The first room we were given had a used towel on one bed and foot prints on the sheets. The manager was apologetic and gave us another room. On the balcony, we found two cigarette butts on the railing and two dirty plastic chairs and table. The room itself included two beds with clean sheets and towels, a cabinet, a...

The view from all rooms over the pool and river Kwai is beautiful. The room is simple with very little furniture, but what can you exspeted for 1000 bath per night The room was clean. The first room we get had a leaking aircon, and we got a anther room with a toilettroom with the shower in front of the...

Beautiful view of the river Kwai. But that was mean nothing to this hotel! We-my wife with 2 kids and 1 small baby and myself stayed in a dirty filthy room with a very poor bathroom and no fridge. The ceiling full of cobwebs, the big black ants were crawling around including on on our baby face, lucky that my...

Beautiful view was the only redeeming feature here, not one smile but a scowl when i asked for a slice of lemon in my very weak 200 Baht G&T.For the breakfast inc in the 900bt one night deal,i chose chicken soup (after experiencing their omelette baguette, which was two egg sandwiches with cucumber) .No soup arrived, but cold fried egg on toast,when...

Spent 8 nights at this hotel, had top floor room with a great view of the pool and river. Rooms could do with a good clean but was what I expected for 1000baht a night. With a bit of work on the rooms this hotel would be the perfect place to stay. Some staff didn't seem to care about their...

Best thing about this place is the swimming pool and grounds and views over the Kwai river. The rooms are just about OK but could do with upgrading. However overall I like this place. The outside bar/restaurant area is nice with free pool table and food is not bad. Just a little more attention to the condition of the rooms...

Location, location, location. If this was the only criteria Camelia resort would recieve the highest number - BUT it is a hotel. The location directly on the banks of River Kwai is amazing. The swinnigpool great. The rooms have fantastic views, but do not necesariloy expect any water; in stead expect cockroaches and very smelly bathroom. Service is rude (actually...

Right on the river kwai-with a bit of scrubbing up this place would look five star!! The advantages-food is lovely-a whole thai menu and an english one in the pool-side restaurant. The staff aren't particularly friendly but they can arrange to get your laundry done and book massage appointments at the on-sight spa which is lovely. At night it is...

It has been a very long time since I stayed in a place that I thought was substandard. Actually only stayed one night while on a bike tour. The positives; very little. The pool area was nice. The part along the river had some great views. Did have air- con. The price is very cheap so you get what you...

We spent 2 nights at Camelia resort. As many travelers has pointed out, the resort is located just by the beautiful river or kwai, and its not too far off from the famous bridge on the river kwai and museum. The resort itself is located about 200meter from the main access road, and if you can easily miss it if...
