We found this homestay on Booking.com the day before. It was a great find. We arrived to be greeted by the son was really friendly and taken to our room. It was adequate for a few nights. Very clean. No air conditioning but a large ceiling fan which did the job. Garden area was beautiful. But beware lots of mosquitoes due to the property being on a river. There were monkeys in the garden which we loved to see but not good for the family as they had eaten all the mangos, bananas and coconuts. The family were very welcoming and friendly. You can buy cold drinks. The breakfast was included in the price. Freshly squeezed fruit juice toast jam and any form of egg you wanted. Omelette was lovely. Tea and coffee. They have a tuk tuk and he will do you a boat safari both payable. The home is only a 5min tuk tuk ride from the railways station and Galle Fort.…
This is situated very close to The Galle City just on the main Road. Very flexible and humble family. I stayed here last night when I came for a meeting. The Rooms are well maintained and Clean Barth Room. Aircondition rooms. Very reasonable rates and delirious food made by Chandra villa owners wife. The university studying son Sandeep who helped in service. This will be my home away from home when ever I visit Galle.
We stayed for 2 nights. The location isn’t amazing, it’s away from the fort. It’s by the beach but sadly the beach is has lots of rubbish and plastic on it. There are few restaurants nearby. However, the place itself was nice. We had one of the rooms on the second floor. It was airy and spacious. The owner seemed nice. The breakfast was decent. The fan would occasionally make lots of noise in our room. That was a bit annoying but it wasn’t all the time. For the price the place was really decent.
Nice place to stay just outside Galle. Only 200 rupees to get to downtown or fort. There are rooms with and without air conditioning. At the end of the garden there's access to the lake. Just outside the villa you have the sea with a tiny tiny beach. The owner is super friendly. He helped us with transportation to Tissa.
Nice house with a nice garden near by a river. The host is tealy kind and helpfull. Good accomodation for a day or 2. Nice breakfast and clean big rooms. Wifi is oke. On request it is possible to make a boot trip on the river. Do not forget to visit the steelfisherman.
