My wife and I booked 2 nights. We were completely taken by the absolute beauty and tranquility of the surrounding. The house is wonderfully decorated and clean. The staff are very welcoming efficient and helpful. I am not a Yoga person but I was intrigued by the method used (Aerial Yoga) so I decided to join my wife and try...

A pristine tea plantation with a landscaped garden opened up when we drove up the driveway. The 3 storey house was very elegantly appointed, it had a surreally tranquil and yet homey feel to it. Our room (four poster bed, no less!) awaited us, air conditioned, the cool air aromatically infused. The nearest town was at least some 15km away...

What an amazing place. Perched atop a tea plantation, Niyagama House really is a world apart from anything else you will ever experience. Where do I start? The service - WOW. The team was so polite, so helpful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. They always serve with a smile, and as cliched as it sounds...

We spent 3 nights at this special place in the tea plantation area. We cannot describe how beautiful the house and location is. We recommend everyone to stay here and hire their driver to take you to see the surrounding sites and Galle centre, which is only 20mins away. If you don't like 24hrs of hustle bustle, busy and noisy...

I spent two nights in this quaint, serene sanctuary and was ever so grateful to have done that. This stylish, tastefully decorated and spacious boutique hotel is tucked away on the hill away from the hubbub of the busy Galle Fort. It has a team of friendly staff who made me feel very welcome and at home. The hotel offers...

Niyagama house led by German architect and yoga instructor Elke and her Sri Lankan husband is a small piece of heaven to be found in the tea plantation of Niyagama. I can wholeheartedly recommend spending a few days there as the serene surroundings, lush green nature, exceptional service and hospitality make you want to stay forever. The house itself-designed in...

My husband and I started our vacation with some much needed rest and relaxation at the Niyagama house. Our expectations were exceeded on every level. It is a beautiful resort nestled in a luxuriously remote part of Galle. The food was excellent, we enjoyed the yoga with Elke, and everyone is helpful and kind. I strongly recommend staying here. Location Fabulous colonial style 7 room boutique hotel, fantastic location with beautiful grounds within a small tea plantation. Not the easiest place to find and extra sign posts with km distance on the very small lanes would be beneficial. Lovely pool. It is primarily a retreat with yoga packages on offer which is the reason I booked it as my...
