Gayatri was our first stop in Bali, we figured after a long few flights from Florida we wanted to relax in Ubud and get over some Jetlag. Well we picked the PERFECT place to do it. Gayatri's staff greets you at the entry with warm welcome and flowers showering the walkway. We picked a rooftop room with a open roof shower and WOW was it beautiful, from sunrise to sunset the view was incredible. They bring free breakfast to your room every day, and I couldn't have been more impressed with the presentation and breakfast delivery. Terima Kasih to all the staff and the owner of this beautiful place. Stay here you won't regret it.

I had booked the double suite Room No 17, the room comes with its private balcony and sit out and open rain shower bathroom- which was beautiful. The Room itself was compact with kettle, complimentary water fruits. Strong AC, but it was the bed linen and the towels which really made it feel luxe. the Pillows, duvet and the mattress as high quality and had a soothing beautoful spa like fragrance which honestly put me me to sleep. Towels are the the most absorbent and new towels iv seen in a while. The View from the balcony is stunning since it is high on the roof. Breakfast is served in the balcony, as early as 6.30 am which you can have with the rising sun. This is a vegan and sustainable hotel the breakfast option was fantastic, healthy with 2 mains and 2 juices- excellent quality and presentation
Negatives- The rain shower head needs to thoroughly cleaned, there was a trickle of water, almost non existent. The climb up to the suite was VERY steep and not intended with anyone with bad knees.

Oh Gayatri Hotel, I have dreamed of coming back since Covid stopped us from travelling! My stay was just as wonderful as I remembered!
Seeing Ayu’s lovely smile and face, along with all of your excellent staff was like being welcomed back to an old loved family 🌸.
I first stayed in Room 16-Kresna, in 2019, and loved it so much I was going to stay there again, but this time was lucky enough to enjoy Room 17-Garuda on the very top floor Penthouse suite. WOW. What a view!
The bedroom itself is beautiful and serene and the views from the balcony were incredible, lucky enough to see Mt Agung in the early morning.
The outside shower was lovely and they have water filling stations which is lovely.
I literally love the food here so much, I actually only ordered food from the hotel, it’s ALL delicious and beautifully prepared but I love the black rice pudding in particular!
Pool and gardens, along with the beautiful Balinese architecture is top rate and Gayatri is a serene oasis in the middle of very busy Ubud right off Monkey Forrest Rd near the Ubud Palace and markets.
I actually love waking up to the children arriving at school and hearing them sing, this is a family hotel with a long history and Ubud has gotten busier and built up around this Hotel so a little noise is to be expected.
I follow the owner on Instagram so have learned the history as well as admiring their philosophy on taking care of their employees, sustainability and approach to life.
Highly recommend to anyone who loves learning about Balinese culture and life.
Til next time Gayatri 😘🇦🇺🙏

ayatri was fantastic. The service I received here was exceptional. Having stayed at many hotels of big chains across the globe I would rate Service at Gayatari the best I have ever received. From Check-in with Wulan to daily interaction with Puspa, Ayu or Cyntia for our needs, the response we got was polite and immediate. Full marks to them Although their breakfast was Vegan which is supposedly good for us vegetarians but for my children it was a kind of no options as without milk or cornflakes it completely blocked their choices. Also for my room which was on the GF the AC was kind of ineffective but still manageable. Infact the way Gayatri is located and surrounded by full vegetation they should also make provisions of fans in the room. This will certainly reduce the usage of Aircons overall. Just a suggestion.

Well-kept Indonesian-style hotel in the very center of Ubud. Ubud is a complicated city because it is structured around a long main street and two main streets perpendicular to it, but very far from each other. An accommodation may seem to be in the center but need more than half an hour on foot (or by car because the traffic is horrible) to get there. Well, this hotel is actually on the main street, in a pedestrian walkway that takes it away from the hustle and bustle, creating a quiet environment right in the center. In the surrounding area there are many places to eat or dine, shops of all kinds, spas, etc. The pool is fantastic, the rooms are nice and the breakfast is wonderful. We used it as a base for our tour of Indonesia: we made circuits of several days to Komodo, Nusa Penida and Gili Air and between each of them we returned to the Gayatri where we were welcomed as if we were returning home (the large suitcases were stored for us which allowed us to travel light. They also have a good laundry service.

The hotel is absolutely amazing. Small boutique style, with amazing personalized service. Breakfast was served to our room every day - lots of selection and everything we tried was delicious. Our family of four had plenty of space in our massive room. The pool was serene and only steps from our room. The staff was very accommodating and helped us book activities to do while in Ubud. We really didn't want to leave, and can't wait to go back again!

This is my third trip to the beautiful Gayatri, a gorgeous traditional Balinese style family owned boutique hotel. The staff, the food, the beautiful rooms, the peace and quiet all make our stay perfect. I also love that they provide drinking water to help reduce plastic bottle consumption.

We stayed two nights in Gayatri, on recommendation of other travelers who stayed there and raved about it. It was indeed amazing!
We were in room 17, the top floor with a near 360 view of the city and surrounding Bali countryside. The room was very nice, everything in great working order, outdoor shower was beautiful. Staff were wonderful, friendly, attentive, helpful. Delicious multi-course breakfast delivered to our room was quite a treat! We enjoyed the pool and walking around the grounds, which abound with truly amazing handcarved sandstone Balinese sculpture, bas-relief, carved doors, and other art. It's shocking how much craft and artistic effort goes into building and maintaining this hotel, and I don't know how they do it while charging such reasonable prices. I was delighted to pay for our room - I felt like a patron of the arts!
And in the center of Ubud, where streets are crazily crowded, everything feels commercial, and it's increasingly difficult to find anything that's actually Balinese, it's really nice to be able to slip down a nice cobblestone alley and step into this gorgeous oasis, our temporary home there.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights in November 2022. It was sensational. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed, and we were amazed at the beautiful, unique decorations (see picture of the door to our room!). The pool was heavenly, and between trips to the many nearby notable destinations, I also spent hours just relaxing on our private balcony. We ate exclusively at the hotel and had no stomach issues, and the food was absolutely delicious. I am already planning a return trip.
