The finest luxury tented accommodation in Ranthambhore. We were back after a few years and the tents were taller and bigger. The outdoor areas were expanded as were the walks around the property. SherBagh takes care of everything. From the time your train reaches the station they take over. You will want for nothing. From your welcome on arrival, to the tents and bathrooms, the food and or course the game drives (safari). The food is grown locally and the highly trained staff are mostly from the nearby villages thereby helping the local communities. This is a place you will visit again and again
This is an extremely nice place to stay. The staff is very attentive and professional. The meals are exquisite. The permanent tented rooms are the highest quality and very well appointed. This is no doubt one of the finest places to stay in India (and certainly this area). We also stayed at the Serai in Jaisalmer; the Sher Bagh is a 10 out of 10 while the Serai Jaisalmer is an 8 out of 10 (same price). One night we had dinner next to an open fire pit which was very memorable. We LOVED out stay here! Tip: we are a family of 4 and they allowed us to take just one tent which they brought a rollaway bed (or two?) into the room. It worked great for our 8 and 9 year old boys.
Just HEAVEN! We stayed here for three nights in an ultra, ultra-luxurious tent. The staff is incredible, the service impeccable and the food fantastic. I cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. With only 12 tents, their attentiveness to the guests is unmatched. Seriously, if you can go here - do it!
Everything about this camp was superb, even when faced with disaster. From our greeting at the station and for the next 2 nights, we were looked after so well. The service was fabulous; nothing was too much trouble - mostly one didn't even need to ask. Our tent was beautifully appointed with colonial style furnishings, plenty of hot water and radiators. In fact, we were never allowed to get cold - hot drinks at early morning wake-up, fleeces in the rooms, followed by porridge with honey and brandy before boarding the jeep with blankets and hot water bottles! Breakfast following our game drive was wonderful in the dining tent - Indian scrambled egg and kedgeree both sampled and delicious. A hot water bottle again just appeared one morning because I was looking cold! Definitely use the camp's vehicles, with guide and driver - binoculars, hot drinks and tiffin all included! No time wasting picking up others - and we saw tigers on both our drives! We were meant to have 3 drives though but one was cancelled as we were waiting, due to a local religious festival. Random closures are not uncommon apparently. With hindsight, it didn't matter but we were hugely disappointed at the time. The staff recognised this and went out of their way to make amends, which we really appreciated as it was totally beyond their control. We loved the evenings - drinks around the camp fire and then dinner served in a different part of the camp each night surrounded by lanterns and flaming kadais. …
Just WONDERFUL! Greeted after 6 hour drive by hot towels, pink champagne and a very warm welcome. Beautiful authentic setting with beautiful luxury tents and not a TV in sight. Only 12 tents so felt intimate and very special. We just loved it, highly recommended.
