stayed for a few nights with my wife, before and after Kili trek. the place is beautiful, calm oasis in bustling Arusha. the owner very friendly and can help with local advice and contacts (Sander facilitated excellent Mt Meru guide, for example). the rooms are very spacious and nice, overlooking the green nature below. Food in restaurant very decent and...

We spent two nights and one day here to catch our breath after a long flight to Tanzania. The little houses are very cute, provide a big, comfortable bed with mosquito net and big bathroom. The private balconies provide a great view over the valley. The staff is really friendly and enjoyable and very much willing to help. The breakfast...

Booked 3 night stay here while on holiday in Tanzania with family. First of all, the property location is beautiful with amazing landscaping and views of Mt. Meru and Mt. Kilamanjaro. However, the cottage we stayed in was terrible. Very outdated and not well take care of. Appears the management/ownership is off site and regular upkeep is not a priorit....

Dear Kelli, Yes we do remember and sincerely regret you we're disappointed with your stay at Kigongoni Lodge! Thanks for your nice words about our place. While you supposed to stay for three nights you already checked out in the very early morning. I spoke with your husband on the phone then. He informed me that overall it was not...

The lodge and individual chalets are very pretty. We had a triple and the layout of the bathroom was terrific. We also had access to a great view of the mountains, marred, unfortunately, by the fog. Our breakfast was very good (loved the egg cups). In addition, the staff was extremely helpful and accommmodating. Some minor complaints: our room had...

Its a small authentic african style lodge. We loved it. The location within a forest was peaceful. We saw monkeys and the kids were excited to start their safaris like that. The room was very big and the bathroom too . Breakfast was great . The sitting area cosy with a fire place. I strongly reccomend it. Its a good...

We have been there just one night but it was more than enough: in one room we found escrements (gieko or mouse...who knows?), no water in the pipes (we had to climb and ask to the reception to open, they don't have telephones in the room to communicate). Mosquito nets with holes and, best of the best... the Manager that...

Dear Stefano, I am very sorry about your complete dissatisfaction with Kigongoni Lodge. During our talk I already agreed with you that these issues should not occur for which I did apologize, and offered you complementary drinks during your stay. But maybe at the time you were too tired and upset. As you must be aware our staff fixed the...

Lovely location on a hillock just outside Arusha. Quiet, private and safe. Beautiful relaxing tropical gardens around the chalets and a nice looking pool. On the day we were there no views because it was cloudy. The chalets are large detached with giant comfortable beds. Good facilities with shower, bath, safe, etc. No wifi in the rooms. The restaurant food...

This lodge was a great start to our trip. Located 30+ mins from Kilimanjaro Airport and on the way to Tarangerie. The staff was very accommodating even though we arrived late at night. Made sure to get us food and water upon arrival. Rooms are very clean and the whole place sets a great vibe for a trip to Tanzania.

This is a charming hotel situated in a coffee plantation, on top of a hill with lovely views of Mt Kilimanjaro and Meru. Hotel is 40-45 minute drive from Kilimanjaro airport. I visited the Kigongoni lodge in the summer of 2015 with my family. I've enjoyed my stay very much. There was a great variaty of safaris to do. We went to Arusha National park, Tarangire and Serengeti. Each was different to the others in terms of animals seen and also the surroundings. Every day you see something new. The lodge...
