Twiga Lodge and Shaw Safaris provided the base for our guided safari through Tarangire NP, The Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, Serengeti NP and Lake Manyara NP in June 2016. We couldn't fault Erika and Paul from Shaw Safaris. Thanks to their efforts, we had an incredible experience which exceeded our expectations in every way. We were a family group of...

This is an amazing property and Paul and Erika treat you like you are long lost family! I do not think I have stayed with friendly people in my lifetime!! The lodge is beautifully unique and Erika's cooking is out of this world. The property is huge and has a tower where you can look into the adjacent national park....

Myself and friends spent three weeks in Tanzania beginning and ending at Twiga Lodge/Shaw Safaris. We enjoyed a self drive holiday using one of their Landrovers and whilst we saw many amazing things the time spent at Twiga lodge and with Paul and Erika Sweet made our holiday even more special. Paul and Erika and their team are fantastic hosts...

Erika and Paul Shaw from Twiga Lodge made the major contribution to the unforgetable success of our self-driving experience in Tanzania. First of all, the friendly welcome by Walter, the driver, who - after an unpleasant flight from Germany - took us to the hidden paradise, the Twiga lodge. Then the familiar welcoming, the comfortable rooms, the great kitchen, operated...

If you want a different and even more exotic African experience, try a self drive safari! The Twiga Lodge is an excellent place to start. Enjoy your stay in this beautiful place and rent a Shaw Safaris Landrover equipped with everything you need for self driving and camping in the bush. We especially liked the roof top tents that were...

Our sincere thanks to Paul, Erika and the rest of the staff for a wonderful stay at this cozy and intimate lodge.. A better start and ending of our self-drive "expedition" in Tanzania we couldn't dream of.. The warm reception, combined with the professionalism in providing camping safaris secured our journey from beginning to end.. Highly recomended!

I was with a group of 82 women cycling through Tanzania raising money for cancer. This was where we stayed for two nights. It was also a camping site, where tents were pitched on the luscious green lawns under trees. There is a lovely pool area outside the main building. As it is situated on a main through road it...
