Akha Hill House is the authentic northern Thailand experience-- immersed in village culture, waking up in a bungalow with beautiful views, adventurous trekking through the lush jungle to other villages and around, eating a variety of fresh delicious food, and living with the sweet people of the tribe to experience village life. Be prepared to live rurally in the elements...

This is far from the crowd and should not be mistaken for an hotel. I have been here for four days and am finding it hard to leave. The chalets are varied but all have hot showers and toilets (some squat, some western), the beds are OK but complaints are not unjustified (the facilities are not in their first flush...

We stayed at that hostel for 4 nights and we slept in a super nice bungalow but then changed to the dorm, because some friends were arriving and we wanted to share a room with all of them. The hostel is really simple and you should not expect a luxury trip, but the staff is super nice, the food was...

Just a simply amazing place. We got picked up in Chiang Rai with the pick up-truck and drove trough the adorable countryside, the drive was for free. The Food was very nice and compare to the city and not that much more expensive. You write all orders in a notebook and you will pay at the end of the vacation,...

The rooms are full of mould, blanket and pillow were black under sheets. Went there on a family trip to the mountains had to leave after one night. The guy who opened the door was so drunk he could barely walk.... Too bad for such a place

Somebody have stolen my mobilphone from the room. We are the only guest..and at the time where we go for dinner, somebody open the window (because we can not lock). Very bad. Kann ich nicht empfehlen. Gestern, 7.1.2017 wurde mir das Telefon aus dem Bungalow gestolen. Waren die einzigen Gäste. Die Sicherheit ist da nicht gewärleistet. Schade.

Not really a great deal of a place except if you go there to do day treks in the forest nearby. Rooms are basic but adequate. If not expecting much, the the place is great. The area is good for day trek, there is a huge waterfall nearby.

My boyfriend and I initially booked this homestay for two weeks to volunteer with the Education Project. We had little to no responses from the company and when we showed up we were taken for free from the river house to the hill house. After the 45 min journey with beautiful views we were asked by the driver if we...

This place is a great place but after paying for a "VIP" room with air-con and a table and chairs we weren't really happy with the bamboo hut and fan which we ended up with. Agoda wouldnt offer us any refund either. The staff seem nice if a little over relaxed. Overall we enjoyed our stay but it was tinted...
