The hotel is very old and in need of a desperate makeover, it does not resemble anything like website photos, the hotel is adding rooms and it adds to a very unpleasant experience, the area surrounding the hotel is rundown, the staff however are generally friendly and helpful

Friendly service. Nothing outstanding. No provision for phone charging as the plug sockets are too small. Different to the usual size. Food very good. Rooms are small. We stayed in a newly refurbished room 104 or 108. Excellent toilet with all new gadgets.

Stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of November. It is a very basic hotel, no extra amenities. Bathrooms are super tiny and not very functional. Bathroom and room itself was clean enough. Breakfast and dinner buffet was adequate.

The hotel is in the upper part of Tiberias, so although possible to walk down the the lake front, I suggest taking a taxi. The hotel is along a busy road, so it can be quite noisy. On top of that, the hotel is building an extension, so when the builders started in the morning it was very noisy! The...

We had a little difficulty finding this hotel because Google maps insisted on taking us to another hotel (The Golan Hotel) nearby. The location is not great unless you have your own transport; there is lots of free parking space. This hotel is good value when booked online. Hallways and public areas are a little tired, but our room was...

We rented two rooms for a short Passover family vacation. The hotel is situated in a residential area, a few minutes drive from the shopping centers and the beach. The main entrance is from a small alley. It has no parking lot, but there was no shortage of free parking on the street near the entrance. The rooms were rather...

Value for money hotel. No plush extravaganza but altogether it's good. Reasonably good rooms with a good buffet spread for dining. As with most of the hotels in Israel, the staffs are not very friendly or pleasing but guaranteed that they will do no harm. I have stayed here in two occasions and I have pleasant memories. Try to get...

My Mom & I stayed at the Astoria Hotel in Tiberias in late March & were thoroughly impressed! The room was newly renovated & very clean; their personable & accommodating staff, including the manager, made us feel right at home; & the beds were firm & comfortable. The area appeared to be a safe environment as well. We highly recommend...

We made an almost last minute reservation and received what we wished to. In particular, a room with view towards the sea. The hotel refurbishes all the rooms, we had such a room. Very clean and comfortable. Kosher breakfast was OK.

As previous reviews mentioned, the staff are friendly and helpful. The following are my reasons for my low rating: towels were like sandpaper, air conditioner never really got the room cold, the hallway from the elevator to the room was like a sauna, they say wifi is available throughout the hotel but it only works within a radius of the...
