My wife and I stayed three days at Kaiya house and it was great. Debra has great recommendations of things to do and places to eat and takes you on an orientation walk. Since we were in town for festival season we went to a few Debra recommended and they were great. All of the staff at the guest house...

When I look back at our stay at Kaiya House, I have nothing but the fondest memories of the bright colorful rooms and hallways, decorated with artifacts around the globe. Each space in the house carries its own majestic ambiance, and a story to share. One of the most magical highlights of the house is the beautiful and peaceful roof...

I stayed here four times from October to December - the final time with my parents who had recently arrived in India. Debra is a fantastic host, from the first day she will show you around the area and answer any questions you have. Tip - definitely take her up on her suggestions of things to do: temple trip, local...

We stayed for four nights in December as part of our tour booked through Kerala Connections. Debra is a wonderful host supported by friendly and efficient staff. As soon as you arrive she makes you feel at home in her lovely quirky house with its splendid rooftop terrace. If she offers to take you on an early morning coastal walk...

Originally i booked to stay for 6 nights but quickly decided to extend it to 11 and i wish I'd stayed longer. Debra is an amazing host offering the warmest hospitality I've ever come across. We got on immediately and are still in touch now. Travelling on my own i tried to book somewhere sociable and Kaiya was definitely that....

I was so happy you extended your stay with us. Such a pleasure to have your warm energy in the house and the card games were too funny. I wish you a wonderful rest of your trip and so hope we meet again. Perhaps you can end your journey back here. The cash situation has become easier. Thank you for...

Kaiya House is a fantastic guest house only a short walk away from the beach and cliff top, Deborah and her staff were incredibly kind, attentive and helpful (given the currency situation). There was no shortage of tea (I'm british) and a wonderful Indian breakfast every morning. It is difficult to do it truly do it justice in a review,...

Our stay at Kaiya house was absolutely amazing. Debra is incredibly thoughtful and helpful; she emailed us before our visit to give advice on how to handle the money chaos, she gave us a really warm welcome and great tips on things to do in Varkala, and she accompanied us on walks to the cliff and the beach to ensure...

My husband and I stayed at Kaiya House for 3 nights in November. We absolutely loved it. We received a very warm welcome from Debra and her lovely team. The house is beautiful, especially the rooftop area, and Debra organised some really interesting things for us to do in Varkala. Her local knowledge is incredible. We especially enjoyed the 7km...

I couldn't recommend staying with Debra and her wonderful team highly enough. We enjoyed absolutely every moment of our stay, from Debra's hospitable welcome to her brilliant recommendations for local tours and walks. We also got to understand far more about Keralan culture and local festivals from Debra. The house itself is beautiful and very clean, with the gorgeous rooftop...

We had a wonderful time staying with Debra in Kaiya House. Debra and her staff are amazing. Her kindness and recommendations are priceless and it is worth every penny. The rooms are comfortable, clean and full of character. Breakfast on the rooftop is also great. We highly recommend Kaiya House.
