This is about the worse place on earth to stay. You definitely make a very very wise choice not to come here for the following reasons: 1. The bedsheets are all stained w dirt or blood patches n feel dusty. 2. The mosquito net is stained n has small bits of trash on top of it. 3. The toilet sink...

Matahari is an absolutely lovely place to stay. The staff members are truly incredible, as is the food here. Breakfast in bed, on the cottage terrace, or in the shared veranda......your choice. If chocolate crepes, fresh fruit, and yogurt sound good, Matahari is your place. Each morning is something different and wonderful! High tea is something to be experienced and...

We had booked to stay at Matahari Cottages for three nights in November but only stayed the one. This is a classic example of how a website can differ from the reality. The room was dirty (see closeup photo of bathroom) and had a good collection of critters. No air-con or ceiling fan meant a noisy free standing fan was...

Matahari is a delightful, beautiful oasis a few minutes stroll from the Ubud action but serene and peaceful. The whole place has a genteel, slightly eccentric feel which we loved and the breathtaking breakfasts were only surpassed by the sumptuous afternoon teas. I am something of a connoisseur of English Afternoon Tea and the Victorian Tea was as good as...

Does it come any better than this for the price in the peak of season? The location is excellent. Fantastic staff, great breakfast, wonderful setting, an enjoyable jungle pool and themed rooms, all this and more to come......the afternoon tea - wow!!! The towels are presented daily wrapped up in ribbon, ample supply of shampoo and conditioner and the aromatherapy...

Matahari Cottage Bed and Breakfast is a delightful place to stay in Ubud. It's centrally located and beautifully landscaped. The staff couldn't be friendlier and the food was delicious. There are 6 cottages and each has a different theme. I stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed a different cottage every night. I loved Matahari.

We could only say we haven't had any better service than this. The staff were all so helpful and we felt so pampered. The breakfast are differnetlt everyday and the afternoon tea was such a blast. We couldn't finish all the wonderful tea treats freshly made by the staff in Matahari. We really wonder how they learn to make strudel....

I recently stayed at Matahari Cottage for one night. I had originally booked for 5 but was very disappointed after one night and decided to find somewhere else to stay. There were other guests who did the same. I booked Matahari onine and paid $55 a night. On the day I arrived I overheard a conversation with someone enquiring about...

My girlfriend and I had a great time at the Matahari. The service was excellent. The staff there tries their hardest to do all they can for you and they are truly kind. The dishes they serve for breakfast are delicious and varied. The same is true of tea time and they give you plenty to eat so you don't...
