If I could give this place a rating of no "stars" I would since it doesn't deserve even one. I have stayed here numerous times in the past and I knew exactly what to expect - a simple, basic, reasonable place to stay but not this time. The property gets worse and worse each time - even the difference between my stay a month ago and the recent stay is significant. I had booked 4 nights as I needed to be in the area for work - in 4 nights the bed was not made once and the sheets were never changed. The trash in the kitchenette was not emptied. The kitchen has one outlet for the electric kettle and the microwave and the hotplate (which is hiding in the cabinet) so that you have to constantly be plugging and unplugging appliances. The kitchen sink was stained and dirty. The tub which was a jacuzzi had rust at all the jets and had numerous stains, the shower curtain was moldy, ceramic tiles on the bathroom walls looked like they were going to fall out. The balcony had dirty coffee cups and a bowl full of cigarette butts and ashes, plus had not been swept or washed in forever. There were loose outlets falling out of the wall, the heating- air conditioning unit took an advanced degree to figure out how to make it work and then it did not work well - it had to be set at the highest possible setting (30 deg C) to feel comfortable - windows and balcony door did not shut well and were a source of cold air. There was one thin blanket on the bed. The breakfast (which is served at the hotel next door) had erratic food - all the hot/cooked foods were extremely oily - all of these foods on heat trays were never hot, barely warm and even when an omelette was made to order it was cold and greasy - not a good way to start the day. The free wi-fi is erratic - there were times I gave up on it and simply used my phone data plan with my phone as a hot spot. There's more but you get the picture. When I brought these concerns to the front desk clerk while I was checking out - he attacked me and said that I should have told him sooner and check out was not the time for this. I asked him to relay my concerns to the management to which he responded that he is the manager and that with my attitude he does not want me as a customer ever again. So I conclude with - he will never have me as a customer ever again and I urge everyone to go anywhere else.…
I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Tiberias. The rooms are large and very clean -- we had a large bedroom with a balcony overlooking the Kinneret, a kitchenette with a sink, refrigerator and a microwave and a big bathroom. We found the staff very helpful and friendly, There is lots of closet space, more than we've found in other hotels and a safe.. There is parking right in front.. The hotel is an easy walk to the promenade, to the beach and to some very good restaurants. The price is right at $105/day plus an extr $5.50/person for a very good breakfast a a sister hotel around the corner. The only drawback was the lqck of a pool since it was in the high 90's (30's C) during the time we were there. Not too bad for us but if you have children, it's something you'd want to consider. This is not a luxury hotel just a good clean convenient place to stay without emptying your wllet…
My family and I travel very often and stay at many hotels. When I say this place is a lie, believe me. There is no connection between the photos they have on hotels.com and Trip Advisor vs reality. I think staying at a hostel is even better. This is a total scam and not ok to ruin a vacation like this. Air conditioned barely works, everything is super old and nasty. They beds are all singles pushed together. It was just embarrassing. Of course when I called Hotels.com to refund me so I can go to another hotel, they said they couldn't. The balcony which is discussing and nowhere near the direct site or the Sea of Galilee which they promote Is total BS too. It’s not even walking distance. First 4 photos are the reality. Don’t stay there
We stayed in the quad room on the first floor. The pictures of the quad room on hotels.com and orbitz sites were NOT EVEN CLOSE to the look of the room we got. The furniture in our room was old and worn. Our "balcony" looked onto some bushes as we were given a room on the ground floor. We could not be moved to a higher floor because they were fully booked. Air conditioning worked well, and the beds were comfortable. HOWEVER, the dishes were fairly dirty; we washed every glass/cup before we used it. We had planned to make a meal or two but the only cooking equipment was an ancient looking hot plate. (The room description clearly said there was a stove top and oven; neither of those items were in the room.) The balcony was disgusting and unusable with dirt and bird droppings all over. The floors inside were dirty too. Buttons on the remote were broken off. The front desk staff were not very helpful, failing to follow through on helping us with a boat ride several times. You can park for free right on the street. We walked around a bit in the morning, but there was not much activity.…
THE WORST !!! I cannot put in words my disappointment but I will try. First of all the receptionist Didn’t even bother to look in my eyes when he asked for the passport or my name. No smile. Full of attitude and why the sad face for the place. We come to the room and everything is dirty including the table and not even one glass was washed. I went down and I asked for the manager and he said that there is no manager until Sunday. It is Friday evening. Whoever heard of such a thing? They promised deceive you and we got the Cityview. I have until Sunday here and I don’t see how they can change my mind but I will not ever ever ever recommend it to anyone. Especially when you pay so much per night. Stay away
