Got a suite for a very bargain price. Exit 8(? With escalator) of formosa boulevard station is recommended for travellers with large luggage. Bathroom has separate shower area and bathtub. Water takes a while to heat up. Aircon airflow direction has to manually adjust. Poor TV selections.

I am a frequent traveller but I would classify my stay at Kung Shang Design Hotel as one of my favourites. It is elegant, wonderful, beautiful and fabulous. Each room has its own theme and design - very big and spacious, clean and beautiful. Our room is casino themed and the center piece is the magnificent mahjong table.I booked a...

Nice hotel, rooms are extremely big, interesting design. Bathroom is also big with 2 big windows, separate shower cabin and bath. Breakfast was not bad. Hotel is highly recommended considering convenient access to subway (5 min. Walking).

We stayed 3 nights in the Red Riding Hood family suite on the 6th floor as an 'upgrade' after we found ourselves in a cigarette smoke-scented room on checking into our originally booked non-themed suite. The process of changing our room was fairly smooth and we liked the replacement suite we got. The room was tiled throughout, spacious, compartmented into...

We stayed here for one night. It's a very good hotel with big rooms and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful to find our way around the area. The location of the hotel is very central, there's a metro stop close to it and you can visit the tourist night market by foot.

We stayed at Kung Shang Design Hotel from 19th to 23 June 2016, and were very impressed with how big their rooms are! Each themed room is about 66 sqm, with a living area, PS3 gaming (or WII), L'occitane shower and shampoo (and they even provided conditioner and body lotion!). The rooms were the biggest so far, in this price...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Located on the crossroad of Linsen 1st Rd. and Qixian Rd. in the downtown of Kaohsiung City, Kung Shang Design Inn is a six-star artistically-designed inn. Designed with multiple elements while extending the idea of liberal arts culture of Kaohsiung city, we sincerelywelcome our guests to experience the Kaohsiung style hospitality and fine arts. There's no clear boundary between art and design, and southern Taiwan indeed has a hint of nostalgic and traditional culture. The rapid development of Kaohsiung's culture and transportation in the recent years has indeed attracted many foreign tourists whodwell here and actually feel the cultural and arts development of southern Taiwan. What's more, the Kaohsiung-born people who have been working outside the city have a totally new aspect of their hometown. ... more   less

“If booking a designer room, make sure you request which one you want, I ended up paying extra just to have a Nintendo wii in my room that i never used when what I wanted was a race car bed.”

“Book a deluxe suite instead of a junior suite as it is just a few hundred NT dollars more but you get 4 pyeongs more in terms of space. Also, ask for a higher floor room for a spectacular view of this port city!”
