It really is one of the cheapest, if not the. The location is great. That's about it. All the rest is bad to average depending on which room. Beds will differ, fans could be dirty, shower might be clean. But the best pad thai is down the Rd, on the corner(the wooden tattoo place).

We stumbled across Boonbundan while looking for a place to stay in Chiang Rai. It was ok. The first double room with fan we saw which was huge but the bed had the flexibility of plywood, so it was a no go. Although for 200 baht/night it may have been worth it. The second room we saw was 2 twin...

200B for a fan room.. Clean, spacious, quiet and friendly staff! We stayed here for 4nights and it was probably the best 200B room we've had yet :) In fact we started our stay in Chiang Rai at the Akha River Guesthouse which charge 400B for there rooms, Boonbundan are the MUCH better option if you're after an affordable but...

200 bath for fan room and 300 bath for air-con is cheap for this guesthouse. In december fan is enough. Situated in a quiet area but close to bus station 1 and the bar street yet yod. There is an outdoor area where you can socialize with other guests. It is situated on the street north of Wat Yet Yod...

I liked this guesthouse. Room was clean, spacious and it had really big bathroom. Staying was really pleasant. All facilities were working properly, water was hot, wifi was good and staff was friendly. Next time I'll be in Chiang Rai, I'll definitelly stay at this guesthouse again.

We arrived to Chiang Rai for trekking. All the Agencies demanded about 2000-2500 per person. But in BoonBunDan we met Mr. Thacumfoo that was incredibly nice and connected us straight to the Akkha guide without taking any commition. We paid for a wonderful authentic trek only 850 Baht for each for 2 days which was less than a half, and...

Stayed only one night and moved on after finding out that a room that at first looked decent was in fact not so clean, that the bed was uncomfortable, and that there were bugs on the bathroom walls. You cannot expect more than a basic room for 350 B, but cleanliness and hospitality should not depend on the price range!...

The room was seriously rundown, some weird bugs/flies was all over the walls of the bathroom, we left after one night, and would definitely not go back! We, 10 people, arrived quite late, and needed 5 rooms. The cheap rooms with just a fan was all full, so we had to go for the more expensive room with AC and...

I stayed at this guesthouse twice in the span of a week. My first room's bathroom was completely ant infested but they weren't near the bed so I dealt with it. My second room was in the main building and much better. They have a cute little couch area with good wifi and the location is great. You're close to...

“Depending on the time of year, I was in the winter so no air con required in December. Some noise from the street Bars in the far back located rooms, choose ones near the street of the Guesthouse.”
