The setting couldn't be more lush or peaceful! The staff is wonderful: always welcoming, friendly and helpful. My granddaughter and I are completing our five nights here before heading for home tomorrow, sad to say goodbye to this beautiful culture. After two weeks in the Candidasa area, we didn't know what to expect, but we couldn't have been more delighted....

Alam Indah is an oasis in Ubud. Surrounded by lush tropical gardens with visiting geckos and butterflies. We have stayed in Lily,Pisana and Pumpkin. Lily is secluded and with a pond in front. The monkey forest is nearby but they dont come onto the grounds only the drive.i did wake one morning to few of them climbing the top of...

While close to the center, the properties are on the opposite side of the Monkey Forest. The property and staff retain the authentic Balinese style of tasteful and character of the Balinese spirit. Family owned and operated, the matriarch's beginnings were that of establishing Cafe Wayan. Another strong recommendations amongst the plethora Ubud now offers. Elizabeth Gilbert, author of Eat,...

Alam Indah is a wonderful place to stay. It is a peaceful and calm oasis in Ubud. The garden is beautiful - with butterflys, flowering orchids, small birds and lily ponds. Breakfast and afternoon tea and cake are delicious. The staff are lovely and accommodating. It is only a short walk along the side of the monkey forest into town...

My friend and I stayed in the twin Lily room at Alam Indah for 4 nights and it was a delightful experience. I've read previous reviews about bugs etc and I have to say that I didn't find that a huge problem but you do have to realise that you're staying in a traditional Balinese house next to a monkey...

The best of three Alam hotels, all located in the very residential, serene south of the Monkey Forest Sanctuary but are within 30-mins. walking (through a small motorcycle lane next to the Sanctuary) or a 10-min. convenient hotel shuttle to Ubud Centre. The Alam Indah environment is lush with tropical flora and fauna, the ambience - simply charming, quaint, and...

We have just had a lovely 7 night stay in the Hibiscus room and agree with what everyone has written about the friendly staff, the superb views and the delicious coconut pancakes for breakfast. I'd also suggest that you try the yellow porridge which is like a saffron risotto. In particular, I refer to the review 3 prior to this...

A very good hotel - the view from our room over the frangipani trees was spectacular. A particular highlight was the partially open (although very discrete) shower which has views over the monkey forest. The breakfast is excellent as are the staff, who were super helpful. The free shuttle bus into town is a nice added bonus. The only real...

My partner and I stayed at Alam Indah for 6 nights in the Gardenia Suite and we both really loved everything about this hotel! The Gardenia Suite is a little two storey house with a downstairs lounge and bathroom, and upstairs the bedroom, balcony and another full bathroom. Everything was really clean and house keeping came in everyday whilst you...

I spent 3 nights in the Hibiscus room and from the moment I arrived the staff were wonderfully welcoming. As I arrived at night I had to wait until the following day to see the amazing views to the volcanos from the balcony but really they were beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, by the time I had worked my...
