I spent two nights at the Wangcome Hotel. Coming from Chiang Mai, I went directly to the front desk for booking, scared for asking the price (the building from outside is really huge and impressive). Eventually the price was reasonable and the room clean and functional, but dated. I really like the long hallways to reach the room. The staff was...

We chose this hotel based upon availability during the Christmas holidays (we made late reservations) and due to its location (which is excellent). It is very central; just minutes walk to the clock tower or the night market or the Saturday "walking street" (outdoor market). It is close to several of the famous wat's as well. The hotel is dated....

This hotel is located in the center of Chiang Rai, 2 minutes walk to Clock Tower, and few minutes walk to some of the most visited temples/Wats in Chiang Rai. Also few minutes walk to Saturday Night Market. Though centrally located it is relatively quite. There is a free parking lot if you came like me with a rental car....

My fourth stay here. Deluxe room okay. Swimming pool not inviting. Buffet breakfast reasonable without going over the top. No bacon for westerners. Staff as usual very good. Location is as good as you can get. May try another hotel next time.

The hotel itself was very average, didn't use the pool. The staff though was extremely polite and wonderful, I had an issue really late at night and they had dealt with it right away and professionally. Staff made me feel very safe as a solo-female. This hotel is somewhere where I would definitely stay again with family and/or friends.

I have been to Chiang Rai many times. With the family we stayed at Dusit which was fine but too remote. As other reviewers say, the key to the desire to stay at Wangcome is its location. It's in an (increasingly dingy) part of Chiang Rai but near the only real action around - the strip of bars on Jed...

Chiang Rai is a beautiful place to visit with lots of greenery and the quieter neighbor of Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai is a land of outstanding natural beauty, if you are looking to avoid the hordes can visit remote hill tribes, wildlife & temples. About hotel, its a decent place to stay considering the cost. It has a swimming pool...

We stayed at the Wancong Hotel during our recent visit to Chiang Rai. This hotel is conveniently located in the center of the town. You can walk to the municipal market and night market easily. The hotel offered breakfast which was decent and had western and thai offerings. The room was simply a place to get some sleep and rest...

The unfortunate part of traveling with a group means you have zero say in where you stay. I wouldn't have selected Wangcome on my own and I certainly wouldn't stay there again. Unless you're a budget traveler searching purely for the best deal available, I say skip this hotel and look for a better option. Pros: #1 The bed linens...

The Hotels best moments are definitv over. For about 800 to 1000 THB, it would be ok, but not for the offered Price. The swimmingpool is there, but it ist not welcoming. Dark, the chairs were in a staple, nobody was there and you have to go through the Restaurant to get to the pool. The staff on the reception...
