BnB is located at foot of Liyu Mountain, in Shoufeng Township's Chinan Village, 18 km from Haulien City. Owner Mr Cheung picked me up from at Haulien City train station. The owner couple is very friendly, and devoted to their business. Very friendly owners as it is family run. Great to see even the 2 year old grand daughter is involved, they stay just updates. Joe the owner is very helpful and serves great coffee. Good quiet location, a 15min walk to Liyu Lake, which we did boat peddling, cycling and saw fireflies by the lake at night.

Visited this last July 26 with my family... There are 2 parts to the garden, the Japanese garden DVD the main garden with Monet's house. The latter one is nicer. The placebos crowded with a lot of tourists. One thing with this tourist spot is that when one takes the tour with a group, the bus parks a bit far...

After a hectic New Year in Taipei, we followed recommendations from friends to take a peaceful rural break around Lake Liyu, chez Mr Zhang. From start to finish this was the perfect stay for my 30 year-old son and I. Mr Zhang picked us up at the station with his delightful grandchildren and made helpful itinerary suggestions as we made...

If you're after that out of the way, unique and friendly acommodation then look no further than here. It may not be 5 star luxurious rooms, they do what they need to. Comfortable beds, good water pressure with constant heat and refrigeration. We came in midweek which was not busy so the staff were willing to bend over backwards with...

Monet Garden was a perfect retreat in Lake Liyu. The staff were extremely attentive and catered to our every request (e.g., providing safe storage for our bikes, serving up custom teas and coffees, providing recommendations for things to do, and letting us enjoy the beautiful patio area beyond their standard closing time). Conveniently located (just a short walk into the...

I stayed here with my parents and sister, sharing two double beds. The place is well-maintained and clean. The frontyard was also nicely landscaped with a nice koi pond and the two very iconic pet geese of Mr Zhang. Mr Zhang was a great host, who offered us advice on what could be done around the area and food options....

This was our last stop on our cycling trip of the east coast. They were really good with us when we arrived and let us store the bikes up on the balcony outside our room. The room itself was clean and comfortable. The bed was nice, soft and comfortable which was fantastic. The bed at Monet meant I had a...

This review is long overdue. We were at this quaint B&B in the chilly month of Nov, with 2 young children and my parents. Joe and his lovely wife went completely out of their way to make us feel comfortable and even ferried us around the area, prepared the most delicious freshly caught fish together with a lavish meal for...
