What a wonderful place this is, it was our third visit and it was just as good as ever. It's like you just relax and the atmosphere soaks into you. Great staff, Joel, Harold, Rama and the rest. The rooms were beautiful and the lovely cleaning ladies came in every day. The food was fresh and beautifully cooked, just lovely....

Ngare Sero Lodge is in a beautiful setting near Arusha. Lush gardens and a pond encourage great birding, which was the point of my visit. Lots of good birds seen. The room was clean but very dark. The lighting was so low I needed a headlamp just to brush my teeth. To turn on the shower, one needed to be...

I've been visiting Ngare Sero over many years, and watched it develop and revive into the classic, thoughtful and outstanding place that really deserves its great reputation. The staff are so good! The food is lovely. The ambience is homely and a perfect place to rejunvenate. This is one of my favourite hotels in the world: the gardens, pool, rabbit...

Excellent service, the staff at Ngare Sero are extremely kind and very professional. The lodge is located far from the city and is a great get away from all the chaos and noise. The lodge covers a large area, very green and full of nature. The best part of our stay was the tour of the lodge; the river, trout...

I had a solo stay here post safari and it could not have been more perfect. The room was well appointed, comfortable and quiet, plus the laundry service is ridiculously inexpensive and fast. The grounds are beautiful with lots of activities available, including several walks, a pool and croquet. And if you just feel like relaxing there are several perfect...

As a resident of Arusha I have been here many times. It is my favourite place in the Arusha region. The property is stunning. There is a massive pool set in the most beautiful gardens. You can sit out with a drink and watch the colobus monkeys jumping through the trees and if you are lucky you can see Kili...

We spent 1 night at Ngare Sero before heading out for 11 days on safari, and then got a room for the afternoon on our last day in country before an evening return flight. Our safari outfitter recommended the day room, and it was a great idea -- after days in the bush, we really appreciated a good shower, a...

Our family just stayed for two nights at Ngare Sero following a three week Tanzanian safari. What a perfect spot to relax and revel in the beauty of the region! Several of us went on a daylong excursion to the crater in the National Park and saw gorgeous wildlife while I stayed at the property to enjoy one of the...

Ngare Sero is a lovely family-owned lodge set on beautiful forest acreage between the Kilimanjaro airport and Arusha town. Arusha National Park is close at hand. The lodge boasts a charming old main house, ten or so rooms and a charming pool cottage. Meals are wonderful and presented with care. There is a gorgeous small lake hosting numerous exotic birds,...

Ngare Sero is situated on an incredibly gorgeous property. It's a magical forest on a lake with trees and gardens covering the property. Monkeys jump from tree to tree. Horses graze in the gardens. Countless species of birds and cranes fly over the lagoon. Rabbits farm, trout farm, wilderness walks, and vegetable gardens. The food is delectable. Even breakfast seems...

Set in lush gardens amid forest and crystal clear waters on the slopes of Mount Meru, Ngare Sero Mountain Lodge is a wonderful place to relax and simmer in the immense beauty of East Africa. The Lodge has been adapted from an early colonial farmhouse built in the early 20th century and it is one of the oldest family lodges in Arusha. It offers only 10 garden rooms, 2 main house suites and pool cottage with 2 bedrooms, and provides personal service for its residents since 1974. Here you can spend the days amid nature, watching the changing colors of the Kilimanjaro glaciers while sipping drinks on the verandah or hiking in the forest inhabited by colobus and Sykes monkeys as well as hundreds of small animal and bird species.
