Stayed there for the night and enjoyed the view of the lake form the bed, so we'll maintained. Some of the family members are so friendly and well mannered that they will win your hearts, but unfortunately some of then was completely the opposite, this is the only concern for me. Food and service is also very good but they don't have any room service which may be a problem for the elderly visitors.
We liked this place very much, for the friendliness of people but also because of its view on the roof terrace or from the room. It was in the morning so peaceful to have breakfast and coffee with view on the lake. Thanks a lot for this last stop before ending the Rajasthan tour, we recommend it really!
We stayed here for 3 nights and I must say that inspite of all the crowd and hustle bustle in Udaipur during the Dussera weekend, we had a really peaceful time at the Haveli. Some other guests do mention that there is traffic and parking problem around the hotel, but I suppose that is the case with all the hotels around lake pichola. Though we personally didn't face any problem with parking.
The hosts are great and the view from the room as well as terrace is awesome. We also liked the traditional Rajasthani thali offered at their restaurant. The terrace is a perfect place to unwind during sunset as well as at night when the unobstructed view of lake pichola is surreal. Would highly recommend the Haveli.
My friend and I visited 5 cities in 10 days so we wanted out last hotel to be great. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are so nice. I love the decoration and the view from the bedroom and the bathroom were incredible. The people working in the hotel are so nice and friendly: I have nothing to complain about. The food was nice and tasty and the thali we had the night before we left was delicious. I recommend this place to anyone who is travelling to Udaipur. The location and the people will make it worthwhile.
Situated right on the edge of Lake Pichola, the Kankarwa Haveli was our last major stop on our India trip. The ambience in the haveli was very calm and laid-back, with the occasional bark from a very friendly german shepherd and a few areas to read including a small library. The view from the rooftop was really incredible, especially at sunset with unobstructed views over the lake. Our room was clean, offered a superb view of the lake and had plenty of space for everything.
Thiverishi and Rudrangdadtm (I hope I've got your names right!!) and the team that run the haveli made us feel very welcome at every opportunity. From sorting us with meals for our train to cooking a delicious and homely last supper on the rooftop, their hospitality left a strong positive impression on us both.
Overall, would highly recommend this fantastic haveli for your time in the Udaipur.
