Basic hotel but good value. Rooms are very basic but have a TV, fridge and air conditioner. The beds are very hard. Pool area is quite nice with comfortable sun beds. Felt very sad for the poor living conditions of the Civet cat and parrots...More
The only good thing I liked about Prima Cottage was RYAN at front desk.
Besides displaying a civet cat in a cage as a supposed pet, ( which I reckon never gets played with) and two caged parrots (which I reckon never get to fly...More

I stayed for 3 nights in the most basic room. It had no aircon and the bathroom was super basic, but I wasn't expecting much more.
The best thing about Prima is the pool and breakfast (basic but tasty), and Ryan on the front desk!!...More
Our stay at Prima Cottage was fabulous. The 2 bedroom villa is at the back of the property and therefore has no foot traffic. The property had a beautiful Balinese feel to it with sensationally manicured gardens. The pool was small but perfect for our...More

When we visited Bali and stayed at the Prima Cottage, we simply took a taxi from the airport to the hotel. Simply be sure to have the address written down to help the driver find it. The cost of the taxi is preset at the airport taxi counter. There are also a lot of freelance drivers who will provide transportation for a slightly lower price.
I had made sure that I had enough cash in local currency to pay for the trip when I arrived. It is recommended to have "small" bills on hand : a few 10,000's for example (equivalent to US$1.00) as well as 50 and 100 000 (the largest bill - US$10).
When going east (to Sanur or Ubud, for example), the driver may ask whether you want to take the toll road ("jalan toll"). I'd say yes! The driver will expect you to give him the 10 000 Rp amount of the toll when he gets to the toll booth. This will save you at least 10 minutes on the trip, and double that if you arrive in late afternoon like we did. If the driver does not ask, then I'd make the suggestion myself.
For the return trip, Prima Cottage arranged for a driver, but we could also have easily found a taxi.
