My wife and I stayed with Paul and Erika at Twiga Lodge for a couple days before starting our self-drive with Shaw Safaris from Arusha to the Serengeti. Twiga Lodge is located in the foothills of Mt. Twiga lodge has an excellent location, close to the entrance of arusha national park. The owners, Erika and Paul are excellent hosts, and the lodge is beautiful, comfortable, with excellent food. A lovely start to our holiday.

We stayed at Twiga at the end of our travels last year and couldn't wait to return to such idyllic surroundings with delightful hosts. I was so very happy to return again to Twiga Lodge on the 29th Aug. Paul and Erica have become great friends and to stay in their beautiful lodge and enjoy their company sitting on the veranda looking out over their gorgeous garden is a real treat. Fantastic time at Twiga Lodge. Arrived very late (2.30am) to a great welcome from Paul & Erica (even at that time) - set the scene for rest our our stay. Next day was a great mix of late breakfast, frisbee & rounders (with Paul !) in the lovely gardens, and a walk thru villages and farms with Christopher, head gardener....
