 hour 15 minutes to get in for dinner. So be prepared to wait in traffic, they just can't cope with the amount of tourists. The men who are in reception taking your luggage are a credit to the hotel, very friendly, helpful, I like to end on a positive and they were it in my opinion.

Overall I feel disappointed with our stay at Kalima for the price we payed at $500 per night.
Upon arrival we did not receive a drink or refreshment although we could see everyone else given one at the front counter and we got forgotten about.
The room was nice with great views however the private pool was dirty and so warm it felt like a bath. There were days were there were all sorts of mix ups with the towels and housekeeping eg one day we got 4 towels and another we got 1 then one night after dinner we came back to the room to find a random extra doona folded up on our bed. When we call they cannot understand much English.
The main pool is nice and has an amazing sunset to watch whilst using the pool bar but it then closes very early at 6:30pm.
The breakfast is amazing and has so much variety however restaurant food and room service is very expensive and food is average.
The roof top bar and views are fantastic and great service. I would recommend this.
The mini golf, archery and beach pool is not even worth the walk up the stairs to see it let alone use it.
Overall the hotel is nice but not worth the price we paid for it.

Overall I don’t feel that this hotel is worth the money it cost.
We stayed in one of the private pool access rooms which did have great views and was very spacious with an extra large bed. The breakfast was definitely amazing and has the most selection I have ever experienced. The main pool is very nice and has amazing views for the sunset, however, the pool bar closes extremely early around 630pm and there were rarely any beds to lay on.
The new activities that are now available such as archery, mini golf and the sandy beach are barely a highlight. There was a pool table available and a kids area which looked quite good.
Everything at this hotel operates on an app. The app was handy for ordering room service and booking taxis if you need but I did find the spa booking very disappointing. I booked to have a massage at the spa and upon arrival was told that my booking was unavailable as I hadn’t confirmed in the message section of the application which was not a requirement for booking any other services.
Everything you purchase in the hotel is also automatically charged with additional costs such as service fees and VAT which needed up being an additional 16% on top of everything.
The sky deck is definitely worth the visit and has amazing views of the sunset as well as plenty of day beds/lounges to sit on.
Overall, this hotel is way out of town and very pricey for what you get. We paid close to $500 a night and I would have expected better service and consistency for the price. You also have to pay excessive taxi fees to get in and out of town as the free shuttle only runs a few times a day at set times.

We stayed at Kalima resort for 7 days and it has been nothing short of amazing. During our stay, my mum celebrated her birthday and she felt special after the restaurant staff Deedee and Noodang surprised her with a cake and singing the birthday song. Rey was also an outstanding staff and was always greeting us with a smile. We returned to our room already cleaned with a H.B.D written on the bed. She will not forget this treatment ever! A special shoutout to Kwan who did a phenomenal job cleaning our rooms every time we requested a clean. We extend our thanks to Manager Sunny who made breakfast enjoyable by going around and checking the guests. We enjoyed your conversations and your company. Our Buggy Loh as always was amazing and always checking on us. Thanks for getting our bags and also greeting us everywhere you see us.
The food is amazing, the view from L6 is mesmerizing, the staff are extraordinary. Check in was a bit delayed but the checkout process was very fast.

The hotel is wonderful, we spent 10 nights at the hotel and I can say the team are all amazing, we really have had a wonderful experience and such a great team look after us. It’s made me fall in love with Thailand. The hotel is situated on a hill side so it’s not recommended if you can’t do a few flights of stairs, it’s beautiful but I feel it could have been slightly better designed as the foyer is accessed for our room via going down a lift then down steps then up steps across a corridor then down another lift, which is fine when your fully fit also if it’s torrential raining you get soaked. The hotel provided us with beach towels , beach bag , flip flops, spa robes , spa shoes, umbrellas , shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, sewing kit, shower cap and emery board. The breakfast is best I’ve ever had, literally caters for everyone, gluten free cakes, almond milk and traditional continental, plus Thai , American and everything in between. You could have curry , sausages , passionfruit and even ice cream the list was endless. A coke/ ginger ale was 80 baht about £1.50 at hotel. The spa facilities were good and I would recommend, we were served tea and biscuits after our treatments. I went to yoga it’s free it’s ok could be better as seemed same routine and maybe a bit much unless you do yoga regularly and probably a different room as the gym noise is distracting when users clang weights. There is a free shuttle bus every 2hrs to Patong beach, just so you are aware you can’t walk anywhere safely from hotel as the road is so busy and no real pavement. Great times though and would recommend the elephant jungle sanctuary as a trip and Siam niramit as a show. Also want to thank Nui for being an outstanding maid and so thoughtful, we were unwell 1 day and the next she was asking if ok etc and always left our room immaculate. also lovely girl serving and recommending dishes in the restaurant (vegan green curry) and something to eat after Tom yum soup and a girl with trainee badge who made our trip even better. Just could have done with some more ripe avocados as the salad was amazing when it was available. I’m definitely saving to come back and I would highly recommend for a chilled out resort in the middle of nowhere with good views, amazing food and a bus or taxi ride to many other places just a short distance away.

Dear Emma C, Thank you very much for taking your time to share a wonderful experience with us. We are delighted to hear that you had a wonderful 10-night experience and that our team made a positive impression on your stay, helping you fall in love with Thailand. It’s always our aim to provide exceptional service, and we are thrilled that our efforts contributed to your memorable experience. We appreciate your feedback regarding the layout of the hotel. Being located on a hillside offers stunning views, but we understand the challenges it may pose for guests navigating the steps and lifts, especially in inclement weather. Your comments are valuable as we continuously seek ways to improve our guests' experience. We are pleased that you enjoyed the variety offered at breakfast and found our in-room amenities thoughtful and convenient. It’s great to know that you appreciated the spa treatments and the complimentary yoga sessions, and we’ll take your suggestions into consideration to enhance these offerings further. Thank you for your kind words about our staff members, especially Nui and the restaurant team. We will ensure they receive your compliments, as they take great pride in providing warm and attentive service. Your mention of the food, from the breakfast selection to the vegan dishes, is much appreciated, and we’ll work on ensuring the availability of fresh ingredients like ripe avocados. We are delighted that you plan to return, and we look forward to welcoming you back for another relaxing and enjoyable stay. Thank you again for your recommendation and for highlighting the nearby attractions that other guests may enjoy. Best Regards, Tanyaphat Raheria (Mr.) Resort Manager

A big thankyou to Nany who looked after our room she was amazing and so smiley and cheerful, every day we came back to a wonderful surprise on our bed, see photos.
The holiday had a few issues which management resolved, our initial room had a light sockets smouldering, so we had to change rooms a few times, it was resolved and we received some compensation which we spent on the spa and on an amazing Thai cooking course.
The hotel is great, it could benefit from some renovation as I believe ot is 10 years old now and a few bits need attention. There are a lot of steps to climb, so avoid this hotel if you don’t like steps.
The roof top restaurant is amazing, the views and service are 5 star.
The staff are lovely. The breakfast has everything that every nationality would ever need for breakfast lunch and evening meal!
Patong beach is a taxi ride away, about 400 baht, we walked it one day, that is not recommended! There is a shuttle bus in the day time. I would have liked the hotel to be nearer the centre but it’s above where the tsunami hit so take your pick!
The hotel has a nice infinity pool with great views and a cocktail bar in the pool.
There was a mix of Nationalities and plenty of sun beds available. A good gum, kick boxing classes. Some rooms had their own pool.

It is better room design that you can enjoy the sea view when using bath tub, which Deluxe Sea view has not.
