My friend and I stayed 5 nights and had zero complaints. The family was nice, accommodating, and generous, and the room met all of our needs. There is nothing particularly fancy about the place, but it is an excellent price for what you get. The breakfast was delicious; we had three options: omelette, banana pancakes, and fried bananas. Wifi was...

I arrived an hour early and was offered a fan room as the one I booked was occupied. I had booked aircon so refused. She asked me to come back and she would sort it out with the girl in the room i was supposed to be in. I came back and was taken to her brothers round the corner....

Just stayed here for one night, really enjoyable experience, family can't do enough for you. Location is just off a main Rd, but set back enough that you can't hear traffic. Rooms where spotless, one we was given had a brand new air conditioning unit, better water pressure and sewage than a 4 star hotel we came thru prior to...

I was here a couple years ago and it is a fantastic homestay! Beautiful woodwork, nice private rooms with private bathrooms. Breakfast every morning was so delicious, and the family that hosts you is absolutely wonderful. Very central in Ubud as well, I walked everywhere I needed to go.

We were here last week and I must say we had the best time!!! Lovely people, very friendly and treated us like a family. As it is a traditional homestay please don't expect luxurious or fancy amenities. It's a decent place at such price. Breakfast is complimentary, banana pancakes and fruit salad. Monkey forest and Rice terraces are nearby, walking...

Very happy with my choice to stay here. Cheaper than most hotels and wanted my own room rather than stay in a hostel. The family who own it are lovely, all very helpful and determined to ensure you enjoy your stay. Room was a decent size, cool, clean and had reliable hot water. The breakfast each morning was lovely -...

I had a lovely time in Ubud and initially booked only two nights at Jangkrik to check it out, and ended up staying longer than two weeks. The family is friendly and helpful while giving you privacy, breakfast is good with enough variety, and rooms are clean and spacious. Best of all, it's extremely central, within 5 mins walk from...

We have stayed at the jangkrik homestay for the last 3 nights and it was okayish. The staff is superfriendly and the rooms are fine. Please note that the (at least our) badroom does not look like the one in the pictures at the website. Further, the shower hasnt any power (see picture, this was its max). If you dont...

“-Even without A/C, the room is very cooling at night and the fan is quite strong -It is less noisy upstairs, but staying at the first floor also have its benefits. You can interact more with the host and the dogs and cats when you stay at the first floor. -May have a few mosquitoes -Water pressure is slightly lower but heater is included -If you need an extra mattress, e.g. 3ppl staying in a 2-man room, you can rent a mattress from the homestay at about 100k rp. (Don't worry it is very clean).”
