Because of volcano we had to find somewhere else to stay as flight delayed and reviews were very good. The 1 bed villa was not nice at all so complained loud and long. Ms Yuni who said she was "just a staff member" turned herself...More
We booked a 3 bedroom villa for our dive trip. The villa was very spacious and the compound kept clean with a personal caretaker who comes in every morning at 9am and leaves around 4pm. There is a living area and dining area for us...More
Stunning villas. Clean and well maintained, a little haven of tranquility away from the main road. 5-10 minute walk to the shops, bars and beach.
My one piece of advice would be not to book through booking.com- book through the company directly if you can,...More
We have stayed at Emerald Villas quite a few times. The only thing that makes a difference is whether the unit is privately owned or owned by the administrators.
When we have stayed before there was lots of stuff left by previous guests, like condiments,...More
This is the most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. It really made our visit to Sanur and we were reluctant to leave for any reason including the beach (a short walk away) or the need for food (good restaurants nearby). Sanur is a...More

The pool was for my use only. However, because the 'maid' spent a large part of the day at the villa - a washing machine and ironing facilities is in a space behind the living area, I was very aware of her presence. A much larger party had occupied the space before my arrival - which meant there was a lot of washing to do. I obviously would have preferred that it was done off site.
The villa where we stayed had the sunbeds in the shade. This was fine for us. Maybe contact villa mangers to ask for villa with sun baking area?
We stayed at one of the smaller - 2 bedroom villas. the pool was still big.
