We booked Panorama Hotel Tiberias for 4 nights through bookings.com and as per the manager of the hotel we had the best room in the hotel as it had balcony. On returning late evening, realized how bad the room and bath room as one has to stand next to the toilet to have shower and every thing inside was patched up old and bad. Not able to lay on bed as the old bed mattress had worn/ broken springs and did not support the body weight and slid off the side. Bed sheets were old and worn and torn on edges.Air con was so old and making so much noise we had to turn it off. The road noise was unbearable as the hotel is located by the main road and roundabout. All of them nice photos you see on line are false and has got nothing to do with this hotel. Called Hotels.com after midnight and told them we have to get out in the morning. They spoke to the owner in the middle of the night as he was on duty, he refused to refund the money for 3 unspent nights. The owners hide behind being nice with sweet talks just to rob paying customers. They are not at all interested in providing the comfort and service for which thay charge which we paid over 100 US dollars per night. This not a hotel but 3rd class hostel. Till now I have traveled 78 countries and this is the Worst I have ever seen. There are many hotels in Tiberias with much better facilities and comfort for the money. …
Panorama is not 5 star but the prices represent good value. the rooms are clean and everything works. Reception staff are friendly and helpful. There is a well equipped kitchen for guests to use and the hotel is near the main restaurant area. Try El Rancho restaurant which is just a few minutes walk for a great meal. Take note that the servings were quite big for us so we shared our meals.
Cheap budget accommodation in Teberias. Suitable for back packers and cheapskates only. If you rate this place one star you are lying to other travelers because you know you chose this place based on price in comparison to other hotels nearby that are three times more expensive. Beds are the old spring type and I’m suspect about the linen not having been washed. The bathroom is practically as budget as it can get (this is the hotel where you wear your thongs/flip flops in the shower just in case). The rooms themselves are tiny with no luggage space. The A/C smelt terrible so I didn’t use it. You can hear every noise from outside and the corridors. Note: There are multiple levels with stairs only. There is no elevator at this hotel. None. Good parts were it’s location, price, free parking and the view if you’re lucky to get a sea view room. I’d strongly recommend staying elsewhere if you can. This hotel is not suitable for couples, family, the elderly or extended stays. …
...was great about the Panorama Hotel. I bet that fifty years ago this would have been a fairly decent room, BUT the staff was really friendly, they have a common kitchen where you can make food if you like, the location is pretty hard to beat, and...dig THIS - in the morning the lady at reception, upon finding out that we wanted to go to the local hotspring spa, wrote something on the back of the hotel business card and told us to give it to the person at the ticket counter at the spa. We did, and after reading it, the lady there just smiled and said, "Go to the pools, have a good time!". Room: cheap. Free spa: SWEET!
The hotel tries to squeeze as meny people as possible in a room - it results in no comfort, but cheap as for Israel. It is well placed - city center, close to everything, but I do not reccomend to stay over one night.
