Using our wedding anniversary as an excuse, we recently booked a two night stay in one of the large antique rooms. Pros: --clean, beautifully furnished room--plenty of coffee and tea, hot and cold water on demand, mini fridge, safe, plenty of hangers and toiletries, extra treats, and Netflix on the big TV --wonderful spa--we both enjoyed a Swedish massage followed by a glass of bubbly --aesthetic and delicious buffet meals for breakfast and dinner with something for all tastes --polite and attentive service at check-in and in dining room --very nice and conscientious lifeguard at the pool --gorgeous, well maintained landscaping --fairly well equipped fitness room The Cons which keep it from getting that last circle: --on arrival nobody holds the door open to let you enter reception easily with your bags--same thing when leaving--they say goodbye and just stand there watching while you struggle with the door --the TV doesn't come with any instructions and it was a bit tricky figuring out how to maneuver through the different options --the operating hours of the different facilities are not posted anywhere in the room --the pool floor is badly stained in places--it may be mold--not pleasant --too much crowding at buffet bottlenecks during at mealtime This is just a problem during the pandemic but it's bad enough that I was very uncomfortable getting so close to strangers. One possible way to deal with this is to spread out dining hours and allow fewer people in the space at the same time. --in the fitness room they are missing all the free weights over 1 kg. and under 6 kg and since I normally use the 4 and 5 kg. weights a lot it was a nuisance --some of the dishes in the dinner buffet were overcooked and dry

This was the second time we visited that hotel and the "corona" atmosphere made us skeptical of how much we could enjoy our short vacation. But we had a very pleasant stay .We only regretted it was short. The room ,one of the standard, was spacious and well equipped. The food was delicious and dinner with the attentive service of the staff was nothing less than equal to the best restaurants. We will come again for sure.

The Scottish Hotel provides an intimate, clean and relaxed experience. Quick check in , meticulous explanation, a smile and caring for pleasure and creating an experience. Pleasant, spacious and clean room. Aesthetically pleasing food, meticulous service does not pretend to be top-notch and yet a high-quality, clean kitchen and comfortable seating, beautiful dishes and a relaxed and high-quality atmosphere. Pleasant spa treatments and professions, and the real asset of this place is a trained staff who wants to complete the quality experience of our staying are the executives and managers and staff are available to take care of and interest which is not to excessive. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience Yoram Levy

The Scots Hotel was originally a hospital. It is right on the Sea of Galilee and has beautiful gardens. The entry lobby and registration desk area are small and you have to go outside and up a flight of steps to get to the main level where the elevators to the rooms are. The restaurant is across the courtyard, so you have to go outside to get to it. The staff did bring the luggage up to the room. It was raining on and off when I was there so it was a bit inconvenient to have to go outside to get anywhere. That said, the rooms were very nice, with all amenities. Breakfast and dinner are in the same restaurant and both are buffets. The choices were adequate, but not on the scale of some of the other upscale hotels. The location is excellent, right on the Sea of Galilee and the gardens are gorgeous.. There is actually a convenience store and an ATM right across the street.
