A very warm welcome. Rooms nice but the highlight is the roof top terrace. You can watch the sunset and see Galle from the highest point. If you don't stay here, consider the fort. Food good. Service good.

A nice small hotel set on a hill top with a magnificient view of Galle Town, Galle Fort and Galle Habour. Very friendly and warm staff, good food. The location and the main building has historical significance. Talk to the staff and they would be glad to explain. You feel a serene tropical envrionment as you walk through the entrace....

Lady Hill gave us a very warm welcome. While the room was small it was comfortable & the white decor & furnishings did make it appear less cramped. The rooftop restaurant is a pleasant space to be in as guests get both daytime & night views of Galle. A walk into town is easy (downhill) but I would suggest a...

I'm not quite sure why this hotel has got a few bad reviews. The rooms were small but very modern and light. It was a little scuffed round the edges but nice and clean. The view from our balcony was impressive and the staff, especially the manager, were helpful and accomodating. The main attraction is the restaurant above which as...

Stayed one night over a weekend. This place is inland from Galle and on a hill - it's a moderately steep climb if you are walking to the hotel from the bus/train station. The Galle Fort area, where there are plenty of dining options and tourist attractions is 5 minutes by three wheel taxi. The reception and waiting areas are...

Stayed in this hotel for a couple of days with my family of 3. Set on a small hillock? The hotel roof top provides a beautiful view of the Galle town, Fort, Port and the sea..... That's the best part of the hotel....one can sit and enjoy the evenings with the amazing view, having a few pegs or eating the...

Our tour group spent a night here while in Galle. Great views over the city and beach especially from the rooftop restaurant. The rooms are small but clean and have all the modern facilities. Bathroom is ok but the shower alcove is fully enclosed and a but claustrophobic! Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant were delicious and service very good.

On top of a hill overlooking Glle, this is a well-located boutique hotel. Nice reception area with a lot of water and fish. The people were friendly, but all explanation was also bit in a hurry (notwithstanding the fact that we were the only guests around at that moment). This resulted in the fact that they did not explain us...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled atop the highest point of the ancient port city of Galle sits the Lady Hill Hotel, where you will be overwhelmed by the breathtaking and panoramic “Bird’s Eye View” of the lush green countryside stretching from the tea covered slopes of the Southern foothills all the way down to merge with the brilliant blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Located in close proximity to the city’s pulsating heart and to some of the best beaches in the Island, yet secluded enough to offer a measure of tranquility and serenity, that the discerning traveler eagerly looks forward to after a weary bout of sightseeing and exploration. Thereby, adhering to the watchwords “Lose yourself in the Experience and not in the Crowd”.Entering the portals of the Lady Hill, one is treated to an architectural edifice, echoing the legacy of the ancient Colonial Dutch period, from the imposing entrance archway, down to the natural cobblestone floor. However, as you progress through the lobby, where you will be greeted with the traditional Sri Lankan welcome of “AYUBOWAN”, which translates as “May You Have Long Life”, you notice a subtle but appreciative change in the conceptual idea. You will be ushered to your room via a rustic granite stone stairway, flanked by a strip of fresh water fish ponds and upon entering your room, will be amazed to find that you have been transported from the past into the future within the space of a few short ticks of the clock. The rooms are furnished with ultra modern futuristic style décor and posses state of the art facilities and amenities which are all that you, as an honored guest, could possibly hope for. ... more   less
