One of the best heritage hotels in Jodhpur .. Parts of the hotel are 200 years old. The rooms are average and a little dated but the grounds make it worth staying there. The staff is very helpful. The location is perfect if you want to be inside the old city and near the fort

Jaisalemer is an exotic fairy town of Rajasthan without a doubt but unfortunately it is kept in a very bad shape. The entire town is littered with rubbish and the cow’s dropping all over makes it worst. We stayed at Mandir Palace which is the residence of the current Maharajah.. Built with sandstone, it gives a spectacular feel at night...

We went there in first week of June and although people warned us of summer , we were blessed with cloudy skies and pleasant weather. Our original choice of hotel was Suryagarh in the desert however due to off season it was under renovation. Looking at reviews on booked Welcome Heritage Mandir Palace - Surya Mahal Suite. The hotel as...

This was the best hotel we stayed in Rajasthan! Absolutely amazing to stay in a real palace that has been converted to a hotel! Clean, really nice sized rooms and amazing ambiance. The staff was friendly, and helpful. The breakfasts were meager and very basic, could definitely update on that. Good location, and walking distance to the fort.

I stayed at the Mandir Palace while on a trip through India. The Palace is a Heritage Hotel which means that it has historic value. The setting was good, and it was just a few steps from the town , but secluded enough within a courtyard setting. the architecture was amazing and there was a lot to see as you...

Hotel is stunning to look at. Great location near market and fort. Rooms rather basic, very plain. Dining Room basic. Only had breakfast there. Only offered English Breakfast. Nothing fancy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. manager especially so. Still because of location would stay again.

By look, Mandir Palace is a five start hotel of 2000 years of history with a direct view of the fort. When you check in, you will find the staff here also as cultured and knowledgeable of the history of the city as well as this palace. Mr. Bhojraj Singh was very friendly to me at check in and allowed...

Our family stay at Hotel Mandir Palace was a wonderful experience. At the heart of town it's a big and peaceful heritage property. Well furnished rooms are a blend of traditional and modern architecture as the whole Palace speaks about the royal and ancient architectural heritage. Garden Museum and Swimming pool area gives you enough reason to stay . Food...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A two centuries old palace converted into a hotel, WelcomHeritage Mandir Palace offers a concoction of medieval charm with the modern amenities. The main portion of the two centuries old Palace was built during the reign of the late Maharawal Jawahir Singh. This palace is testimony to the history of Jaisalmer with different portions of the palace being built by different rulers of Jaisalmer till as late as the beginning of the twentieth century. ‘Badal Vilas’, a unique tower like structure at Mandir Palace is the tallest structure in town below the hill-top city fort, reminding us of the incredible historical relevance attached to both the palace as well as the city of Jaisalmer. ... more   less
