This guesthouse is perfect for backpackers coming to Krabi. The staff is friendly and helpful and there is an amazing little rooftop perfect for resting in the hottest hours of the day. It is also close to the pier where you can get a boat to visit the many nearby islands.

We loved staying at the Smile Guesthouse in Krabi. It has an awesome location right by the river which is nice to look at from their rooftop garden. Each room has a unique design, we stayed in Chang 22 which was painted orange and felt very modern. The room rate was also the cheapest we found in the area for...

My partner and I stayed at smile for one night when we initially arrived in Krabi, it was so relaxed, friendly and such a nice space that after staying on Tonsai for two weeks, we returned to Krabi and stayed at Smile again for two nights! There are options for basic rooms with shared bathroom or suites with private bathrooms....

Smile is basically a backpackers' place. With 9 rooms (no dorms) some are ensuite and others have a shared bathroom. It is perfect for what it is - basic, extremely friendly, quiet and run by the helpful Thiep and Patrick. Free tee, coffee and wifi add to the sense of being well cared for and really, for our first 3...

The staff at this guesthouse are very friendly and open to conversation. They were always willing to help with directions and information on taxis etc. We stayed in 2 different rooms - both were clean. They were cheap and good for budget travelers. We opted for rooms with a shared bathroom which I was skeptical about at first but it...

It's a family run hostel and the owner is a very friendly personality and a perfect source for useful information. My room was clean with the absolute necessities like bed, plugs and a shower/ toilet combo. Don't expect furniture, but who really needs this anyway ;-). Only downturn: no screw or alike to hang the mosquito net. This is really...
