The African Tulip is a lovely property which we have stayed at several times. When we first started coming on safari I guess I expected accommodations in Africa would be bare bones. That is not true at all, no matter if you are here in the city or in the bush. There are always a variety of accommodations to select...

Room was comfortable, but shower drainage needs improving. Good customer service. Food was terrible here, especially the breakfast buffet that looks recycled. Worst of all was when we had dinner there, the waitress ask whether we want to keep our tomato sauce (I dipped into it a few times and we were close to finishing our meal), then I saw...

Dear Guest Thank you for sharing your feedback on this forum. Infact it is our desire to ensure that each and every client of ours enjoys their stay at The African Tulip. But we have fallen short in your case and I sincerely apologize from our whole team of African Tulip Hotel. As it is a very serious matter of...

I recently spent seven non-consecutive nights at the African Tulip, and felt very comfortable there. My rooms were unexpectedly spacious, with a good firm king bed, a large shower (with great water pressure) and a cozy window seat for reading and watching the sunrise. The staff are extraordinarily helpful and friendly, taking their cue from the manager, who always seemed...

Well having never been to Tanzania I was not sure what to expect. Since I was on a university program trip we had a lot of one and two night stays all over. I would have to say this hotel was the best we stayed at for clean comfort and food as a combination. Most hotels could manage one of...

I really, really wish I could have stayed at this perfect little hotel for a lot longer! Unfortunately, I arrived late in the evening, and had to depart early the next morning. But I was there long enough to take a good look around. It is beautifully decorated, and welcoming from the moment you enter the property. The lobby is...

The African Tulip was more than fantastic! We arrived without my husband's luggage and they were more than helpful by providing us toiletries and even a polo shirt for my husband to wear. One of our duffle bags had a hole in it and we requested tape to patch it but they thought sewing it was the better option...Talk about...

I spent a couple of days in Arusha and stayed at the African Tulip hotel. It was a lovely hotel with lovely hotel rooms, and great tasting food! I recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Arusha. I visited with a high-school classmate who lives in Arusha and he stated he and his wife will go here to have a...

We stayed at the African Tulip in Arusha several times pre and post our Kilimanjaro climb and Safari. It was a fantastic retreat to rest our heads after long travel from America, a 7-day climb on Kilimanjaro, and after our 6 day Safari. The rooms were extremely comfortable including a reliable hot shower and AC! We were greeted with friendly,...

Stayed here just one night before heading off to safari, but was really stunned by the beauty. The room was very comfortable and staff polite. The highlight was probably the restaurant, which is actually built around a baobab tree. Tip: don't expect to walk a lot around Arusha, street touts (locals call them ticks) are very annoying and don't understand...

from the time you walk in to when you leave, the service is impeccable. We were even upgraded to the suite after our successful mt. Kilimanjaro climb and everyone we encountered congratulated us! The food was amazing, the beds were comfy, everything was clean. Could not have asked for a more lovely hotel!
