We had a very nice stay eventhough it was only for one night. Very nice houses with a wonderful bathroom and a comfortable bed. Everything was clean. Good service at the bar and with entertainment at the pool Area. Very nice dinner and breakfast. We Can highly recommend this lodge.

Very comfortable room, and adequate facilities. We stayed one night only prior to our kilimanjaro climb. Would be happy to stay again. Dinner in the restaurant was reasonable value, and breakfast was plentiful.

The rooms were great, the owner/manager was very hands on & went out of her way to make everyone feel at home. The food was very good, the beer was reasonably priced, & the wine was excellent. I would definitely go back.

Overall, very good experience. Very professional and courteous staff and management, and that matters the most to me. Very pleasant being in bungalows. You can hear the exotic birds all around. A real treat for this nature traveler. Only cons: Wifi in the rooms was weak. Better to do any Internet surfing in one of the common areas. The bunglows...

Very nice resort, friendly staff, good food. Perhaps Moshi is closer to start/finish a Kilimanjaro ascent but if you then travel domestically in Tanzania or do a safari it is a better location. Not the most convenient solution if you want to explore Arusha by yourself on foot as it is not very close to the center

This was our home base while doing safaris in the north. The staff are wonderful. We felt like family by the time we left. We stayed here 13 years ago, and will definitely stay again if we return to Tanzania. This is a charming local hotel. Not a Chain so do not expect a north american hotel. Rooms are simple...

From the moment we arrived at the lodge we were treated like family. The lodge is beautiful, but the Ilboru Team are amazing. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and happy. From the food, to happy hour dancing, to the entertainment - we enjoyed all of it. I even got in a late night bocce...

We loved staying at Ilboru Safari Lodge. It is an oasis in Arusa with lovely grounds, charming dining and common areas and large and well kept rooms. The staff were gracious and the food fresh and well prepared.

“The rooms are pretty plain jane. Though there was a comfortable queen bed with mosquito netting and a small desk, other furniture was scarce, e.g. no chair or sofa and there was nowhere in the bathroom to put any toiletries, not even a toothbrush. Only two bottles of water provided per day and they were the smallest of any of the places we stayed over three weeks. There were two deck chairs but no table to put between them, and you couldn't use them in the evening due to bugs. ”
