ABA was fine for a budget hotel in Arusha. The one power point in the room was a bit dodgy but we managed to get it working eventually. The TV didn't have a lot of the channels tuned in and they didn't have a remote for the TV so we couldn't tune it. The rooms and the bathroom were a...

ABA is a great hotel to stay at if you are on a budget. We did not find any other comparable hotels at the same price range. ABA has comfortable beds, free internet, satellite tv, good food and very friendly staff. My tv was not working and to my surprise a new tv was brought to my room in less...

ABA was a great budget hotel. The staff was friendly and always welcoming. We stayed there several times during our stay in Arusha and found it to be a clean, nice, quiet hotel centrally located. There was internet in the restaurant and satellite television in the room. I would recommend ABA as a no frills, budget hotel.

This place is one of the friendliest hotels I have every stayed in anywhere! From the moment we enquired to our second visit when all the staff including Chef Simon helped us with our luggage. The owner Alfred was very professional and welcomed feedback even to the point of letting us make up a menu for Simon who performed expertly,...

My stay was recommended by a travel agent from Mwanza. The stay was great. It was very cheap. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. 2 things are very important during a stay in Tanzania, Arusha. 1. Cheapness. 2. Security I felt very secure in my room. The lock was not great but ok. I left money on my desk...

The ABA Hotel staff are friendly, helpful and bilingual. They work hard to please their guests so if you need something just ask. The food is tasty and the portions are ample. There is a great view of Mount Meru from the restaurant balcony and from rooms on the upper floors. I have stayed here several times over the past...

When you've been to Africa a number of times and tried different budget accommodations you learn how to appreciate hot and watery showers (NO cold-ish drip-drips or bucket showers), central location (downtown Arusha), included breakfast (fresh fruits, bread, eggs, juice, coffee/tea), cheap rates (15USD/night), friendly and helpful staff. And all of this I found at ABA Hotel. On top of...

My wife and I stayed in ABA as we passed through Arusha on our way for a Serengeti safari. The most redeeming feature was its proximity to the bus station (still a decent walk) for the price. However otherwise staying there was a thoroughly disappointing experience. We ended up changing rooms 3 times upon arrival as the first hadn't been...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Despite Arusha’ proximity to the Equator, the climate is surprisingly pleasant with an average temperature of 25 degrees Celsius. Situated 1400m above sea level on the Southern slopes of Mount Meru, even the humidity is kept at bay, not only making the ABA Hotel a tranquil getaway in the middle of some of nature’s most spectacular scenery, but a place where you can really put your feet up and find your grounding again. We also have Travel Service office.
