There was a patch on the ceiling that didn't even qualify as amateurish. Really?
As soon as I opened the door my nose was assaulted by an "interesting" (read unpleasant) smell.
Black mold just outside and also in the shower.
Price was right for my two night stay, room was clean but definitely had a smell. Bed had a wobble in it. Hotel needs an upgrade desperately and breakfast more of a variety and upkeep. In a money making area would be well worth the investment.
Great staff and owner. They will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. It’s conveniently located across the street from SUNY Albany with a great little restaurant next door. Clean and perfectly located, despite its outdated decor.
"Avoid room 228"
"get a room with tile or wood floors, its cleaner."
"Do not stay here. Pay a little more, and stay at the Hampton Inn next door."
"Ask for a room in the main building (near the desk)"
"Inquire about rooms with 2 queen beds. They were only a small additional price, and were very roomy. We didn't see a basic room however."
