Hotel is in true essence of colonial style. Very authentic with modern touches. Privacy and attention to service is superb. Food is very good however it can be taken to next level. One of my favorite places.

Our stay at the Amangalla hotel was an absolute pleasure. We were welcomed by a lovely young lady called Nelum. Audrey Schallhauser the manageress came out of her office to greet us a really positive start. Our suite and personal butler were both excellent. The hotel has a colonial feel with a large verandah where one can enjoy superb western...

This Hotel was just simply stunning with the understated elegance that wraps you in warm hospitality. I loved the old colonial feel to it and we thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea - the service was as you would expect for the Aman group. The rooms are incredibly airy and spacious - a delight to return to after an afternoon exploring...

We were treated like family by Audrey and all of the staff, who made sure we truly enjoyed their hospitality. This is a lovely hotel and the warm welcoming staff, ambience and service are to be commended. It was a treat in our Sri Lankan tour and if there were not so many places in the world to visit we would...

We stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved it, but just came away feeling it was all a bit too 'corporate' compared to other places we had stayed on our trip. The hotel itself is stunning and we loved the setting so close in to town and eating on the veranda watching the world go by. You can literally...

There are many wonderful things about the Amangalla and will list these first. 1. Beautiful property. The grounds and the rooms are lovely and wonderfully preserved. We were upgraded to the Chamber room as the fan in our Bedroom category room wasn't working. Warning that the Bedroom room we had overlooking the Dutch Church felt a little small, and somewhat...

Amangalla is a beautiful hotel in the historic part of Galle, almost inviting you to travel in time... The dining room is open to the street, which although a little noisy sometimes (but no huge traffic!), is a good thing when the temperature hits the mid 30 degrees centigrade. The pool is stunning with cosy beds and extensive pool menu,...

7 of us turned up ready to enjoy an Aman experience for High Tea. Having met no one but delightful locals everywhere we have ventured since arriving a week ago we were met with resistance when we asked to sit in inside rather than on the verandah due to heat, traffic noise and the fact we wanted to enjoy the...

We stayed overnight and it was indeed a great experience . The ambiance and the food was great. Bit costly for locals but once again great stay. Staff were friendly and the walks along the narrow roads of ancient galle fort took us back in time.
