We stayed at JeetMahal Hotel last January, we were in 5 friends travelling in India. We found this hotel by chance but it was our success! The hotel is good located, rooms are excellent, clean, good furnished, restaurant is good and there is a beautiful terrace with view to the fort. And more then everything the owners and the staff...

Lovely rooms, beautiful architecture, very friendly and helpful staff, amazing shower, inexpensive - what more could one want? Amazing fort views from the rooftop restaurant, which also offers delicious parantha, cold beer and a very mellow space to escape the afternoon heat or recover from a full day's adventures. The hot water is very reliable with a battery backup for...

My girlfriend and I stayed at a hostel listed in the lonely planet for our first night, while our friend stayed at the Jeet Mahal. When we compared rooms and prices that night, me and my girlfriend decided we would hop on over to the Jeet Mahal the next morning. We didn't regret it and ended up extending our stay...

Read many good reviews of this property on tripadvisor & other websites. After a couple of calls & mail exchange, we narrowed down to Jeetmahal for our stay at Jaisalmer. Avi (as most refer to Avinash) is gem guy. He not only personally picked up us from station but also ushered us to our room swiftly so that we can...

My friend and I had planned on staying three days in Jaisalmer, but due to the loveliness of the Golden City and friendly atmosphere at Jeet Mahal we extended our stay by a day. The roof top restaurant at Jeet Mahal has incredible views of the fort. The room was not only clean and comfortable, but had wonderful architectural features....

Interesting rooms; those by the main street are noisy from 5:30am until 10pm. Nice fort view from the rooftop restaurant, with very cold beer available. Not terribly clean - don't touch the pillow covers and bedspread, and check the bathroom floor for muddy spots indicating poor drainage and lackluster mopping. Hot water is very dependable. Has battery backup for frequent...

Hotel JeetMahal has a great location only a stones throw outside the fort. From their rooftop restaurant you have fabulous views of the fort that can't be topped elsewhere. Looking after their visitors is top priority and these guys are quite genuine. There is no pressure to organise any camel trekking while staying. They do have their own team for...

I loved our room at the Jeet Mahal with all the sandstone - it was like stepping back in time, and the room had air con and fans. Like in the rest of India, the hot water had to be turned on for us to have a shower, and the shower wasn't crash hot, but that's pretty standard. The beds...

I stayed with friends at this hotel in dec 2009 and absolutely loved it. Avinash and his brother, who run the place together, were gracious hosts and went out of their way to make our stay fun and comfortable. I wish I had arranged for our desert safari with them- our arrangements with a group called royal camps was an...

We went on a wonderful camel safari that was organized by Mr. Avinash of the JeetMahal Hotel. He was very quick to answer all of our questions and to organize our trip. He made sure there was enough food, water and bedding for all of us. We were travelling with 3 children so had to think more about this aspect...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Hotel Jeetmahal has 6 lovely rooms, and is in a great location just outside the Fort gates, and is very close to markets and main attractions in Jaisalmer. The hotel is an old heritage building which was built in the first decade of the eighteenth century by Jeetmal Bissa, who served as an architect at the Royal Palace of Jaisalmer. He surprisingly constructed this fabulous Haveli in his spare time, when he was not required to attend the Royal Palace. The haveli has jharokhas of exquisite carvings and this heritage haveli still has a wonderful atmosphere of old Jaisalmer.
