When you arrive at Raas and enter through a narrow passageway and see the Fort in front of you, it will take your breath away. We stayed in the Stepwell Suite for two nights which was amazing. This suite should be in Traveler magazine "Room with a view" in my opinion. Unfortunately it was too hot to sit outside and...

Stunning views from a stunning hotel. Perfectly situated at the foot of the hill and in the shadow of the fort, this haven of calm in the city offers respite for travelers. The staff are always warm and friendly and the rooms generous and immaculately maintained. The pool area is beautiful and the sunsets from the rooftop bar are amazing....

The food was very bad and disappointing, we ordered pasta in pesto sauce, thai curry (which was not thai at all) and chicken korma. The taste of the dishes were not up to the mark .We went for lunch and the food served was cold in spite of the scorching heat outside. The quantity of one dish did not serve one...

Beautiful boutique hotel with an great view of the fort. Location is relatively close to the Clock Tower Market but tucked away enough from the hustle and bustle. The architecture of the buildings was very cool and the decor was done tastefully (minimalistic chic). The pool was excellent and much appreciated in peak heat (it was over 40 degrees everyday)....

The hotel is located within the old city area and is accessible only through the most crowded and narrowest of the lanes I have ever seen. But once inside, its an altogether different picture. The property is awesome and the views of the fort are majestic. The rooms are large and new. The pool is very nice. The food was...

I accidentally enjoyed two nights here whilst traveling for business after numerous recommendations... I can't recommend it more. The drinks on the roof at sunset, delicious dinner, relaxing spa treatment, yoga on the rooftop early in the morning - just dreamy. A few quirks as typical in India but a really special place and I can't wait to come back.

Uptown chic boutique hotel right in old town. Perfect location. One caution there is a mosque next to the hotel so you do hear the call to prayer, but this does add to the ambience. Hotel supplies ear buds. Stunning pool and restaurant area. A great place to unwind and forget the street action. Breakfast was excellent.

Once you step inside the vicinity of the hotel, you will find the tranquility of the property. It is like you have reach the heaven or the oasis of the desert. I and my wife had bad experience on another hotel on the first day we arrived in Jodhpur. We decided to move to RAAS and it was a great...

This hotel is just unbelievable! The view you have from the hotel to the fort is amazing, excellent pool, bar and restaurants, not to mention the rooms which are also great. Also, must say that the spa was the best I have been in my life! If in Jodhpur, please stay here!

An amazing stay. Can't fault a single thing. Our duplex room was so comfortable it seemed a shame to leave!!! The food was exceptional and it has a great restaurant attached to a local small hostel. Make sure you visit 'Stepwell' cafe with a great view of the stepwell. The whole concept of the regeneration by this boutique hotel is...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Inside the Walled City of Jodhpur and under the imposing stare of Mehrangarh Fort, sits RAAS. The site was formerly the home of the aristocratic Thakur family, and the original 18th-century haveli has been carefully renovated to produce the four old buildings of the hotel. The three new buildings are modern and contemporary in their use of space and light, and yet are grounded in tradition. Jodhpur's red sandstone unites the new with the old, with modern designs in its latticing and carving adding a fresh dimension to the region's age-old stone carving industry. This seamless harmony between the old and the new, the modern and the traditional, extends to all aspects of RAAS. Almost all of the rooms have magnificent views of Mehrangarh Fort from both the private terraces and from the cast iron bathtubs, and those that don’t have their own private gardens and views over the old haveli and landscaped gardens of RAAS. The rooms are furnished with state of the art amenities: all rooms are air-conditioned with the latest eco friendly machines, and have overhead fans, hairdryers, safes, central heating, wi-fi, TV, telephones and en suite bathrooms. There are rooms with easy access for the handicapped and non-smoking rooms. RAAS boasts two fine dining restaurants, which offer both Indian and International cuisine: Darikhana is a beautiful terraced restaurant and the Baradari Café is inside the old pavilion and offers a relaxing location near the pool. There is also a luxury spa that offers a full range of treatments and a boutique shop. RAAS is the ideal place to soak up the rich local heritage of Jodhpur while at the same time indulging in opulent luxury and comfort. As soon as you drive through the old wooden gates in RAAS’s very own blue tuk-tuk, the majesty of Mehrangarh Fort will be tempered by your sense of relaxation. ... more   less
