I'm a 33 year old unemotional guy, I've spent over 10 years travelling and consider myself quite fair with reviews and not too over dramatic...but Sugars is such an amazing place and the staff are so genuine and kind it almost brought me to tears when I had to leave. We were greeted by the owner (Nyoman) upon arrival and...

Take notice of all the other positive reviews, they're right. It was a joy and a delight staying at Sugars with Nyoman and his team the perfect hosts - nothing is a problem. The best compliment we can give is that we will most definitely go back.

This is a lovely owner run set of three villas just outside of Ubud city area. These are newer construction and very nicely built. This small resort is very quiet and has a lovely pool, small bar/eating area. Everything was clean and neat! Our villa's patio overlooked a koi pond and rice fields. The room came with a king size...

Sugars Villa made a excellent start of our (first) trip to Bali. The reception was genuine and friendly. We've felt very welcome. Sugars Villa is more a luxurious homestay then a resort. Priority goes to a personal approach above (useless) things you normally find in fancy boutique hotels. It is quite far from Ubud centre - but for us, this...

Sugars Villas- in the Hills of Bali- is really as near to Paradise as one can get. Three separate Villas, Large infinity swimming pool, public living area- with huge TV and satellite TV, small bar and separate restaurant (you can request your favourite food and staff will go to market and purchase it- if they do not have). All very...

We arrived at Sugars on recommendation from friends. With no expectations we were welcomed like family to this villa. We were continually and pleasantly surprised that the staff/owners welcomed us and made us feel comfortable and at home from the outset. Nothing seems like too much trouble - pick up from restauraunts suggestion of activity etc - or even a...

My wife and I were traveling in Indonesia with our one-year-old baby and my sister-in-law for four weeks and we spent one week in mid-May and one week in mid-June in Ubud. After some research on multiple forums and online reviews, we decided to stay at Sugars Villas and it was the perfect place for us. The staff members are...

The property provided the true village life of Ubud. I would not recommend it to anyone in need of five star hotel accommodation, because it is not. But you would like to see the Balinese village life, the surrounding of this property reflects that. The villa is nicely maintained, and staffs clean the villa everyday tirelessly. But remember you are...

I had originally planned to stay at Sugars for only the first week of my trip to Bali, leaving my schedule open for whatever felt right - I went with the flow and ended up happily extending my stay for 2 weeks! The charm of the villas with the serene backdrop of the rice paddies is made into a wonderful...

I thought long and hard about writing a review on Sugars villas. Having read the other reviews I would swear I had stayed at another location. We arrived at 1am and were shown to our villa which straight away felt very exposed. There are lots of windows and all the curtains are white and you feel like you can be...
