We stayed here the night before our climb. The rooms were comfortable, the plumbing worked well, the food was good... Where they really shine is their service though. The owner helped us find places, and most importantly stored our bags for us for a week at no extra charge.

By other lodge standards, it does not rate in my choices. Room ( Tembo ) I found spacious but the bed was too high from the ground and one could not sit on the beds edge due to the bed frame keeping the mattress in place. Shower splashed everywhere and had to ask for a floor mat so not to...

I can't recommend Pamoja. It is not a terrible hotel all in all but it certainly isn't worth the price they charge ~$30-40. Basically if you're paying that much stay across the road at The Outpost Lodge for the same price but nice food, staff, great rooms, loads of atmosphere and a lovely pool. Pros: hot shower, large rooms, nice...

I stayed at Pamoja for 3 nights this week and was very happy with the service I received. George was very friendly and I was happy to help him set up a Google+ account! The room perfectly adequate for my needs, a big comfortable bed, shower with hot water and even a fridge (not something I needed!). The mosquito net...

Stayed here for three days and was satisfied with the service and accommodations. They are on the pricey side for price conscious folk but still workable with. The extras like meals and drinks are rather exorbitant but the whole experience was a good one. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating.

Horribly over-priced and falling apart at the seams. The room was dark, the mosquito net was broken and the TV didn't work. This is just one of many places in the area that preys on gullible safariing westerners, charging much higher prices than other hotels in the area aimed at local Tanzanians. To add insult to injury when confronted on...

We were in Tanzania for a total of one month and covered all the usual suspect activities - mountain trekking, volunteering and safari. After each of our three excursions, we returned to Pamoja to regroup, repack and readjust. And each time, Boniface and George scheduled the same spacious and airy room next to the pool, Tembo. We viewed several rooms...

Nice layout and well-sized rooms. Good hot showers and clean bathrooms. Pool and garden area is very pleasant. Excellent staff. Buffet breakfast has various food and fruit each day, the a la carte menu is a bit hit and miss.

We stayed in lodge for three nights as part of a safari trip. Your experience with this lodge is probably depends on what you expect from it. If you plan only your sleeping hours there, this lodge is probably ok but you want to spend more hours there, you must know this is probably a 2-star accommodation (but probably still...

This review is LONG overdue. I was at Pemoja in January, staying there on either side of a 7 day hike up Mt Kilimanjaro. I became very ill on the last day of our hike and had to be evacuated to a hospital, not arriving in Arusha until very late in the night. When Pemoja manager Boniface and concierge George...
