We were here at the end of August. I chose the camp for its proximity to the crater floor - hoping to avoid some of the congestion if we got there early in the morning. Much better to stay anywhere inside the gates than out! The tents were very nice and the staff were super friendly and attentive! The only... More

Although we only had 1 night at Ang'ata Camp we found it to be exactly what we were looking for. As a family of four we had found it difficult to find a camp that was comfortable yet conveniently located to the Crater, this however ticked all the boxes. Spacious tents with two separate bathrooms and a lot of room... More

The staff at this camp is really what makes the difference! We felt immediately welcome and well looked after. The food was delicious and the tent was the perfect amount of ruggedness and luxury. Extra blankets that were provided were definitely appreciated on our cold crater nights! Thank you!

We stayed in Ang'Ata Camp Ngorongoro booked through our Safari Company Shadows Of Africa. I loved it. It is a small tented camp set on the ridge of the Ngorongoro crater in the middle of the wilderness. Tents: Tents are luxury tents with sink, toilet and shower. Bed is very comfortable and soooo nice to come back to after dinner.... More

Located in the trees up near the rim of the crater the camp gets pretty cold (Which our drivers hated, but after a week on safari we thought it was quite nice!). They have plenty of blankets and there were hot water bottles in the beds at night. The camp itself hasn't got all the mod cons, with showers needing... More

We had just come from a paradise of a tented camp in the Serengeti so the bar was pretty high, but this place was fantastic. The bathroom was spacious and (for a tent) very well equipped. The climate was much different than the one we had just come from (read: COLD) but the camp was very well prepared. I had... More

such a lovely few days and evenings here at camp...every person we came in contact with was heartful and hospitable. one of my favorite days of my 21 day trip was staying at camp with my mother...I hand washed clothes with Gerald and had a lovely chat about he and his wife and life in general. I cooked with chef... More

We stayed here one night early last month and were the only ones at camp! What a pleasant stay it was. The tent was not like a tent at all - quite nicely furnished, with an en suite bathroom. The staff were very welcoming, the food really good, the location was perfect for us. As it got cold that night... More
