There are some quirks here that we weren't keen on - the floor in the shower was very uneven and we thought the glass bottles containing shower gel etc could be potentially dangerous. The hot water didn't work although it was sorted out by the next morning. Not sure about the padlock on the door either. However, helpful staff and...

Arrived late from safari with tired and grumpy kids. There was confusion over the room booking (possibly not the fault of the lodge) which took a while to sort out. We went straight to the restaurant, which was empty and had limited menu with prices in dollars! Rooms are eco style and small for families. Night times are noisy, with...

This lodge was a good place to rest after a long flight to Tanzania. I arrived very late at night and the staff was friendly and accommodating. As mentioned by other guests, the barking dogs could be an issue but I slept through most of it. I still would rather have the barking dogs than the noise around downtown Arusha's...

Nice place for a first night after a long journey to Tanzania. Rooms are on stilts and very pretty... It is reasonably basic though. The service was friendly enough. There was a big group when we were there which may have impacted on service overall...the food was delicious although they'd run out of all but one of the menu options....

We stayed here for one night on our way to safari and we had a magnificent stay. The lodges are beautiful with amazing views. The food and service were all top notch. Woke up to the fantastic sounds of the mountain was such a wonderful experience. Loved it and would highly recommend these lodges for a wonderful luxurious glamping experience.

I stayed one night. Lodge is very small but nice. Bed was comfy and shower was hot. Electricity worked fine. All night -- till 3 am a club or bar had very loud music at the town below the lodge. Then at 5 am the Muslim prayer service started in the town with very loud music. Then dogs barked till...

I have been staying at Karama Lodge off and on since 2000 and love it. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting. Monkeys jump in the trees above each bungalow-style room. The central eating area inside and out is clean and lovely. It is an affordable option for those of us wanting to be "in town" on the East side of...

I stayed here for one night on the recommendation of a friend. The room was 'rustic', fine if you like that kind of thing I guess. Breakfast was poor quality and I was awoken very early by a lot of noise from neighbouring religious buildings - this is because the design of the rooms allow outside noise to penetrate. The...
