The place is located in the magically beautiful upper rice fields of Ubud and has an amazing expansive overlook of the river valley below. If you're into swimming and yoga, you've found the right place with so much more. Upon arrival I met Ashish, the talented owner who also teaches yoga and gives Vedic astrology readings. I was immediately taken into their family that includes their beautiful and sweet baby daughter...a real bonus. His very friendly Balinese wife is both a wonderful host and excellent cook who prepared yummy breakfasts. I stayed in one of their more rustic natural round bamboo bungalows with a very comfortable queen bed. Its the most quiet place at night I've been in all my travels and got the best sleep ever. If rustic is not your style, there are more modern rooms below the yoga studio that face the swimming pool and lush valley below. What's not to like here...well maybe the mosquitoes, but I even got used to them ! There are nice sitting areas outside all the rooms and facilities for cooking or food prep if desired. If you're more into feeling nature, relaxing and good family vibes...you would be comfortable here.

What an amazing find - just what I was looking for. Away from it all in the rice fields on the edge of a tropical valley - secluded enough to really wind down and fully relax - the town is 10 minutes away on foot, 3 minutes by motorbike. The property has four atmospheric & well kept rooms - two with own kitchenettes, a large swimming pool & ideal yoga platform overlooking a view to die for! There's a feeling of spaciousness here - perfect for mindful moments and creative inspiration. Unlike other larger yoga studios in the center, (a little overfilled and over trendy for my taste) - teachers at Putu Yoga (with its all embracing 'come as you are vibe') offer asana, pranayama and meditation sessions for all levels in an atmosphere conductive to slowing down, focusing inward and connecting to self & the incredible nature around you. Yummy vegetarian breakfast included with vegan option. Surroundings are tropical beauty, sounds of nature, scenic harmony of rice fields - where farmers go about their work, smiling locals greeting you on the path and where tonnes of photo moments are waiting to happen :)

A hidden treasure! Overlooking a breathtakingly beautiful lush green valley . . . An idyllic location run by a sweet couple. In the rice fields of Ubud, this place has the atmosphere of a getaway retreat (where time stands still), with all the luxury of being centrally situated. Breakfasts are fresh and delicious, my room, 'Saturn' was clean, cosy and comfortable, real rustic style and very cute! Loved the morning and sunset yoga / meditation sessions overlooking the amazing view. The teachers were open, friendly, genuine and gentle in their instruction . . . making students feel accepted and welcomed just the way they are whether beginners or not. Location: In one direction, a small path leads deeper into the rice fields with little cafes and nature pure - the other direction to the centre of town with everything you could need, abundant restaurants, cafes, shops and entertainment. Highly Recommended for female solo travelers - felt very safe!
